Victor needs to get a JOB. Does he even have one anymore? Sucks that we have writers who don't know how to write corporate storylines. This show needs Kay Alden and Jack Smith.

Oh jesus! Enough arleady with this geriatric triangle. Jack/Nikki/Victor was done YEARS ago and much better. MAB wonders why her ass got shown the door. She's the worst writer/producer soaps have ever had and that's a damn shame. Jack shouldn't get married EVER again. What's this wedding # 25? Victor and Nikki have been done to death are too freakin old to be playing back and forth.

Why is it that Victor doesn't ever want Nikki until there's another fox in the hen house and then he's like a dog in heat around her! The same holds true for her! Nikki can't stand the sight of Victor until he starts letting some other heifer polish his dentures and then Nikki's cootchie-snorcher is wet for him all over again! At this point, I just wish they'd either go their seperate ways and be done with it!

Better yet, do some REAL storytelling and have Nikki admit she suffers from a dysfunctional co-dependent relationship with 'ole Vic that she has not dealt with for the last 25+ years and then seek therapy! Ironically, Victor would FINALLY realize Nikki is the one for him AFTER she has successfully gotten help and realized she is done with Victor and his hold over her is AT LONG LAST broken! Victor would suffer in a way no amount of money or manipulation could fix and with time he would finally realize that she truly no longer loves him. In the end they would become friends for the sake of their kids, but THEY WOULD NEVER venture into the romantic waters with each other again! Or in my dream world, they could just kill Victor off!

I cannot even believe that this wedding is taking place!!! I was utterly certain that they would never make it to the altar, but it seems I am sadly mistaken! This is just horrible, especially for Jack! He is gonna get his heart broken again! Although the way he's been acting lately, he deserves it...

On a side note, Nikki does look beautiful.

Ooh, ooh, I can finish that dialogue:

Victor: Nikki, there's something that you should know-

Nikki: What, what is it Victor?

Victor: I'm...I've married Sharon again, just to piss you off.

Nikki: (tearfully) Victor, I can't do this now, I'm getting married to a perfectly good man...uh, what's his name again-

Victor: That Jackass-

Nikki: No, that's not it (snaps her fingers as if trying to recollect)

Victor/Nikki: Jack!

Nikki: Why did you have to come today, Victor, at this moment? I-I don't care what you and Sharon do (tears streaming down her cheeks), I just don't. I'm going to march out there with my head held high and I am going to float all the way to that altar where I will promptly marry Jackass, I mean Jack!

Nikki exits. Victor calls out to her.

Victor: You're going to regret not getting on your knees and begging me to take you back! Especially when I bankrupt your Jackass husband when I take over Jabot for the 50th time. You'll be begging to be my concubine, begging...you got that?!

And Scene.

Thanks for the kind words Tedew! I've been watching the show for decades and remember when Victor first laid eyes on Nikki back when she was shaking her girly parts for candy bars and spare change at the Bayou. I also remember when they had their first lavish wedding where they had just about everyone (but the voice announcer) who had ever been on the show come back for the wedding! Their story used to be romantic even with all the entaglements. Victor falling for Ashley and being torn between her and Nikki (who he believed was dying at the time) and his little girl Victoria was compelling viewing especially when they threw Victor's brother Matt into the mix.

However, over the years the endless merry-go-round of Nikki wanting Victor but he's with Sabrina or Sharon or Diane or Zapato is too much! Adding insult to injury, Victor wants Nikki when she is with Jack or Joshua or David or Paul or Larry or Curly or Moe! It has all become boring and trite, and keeps TPTB from having to tell a real story involving the two of them beyond arguing over the latest bedmate of the other! She knows he's a control freak, and he knows she will always get tired of his antics at some point and walk out the door. The problem is that it's a revolving door, and she always comes back to "wash, rinse, and repeat" the cycle over and over again year in and year out! At this point, it's best to explore their co-dependency and then go their seperate ways...at least that's my humble opinion because I'm exhausted and have wanted to slap them both silly since about five ex-spouses ago!

@ arielade: I wish I could say that it took effort to write that piece of dialogue but since we've seen these Victor/Nikki scenes play out over and over, it is basically like 'painting by numbers' to come up with this stuff.

Glad you were entertained, though. Next, somebody has to come up with some Behind The Scenes Fan-fiction, though Wink

Ken ... well do you think it's possible with the new regime at Y&R that some interesting new situations will finally develop? Again ... it is so tiring now having to continuously watch Victor snare Nikki like an alligator just to spit her out because she doesn't taste quite right. It's tiring seeing Nikki continuously falling for all of that again and again. It's tiring seeing Victor continuously seeking revenge and fighting that vendetta against Jack and all. At least Jack appears to be genuinely interested in those companies and his family.

We shall see what happens but it is high time for us to see Victor taken down by someone higher and mightier than he. Ain't it?

Or ... Tracy could recall the mortgage on Victor's ill-used heart.

I agree-Nikktor 200.0 is just so tedious. Why don't they all just do like on Big Love or Sister Wives and just have one big communal wedding and everybody shares.

Why do we have to wait for Daisy or Eden to cough up the goods on Ricky? The DA and Police already have his laptop. WHY HAVE THEY NOT FORENSICALLY UNDELETED THE VIDEO OF HIM KILLING HIS GIRLFRIEND YET????

Can anyone tell me, now that Kyle and Abby are roughly the same age, if they were to look back on Diane's murder, is Kyle now supposed to have been an adult when his mother was killed, or was Abby 12 years old when she ran over Tucker and made the confession video that Diane got her hands on?

KristalBlake-It is not good for your mental health to figiure out SORASed
timelines. It can never make sense. It's like time travel stories. The more you delve into it,the more questions arise.

Take B&B.Deacon has 2 children,Little D and Hope.Little D was with Amber when she first was with Rick,Hope was with Brooke in a later storyline. But Hope is now almost 20,and Little D is talked about as a young child.

So,accept what the writers throw at you for your own sanity(lol).

Amen to that, Marybee! Amber was in her early 20's on B&B when Sheila gave birth to a baby girl. A few years later that baby girl Erica returned to town as a young adult...who we later discoverd was really Sheila's daughter Mary that she had with James Warrick. If Mary was let's say 19 or so that would have made Amber at least 40 in real time. Later on down the road Amber was mixing it up in Genoa City when Sheila's now-grown children that she had with Tom Fisher (even though she had just met Tom like three years before) came to town seeking vengeance on Lauren. Again using real time that would mean Amber was would be pushing sixty!

In short, on B&B a 20-something Amber watched a baby be born and come back a few years later as a fully grown young woman. A number of years down the road basically the same thing happened with Amber on Y&R...so if they were using real time Amber would be around 60 years old! Which would also mean that in relation to a sixty year old Amber people like Ridge and Brooke would be in their late seventies or early eighties...and someone like Stephanie would be about 105 while Kay Chancellor would be like 120. Try not to think about it too much or you'll wind up with a migraine!

Tedew, you use the word TIRED a lot in your latest post...you sound as tired as I am with this Victor/Nikki thing! They need to stop this merry-go-round cause I'm definitely ready to get off! They also need to stop the rollercoaster thing with Sharon, because I think we have stayed too long at the fair with that one as well. Is she a strong bold new woman ready to start her new life this week, or is this the week that she's a jewelry loving klepto that can't be without a man for five minutes before she starts screwing everything but the doorknobs? And the fact that her panties drop everytime Victor shows her how good he looks in a pair of Depends makes me think that she must have some chemical imbalance that just draws her to Newman DNA....kinda like a shark smelling blood in the water! Now that Sharon's been through the father and both sons, the only thing left to do is ask them for the phone number of Vic's brother Matt Miller or get busy with her own son Noah...and, at this point, I wouldn't put even that past Maria Bell!

Thank god she is on the way out! As to your question, I'm going to take a wait and see attitude with Jill Farren Phelps! I used to watch some of the shows she ran but not at the time she was in charge. However, I have heard that she has turned out some stinkers and has also given fans some good conpelling story as well....depends on who you ask and what the storyline was!

One thing I hope JFP does is trim the cast by about a third. Sofia is an easy choice to go. Tucker was never given much to do beyond Ashley other than fight with Kay and even that seems played out now! With Ashley leaving, there's not much reason for Tucker unless they give him some good story and quick! I can name seven or eight others but won't because everyone has their favorites and whoever I name, regardless or who they are, it will get both negative and postive comments and others have already named many of them.

There are two things I think JFP does need to do upon her arrival! Since the death of John Abbott there has been no real moral center to the show. Even Kay Chancellor (who used to kinda serve that role) has been as "Whitney Houston Crazy" as the rest of them in the last few years. Mr. Abbott used to be the voice of reason when all of the other characters were wrapped up in their shenanigans...and that character type needs to make a return! I recommend bringing Traci Abbott home to serve that role. In her last few visits, she seems to be the calm in the middle of everyone elses destructive storms.

The second thing I think she should do is return Mary Williams to the canvas even if she has to be played by a different actress. (Erica Slezak is now available!) The fact that Paul has had his sister, son, and daughter all return on multiple occasions without any of them sharing even one scene with Mary is beyond ridiculous! Just the fact that Paul is in jail without even one visit (even if that visit is filled with self-righteous indignation) from his mother is horrible! It seems that Maria wouldn't write for older women unless they were comic relief like Gloria or unless they were named Kay Chancellor! I would return both Mary Williams and Traci Abbott to the canvas...and would even consider finding Paul's brother Steve Williams! He left for a newspaper job in DC never to be seen again! There HAS to be some potential stories there!

In the end, you are SPOT ON in that Traci needs to recall that heart! Victor OBVIOUSLY has no need for it!

aroundhound ... maybe I'm being crazy, but I still have a problem with Ricky being a multiple killer. We are all pretty certain that Daisy lives but the friend coming to "spill the beans" to Paul seems rather iffy and why would he have kept the recording of him killing his girlfriend. Could Paul be right in that maybe Ricky did "confess" for revenge?

KristalBlake ... the problem I have with Katherine is her undying loyalty to anything Newman. Her sainted Victor treats all the people she purported loves like cockroaches to be crushed under his feet (Nikki, Billy, John). Why does that former battle axe take it from him when (for example) he goes on one of his usual rants about Billy right in front of her ... and so forth? Abby hates her son Tucker and lets everyone know it but forgets where she'd be had he not rescued her from the hit and run incident.

Ken ... again you are completely right. Mary Williams used to flutter around endlessly nagging her kids or flogging her ribs and sauerkraut and yet she's been nowhere around during the past few years of crisis. Carolyn Conwell is now 82 and maybe has no desire to return to Y&R. It's been suggested in the past that Michael Learned should step in and that would probably be a good choice. But in the long run Paul needs a mother so hopefully she will soon reappear in some form or another.
(By the way ... the image you conjured up of Sharon getting turned on by Victor in Depends is not one I really want to think about all that much.)

Tedew... I agree with you about Victor...I just cannot see why all the womenfolk of Genoa City want to make the beast with two backs with a 71 year old man with a God Complex! Men of that age on other soaps are playing grandaddys and great-grandaddys and support the romantic storylines of their sons and grandsons while they are happily settled into romantic bliss with an elderly lady. Only on Y&R do we get to see the Cryptkeeper treated like he's still a young stud and be fawned and pawed over by every female that crosses his path! If Victor is all that charming it is completely lost on me. It's got to be that he's a gazillionnaire or he is just a damn hot lay in the sack...but my bet would be that it's the money!

Sharon chose 'ole Vic over both Adam and Nick, so it's gotta be the dough! Adam has already proven that he knows his way around the bedroom because he made Rafe's eyes roll back in his head on Adam's first try batting for the other team! Adam even got Heather to climb back in the saddle after she found out that he and Rafe had been up on Brokeback Mountain....and for a while there Sharon couldn't keep Adam's junk out of her trunk despite knowing he stole her little rugrat and, to this day, Sharon acts like she still wants to see Adam covered in whipped cream with her very own cherry on top! When it comes to Adam, apparantly homeboy's milkshake brings all the girls (and boys) to the yard. Obviously Adam knows how to lay some pipe...and he looks good in a purple dress, too! For Sharon to choose Victor over the virile Adam and the "studly but stupid" Nicholas can only mean that she wants the money or she is crazy....or quite possibly both!

Thank you Ken and marybee for your answers. I agree, trying to figure it out would be an exercise in futility. I'm just wondering what convoluted rewrite of history they've come up with if Abby and Kyle ever had a scene together in which they were discussing Diane's death, but chances are they won't even make any mention of specific details.

Also thank you tedew for your reply (as a long time visitor to this site who has just recently begun posting, I can tell you I've enjoyed reading your comments for a long time!) but I don't think it was directed at me as I didn't mention anything about Katherine, however I completely agree with what you said about her.

KristalBlake-you're welcome.IMO most writers just ignore history that doesn't fit into their current storylines.I've learned from being a sci-fi and former comic book fan,you accept the genre and its foibles.Things that don't make sense in the real world are just normal in those worlds.

You had me thinking about the age difference the other day when Kyle was talking to Eden.He was a mere preteen a year ago,and now they're having sex.Makes me laugh.

Anyway, nice to hear from you.Glad you are posting.

Tedew, I agree with you 100% on Rafe! Homeboy is FINE with a captial "PH" and why Noah isn't trying to hit that it lost on me. I guess first they'd have to show Rafe on screen more then once every three months! As for the other men of GC, most of them are pretty interchangeable and do nothing for me...

Jack & Neil....Meh!
Victor & Tucker...GOOD GOD NO!
Kyle & Noah & Devon & Kevin....Mere children!
Carmine & Nick...Pretty to look at but I'd quickly get bored!
Michael and Cane and Ronan...Could have potential but the jury's still out!

As for the hotties.............

Daniel - Not usually my type but for some reason I find him sexy, he just needs to slow down on the ink...enuff is enuff!
Adam - A delectable lollipop!

My top two....

Billy & Rafe - I'd so love to be the middle bun in a Billy/Rafe Big Mac...with an order of fries on the side! I wouldn't kick either one of those boys out of bed unless I was planning to do him on the floor!

KristalBlake ... I know I drifted away a bit, but your post mentioning Abby made me think of how annoying I find her to be. And that led into how unreasonably understanding Katherine always is of Victor.

Ken ... obviously I concur with your regard for Rafe. And Yani Gellman is even more astounding when he's not in his Rafe drag.

If they do plan to bring out a gay character I really hope it's not high haired Kyle because there's just something I don't like about him. Noah as he's getting older is improving. Kevin I've always liked and Devon has promise.

Carmine and Nick ... agreed but Carmine has the advantage.
Michael and Cane and Ronan ... nope.

Daniel ... there's just something about him that drives me quite wild.
Adam ... like I said, sometimes no and sometimes yes.

Billy is just completely not my type at all.

Ryder ... obviously no longer there; but Wilson Bethel majorly did it for me too.

Hi guys-Rafe(Yani Gellman)should go to Days as Sonny's once mentioned selfish boyfriend,if Y&R doesn't want to use him more.I could see him in a triangle with Will and Sonny. He is just too hot to be used only once in a blue moon(occuring this month).

I was just thinking today about a possible Noah/Rafe combo; I can't help but think that TPTB are still dancing around something regarding Noah and I still think it's that he's gay. Either way, Yani Gellman does need to be utilized more besides being the go-to defense attorney(that is, when Avery isn't defending the other twelve characters that need an attorney).

Speaking of hotties, I don't follow closing credits that much but I noticed on the most recent cast credits--Tuesday's or Wednesday's episode I think--that my future husband Peter Porte is still listed despite the fact that he's been offscreen for about a month now. So I guess I'm wondering if something's going on with Ricky's "death" or does he have a doppelganger running around that hasn't surfaced? Granted, doppelgangers are less than a dime a dozen on this show, but if it got Porte back on my screen then I think I could suffer through it Wink.

I read somewhere, don't knowif it was here or SOD or another site, but,it was stated that Y&R dropped their original thoughts on a gay storyline with the younger set. They now are thinking of using a recent aged recast in a gay story. This makes me think it maybe Kyle instead of Noah.Any thoughts or rumours out there?
