Drew Carey on Bob Barker's Price Is Right 40th Anniversary Snub: "It Just Didn't Occur to Anybody to Invite Him"

Bob Barker has made his displeasure at not being invited to the 40th Anniversary of The Price is Right well known. However, The Price is Right’s current host Drew Carey denies the alleged snub was intentional. Carey told TMZ,
"It wasn't because of animosity or anything like that ... nobody has anything against him ... it just didn't occur to anybody to invite him personally to be on the show because it was a salute to contestants."
It didn't occur to anybody to invite him? That's like NBC having a The Cosby Show reunion and forgetting to ask Bill Cosby to attend!

er...um....well....does Drew Carey really think that his statement will make things better? They are saluting contestants...many of which came to the show to see Bob Barker....and what? Let's back up though...they were saluting contestants or the show? That doesn't make sense either.

I think his attempt at damage control actually caused even more damage!
If this is "a salute to contestants," don't you think it would make for a better program if BB were to provide commentary since he was actually THERE for all these pre-Carey moments? I bet Carey will do it for the moments where he was hosting.
I also hate what they've done with TPIR since Drew Carey was hired.

I usually only catch the last 5 minutes of Price before my local news comes on,before Y&R.I just feel like Drew C is always talking down to the contestants.It also seems like he really doesn't want to say the nutured comment either.Really don't care for him.

Poor Bob I loved watching him on The Price Is Right with my mamaw growing up and now this want to be Drew Carey says they forgot to invite him!!! Do you forget to invite the spoon when you get a bowl of ice cream? Or chips when you have dip? Or milk when you have cookies? Come on Drew tell the true!!!! Just say "Ladies and Gentlemen I would like to take this time to say I am sorry to the greatest Game Show Host ever Mr. Bob Barker. I did not want to share the stage with him knowing that I could never be as good as he ever was. So I choose not to invite him to the show for the 40th Anniversary due to my strong feelings of animosity to him and this was my way to snub him. I am sorry."
That and a lot more is what Drew needs to say not the lies that are coming out in the media cause no one believes them.

I actually still watched the show after BB left, but this snub and that comment really makes me not wanna watch the show anymore.

Dumbass that he is, Drew probably does think it didn't occur to anyone. But Bob has not done himself any favors with TPIR since he left the show, so I would say it definately was a snub Just noone told Drew!
