I think it will be one of the following: Alan Q, Duke Lavery or (long shots) Faison or Victor Cassadine.
Reasoning: Jerry has held Alan Q since the hotel incident. Taken by Faison who has held Duke all this time as vengeance against Anna. Duke has been ill and Faison wanted Alan to care for him. Then Alan couldn't help any longer and Faison took Robin to help Alan care for Duke. But how did Faison finance all this?? He went to Helena who turned him down. But Victor Cassadine (who has been in hiding for years) went to Faison and brokered a deal to finance his operation. He would want revenge on the Scorpio folks as vengeance for Robert's involvement in the death of his brothers (Mikkos and Anthony).
See how seamlessly it could all tie together???
SUPER WILDCARD GUESS: If Faison is involved, could he be holding Anna's twin sister Alex?? Thus trying to turn her into his own Anna?? That would be easy to keep under wraps since it involves no new actor coming to the set!!

everybody's guesses are good ones. I too think the surprise is not the person Anna finds on the stretcher but someone else that is seen at the clinic.

Whoever or whatever it turns out to be - I just want to thank Cartini for giving me a reason to want to turn back in on Monday

I hope its not Brenda. Still haven't gotten over her last appearance. Not anxious to see her Marty McFly sleeves and that laugh which sounds like a cross between a cackle and a bark.
If the mystery person is who Anna found then we need to look at females. Who would FV consider a huge surprise for the audience. I would think a vet. Kate did mention both Lucy Coe and Erica Cane. Emily would be a surprise for the Q's but without Nicholas it falls flat. Assuming the person that hired Jerry is a villain known to us, then maybe the mystery person is somehow connected to them.

THE SHOCKER IS THAT IT`S EMILY. BRENDA WON`T BE BACK INTO NEXT YEAR. I HEAR FROM SOMEONE WHO WORKS CLOSE TO FRANK. FRANK WANTS VANESSA MARCIL TO RETURN. BUT HE WANTS TO MAKE A TWO YEAR DEAL WITH HER AND ABC.THINK ABOUT IT . SONNY AND KATE / CARLY AND TODD/ SAM AND JOHN/ MIKE AND STAR/ EMILY AND NICK / JASON AND LIZ/ LUKE AND ANNA/ NOW BRENDA AND JAX. TALK ABOUT GREAT DRAMA.

If it is a vet, I'm thinking the reveal will be a "snippet" to whet appetites to tune in past Monday. I'm thinking Anna finds a "look alike" to throw her off as it's too soon for her to "find" Robin. I also think the reveal will be "away" from the "restricted area" of the Swiss clinic. Somebody, (the "Mastermind", behind the entire operation perhaps?), watching a multiple monitor/video feed, that includes Jerry and his announcement. My personal preferences would be (in no particular order), Alan, Emily, Georgie, Jake. Who do I not want it to be? Brenda. I have no use for the character. Even when she was written well she came across to me as a silly adolescent. Her last stint in PC didn't help even with the bit of maturation that occured upon getting her son Alec back. But that's me...

i'm changing my mind and now think that the big reveal is who's behind the Switzerland clinic, and not the actual patient herself.

I'm assuming its the dark haired lady Anna found in the padded room. My first thought was "Please let it be Robin." Then I found out we were being treated to some surprise and thought maybe a Robin reveal would be too quick. So my next guess was Brenda. And it would kind of be cool with Jax being back and all.
Now that I think about it, we might just be getting Alex as the lady in the room. But then that opens the door for RC to finally address stuff regarding Anna and her time on AMC that he seems to have overlooked. Mainly that she had a kid while on there.
Like someone said, I am just glad that the show is enjoyable again. Not perfect by any means. But enjoyable and I look forward to tuning in the next day

I want Jake, Emily, and Georgie to come back! I really don't want Brenda to be the surprise....at least not yet.

I agree with you. I saw the picture of Anna and the mystery patient she found. She doesn't look like anyone from the past. She looks likes a day player. It has to be Faison or a combo of Faison and Helena. Taking Robin hurts the Scorpios which points to Faison. Unleashing lethal toxins to hurt the people of Port Charles sounds like Helena. Especially since Nicholas is far away.

Judging by it being a woman that Anna walked in on, it could be the patient. Maybe it's Georgie...

I don't think the patient is the big surprise. The patient is supposed to look like Robin and Anna will think Robin is dead. Then we will find out the big surprise. Duke? Faison? It better not be someone from OLTL or AMC!

If either Emily or Duke is back that is just plain lame. Both characters have been killed in two different incarnations with 2 different actors. Its stupid. Get ready for another completely convoluted story like the 2 Todds on One Life.
And Ill bet anything that whatever this so called surprise is its already been spoiled in the press. For those of us who are web savvy Cartini havent hid anything. The story of Robin's disappearance was all over the web the right before Cartini's first GH episode hit the air, lol.
And so far it has played out exactly as it was spoiled. There's no such thing as keeping stories under wraps in the digital age, give me break. And I love all the fans coming up with their wishful thoughts without having any intelligent correlation to whats happening in the real world of the actors and the business. SMH.
All I can say is no more One Life of AMC characters. Those damn shows are dead and we dont need their refugee characters clogging up Port Charles. Any out of work actor with talent can come to GH in my opinion, but leave your former show's character at the freakin door. Cartini needs to get off their butts and create some new characters with ties to GH history. Here are a few ideas- Serena Baldwin, Rick Webber Jr, Tommy Hardy ( Adurey's bi-racial grandson), a new member of the Ward family ( lord knows Sonya Eddy is probably tired of being the token black that we see every 3 months or so, lol). Since Cartini are just as big of Sonny butt kissers as the Guza/Phelps regime how about recasting the part of Morgan Corinthos with perhaps Eddy Alderson ( ex Matthew OLTL)? Cartini are lazy hacks with no imagination.
Nelson Branco himself said it best, they dont love GH the way they loved OLTL. And their agenda is not to fix GH, but to continue OLTL. Sad.

Not sure how in one breath you can say they are SAK and then say they are trying to continue OLTL.
And yes, Nelson Branco is the guru in all things soaps.......(said with sarcasm)

Hmm, I think it's either Emily or Brenda, or maybe it's another patient Luke sees, or who's running that clinic, so many theories, can't wait.
BTW, as I thought that Frank V. is a total hottie, I'll work for him any day.

I dont think its Brenda. There's no real shock in it being her. Now, Emily is a viable option. But something tells me it may be about the mastermind. Whatever it is, it seems likes its gonna be one for the books.

I would love for the mystery patient Anna finds is her twin Alex because, as others have said, "More Finola = WIN" and a doctor at that! I don't think its her but I hope that comes somewhere down the line.
Too soon for Brenda to be back, although especially with the news of Vanessa Marcil divorcing, I wouldnt be at all surprised for a return engagement in the future. Perhaps she can bring ex-flame Jagger back to town with her? Their kids Alec and Stone would make cute play buddies.
Helena being back again is plausible especially given the use of Windemere as a base of operations. But not something that could be called a "surprise" by any means. Yawn.
Ian Buchanan as Duke is out of left field but...
Monday should be interesting. Lets see if they pull off a big one.

Has anyone here noticed the New Orleans connection? Joe raised Trey there, and Todd was held captive there for eight years. On Friday's episode, Todd let a stranger walk into his hotel room with a briefcase full of cash, and he sells his cable interest on the spot. Had it not been for the comic quip about the money, I would have guessed that Todd was being "controlled" by a handler from the compound. That handler, of course, would be Jerry Jax.

I don't think it would be an AMC or OLTL character because that wouldn't be very shocking or exciting to a GH only viewer & since this is GH, we have to respect that (I am a HUGE AMC & OLTL fan, so I know how I would feel). It could, however, be a past character from GH & also be used as a segway for the infamous Dr. David Hayward from AMC to make his entrance. He is the ultimate villian & also a "hero" of sorts known for his questionable medical practices that have brought beloved characters back from the brink of death. Could be a way to engage AMC viewers, too.

Mark my words. I'll bet money on it. Robin is going to be rescued by Duke and he is going to keep her safe until he can get her healthy. Robin isn't about to be reunited with Anna...not until April and the show's 50th.

Maybe it's that Kasey the Alien is really the one holding Robin!!!! Secret testing and all ya know!!
I really hope it's Alan or Georgie. Those are two characters that should have never been gone. Totally pointless...

Darn it. Was going to pick Jessie Brewer as a dark horse candidate for the surprise but I see that she was revealed to have died offscreen. Not that that means much.
HEY, maybe Bobbie Spencer?!?
