The Bold and the Beautiful has more behind-the-scenes scandal going on right now than during the Kennedy White House. Could all of the shake-ups lead to a renewed focus on B&B's grown-and-sexy set again? A couple of items in the latest Soap Opera Digest offer a smidge of hope — and no I don't mean Logan!

First off, buried in the article about Ronn Moss' exit, there's a mention of "speculation" about former Days of Our Lives star Peter Reckell as a potential Ridge recast. It certainly wouldn't be the first time B&B snatched up an actor on the heels of a DAYS exit. Do the names Joe Mascolo and Brandon Beemer bell a ring, er ring a bell?
Next up is an item is the mag's popular "Stuff We Know (And Shouldn't Tell You)" section stating the word is out about Sean Kanan once again reprising the role of Deacon Sharpe. Can you say hell-to-the-yes?!

Sod, says Kanaan only coming back for a few episodes. As far as Reckell, IF, and that's a big if, they recast Ridge. I hope it's someone like Vincent Iriizary.

Reckell is a good actor but I haven't seen him play a character as sophisticated or arrogant as Ridge. Also, he's not as good looking as Moss.

Yeah, but in the long run, how will that matter if she is leaving? And since he is not Erics, and is in the same age group, I think he would be great. Besides, he can act! Not to say That Reckell can't, but Moss sure couldn't!

I think Reckell could pull it off he's had moments in the past were his acting has been really good its just been overshadowed by very stupid plotlines (that I of course watched and loved)

Peter Reckell is a very good actor--he just wasn't often given the material to show it. He could absolutely play Ridge. However, it was my understanding that the biggest reason he left Days was because he wanted more family time with his wife and daughter. So, not sure he would be open to another role on another show, but who knows? I just know that I will miss him so much on Days--I started watching Days in 1981 just when he and Kristian Alfonso started on the show.

Wonderful that Sean Kanan is coming back!
Actually, Peter Reckell is THE person I could accept as Ridge. I kind of hate that he has the "Ridge shadow" but I can totally see him as a fashion designer, ladies man, and father of Thomas and the other one.
I like Peter Reckell MUCH more than Ronn Moss anyway so. Welcome!

Well if B&B gets Peter Reckell to play Ridge maybe Days could steal Don Diamont away to play Bo. He is one of the few actors I could see being able to pull of Bo.

Sorry. Though I love Peter Reckell, I don't think he is douchey enough to play Ridge. Ron Moss had a sort of smug arrogance in his portrayal that may be tough to embody. Peter Reckell was always the eternal "good guy".
They would need to do a lot to get him to resemble the previous version of Ridge. The least of which is a physical transformation...Reckell needs some orange spray tan, and to grow his hair into an 80's style Bee-Gees cut again.

@everyone: Peter is a good actor. Plenty of recast look nothing like the original. And you are not going to be able to find a match. So Peter would be a great addition to the show in the role or another.
B&B needs someone to "bring up the level of acting..."

I think Peter could pull off Ridge Forrester since he's really not a Forrester. He's laid back but I still think he can make it...I'm tired of every time Sean Kanan comes back its "for a few eppys" just hire the guy for a long stint...geeze...he has a strong fanbase use the guy for cryin' out loud.

Really? I think Peter looks waaaaay better. Never got the whole attraction thing for Ronn Moss. He does nothing for me AT ALL. Ill take Thorne. Hell ill even take Eric over Ridge lol. But as far as a recast for Ridge maybe Robert Kelker Kelly?

Any good actor could replace Moss because he was so bad, plus he is freaky looking and that's very distracting. I like the VI idea, but he does evil so well that I would like to see him in another similar role like David Hayward.
