DC #683: The Bland and the Laid-less

Am I the only one who thinks Dante is as boring as watching paint dry? I don't know what happened to him. I really did like the character when he first showed up but then they made him Sonny's son and once he started to help back the mob I was kind of done with him and Lulu is just as bad she's like a miniature less fun version of Carly.

I'm excited to find out who the other villain is on "GH" that has to do with Robin's faked death. My money someone is on Faison. That's how it would make sense that it had to be Robin.

I loved Jillian's reference about Michelle Stafford saying that Eileen Davidson was "let go" and not "fired". LOVED IT!!!!
I'm going to miss Ashley. I was so happy when she returned back in 2008. This Paris location shot, the history with Victor. Great times. I think that was the last time I could really stand Victor ... when he was with the beauty.

Brad Bell needs to realize that he needs to return to his classic storytelling pre-2005. That when the show started to just repeat storylines and scripts, doing the same shit over and over again while ignoring fans what they wanted.
I can't believe he focuses on THREE people and others like Jacob Young, Adrienne Frantz or Susan Flannery have to sit home.
BTW what's that rumor - which repeats itself every year like the stories on B&B - that Susan Flannery is ready to quit and that there are already scenes shot where Stephanie gets very ill and wants Taylor AND Brooke to head the Forrester clan???

Even though I am sick of them shooting so far ahead that they can't react to fans when it comes to story. That's DAYS biggest problem.
I mean they are currently shooting their episodes for NOVEMBER!!!! Get it's going to be another hot winter in Salem with people running around like it's August ... oh wait. Never mind...

JFP, Save Us. The 'ship has sailed' on Jack and Nikki. Hopefully, JFP will take an axe to The Show, and get rid of 'dead weight' Melody Thomas Scott. She is only watchable as The Town Drunk. To see her on the phone, wondering about Victor, when she should be attending to her husband, is too much to bear.

Sharon, Town Drunk in Training, is too much, as well. She needs to get away from the Newmans, and join up with Tucker. Hopefully being Katherine's future daughter-in-law will provide much more entertainment for everybody involved, especially if ol Kay is against the pairing. Im sure that prissy Devon will be against Sharon being his step-mommy, so that might be entertaining, too.

Getting a wee-bit tired over the The Phyllis Show; and why introduce a whole new cast of newbies, if you aint gonna use em?

Just watched todays GH, Heather makes the show for me. She is so funny with her comments. Robin Mattson has brought so much back to GH.

I haven't seen B&B in a good long while but it sounds like it would make a great After-school Special Series.

I totally agree re: B&B every single word...its an asexual soap & boring as hell but not just that but predictable. Re: not writing for characters after their initial run focusing on Liam/Steffy/Hope triangle its time to move on from that ..The hit n' run storyline was really fast...

I bailed out of the Phyllis show on Y/R.

I also hope Alexis/Jerry have a storyline/scenes together...IA that at first I was NOoooo re: her w/Shawn but I like them they have chemistry. Robin storyline is the one I'm most interested in.

I think both Y&R and B&B have become The Bland and the Laid-less. Y&R seems to at least be attempting corporate SLs, but they are as messy as pretty much every business SL penned by MAB&Co in the last few years. I hope JFP can build some damned office sets, because people conducting business at Gloworm or while sweetening their coffee over at Crimson Lights is just sorry. And allegedly the citizens of GC have sex, but it's always some trite post-coital pillow talk after the fact. I swear, I saw more of the basketball court and the dashboard of a car during Abby/Carmine scenes, and that Marco Dapper guy has the hottest body on the show. I'd even take a gratuitous couch sex scene with Phick, and I hate that couple. It's summertime, where the hell is the heat on Y&R? No bueno!

Great podcast as always guys. Luke you need to share with the rest of the class where you got the crazy is calling ringtone. I've looked everywhere and can't find it.
