Having studied piano for a child for almost a decade, it took me several moments to get the Beethoven reference. To me, the name Beethoven still conjures up the the idea of the deaf composer, not the St. Bernard in the movie.

As for the trailer, it doesn't make me want to watch (unless I can get a guarantee that the storyline will payoff in an ultimate comeuppance for Phyllis) and I've heard some complain that the trailer is misleading as Victor's Tick Tock countdown is misleading as it appears to be directed toward Phyllis, but in reality it is not. Some are calling it poor editing. Sloppy editing or deliberately misleading?

I'm sorry for the optimism...I know it annoys EVERYONE, but I Just have to say. I'm LOVING this storyline I love the way everything is being handled (tho Danny and Cricket's sex romp was a little impromptu and unnecessary) but either way, I love the way the story is being told. Let's kill Daisy quickly!!!!

Luke saying that Victor's "tick tock, tick tock" is creepy is the understatement of the year! That was just downright scary!

Peter Porte gets sexier each day, and I grow to like Ricky MORE AND MORE AND MORE each day, as he gets closer to exacting revenge on the redheaded virus!

I am enjoying this story immensely, I must say. I even find myself KINDA, ALMOST, for the first time in 18 years, NOT hating Cricket.

This promo is kinda hot.

The writers are shockingly on the right track with this story but again why does everything move so damn fast? The could have easily stretched out aspects of this story over several weeks for more dramatic effect...and realism. Like the Dr. Tim character. Ricky found him online, went to his home and stole his files in 2 days. What is the hurry MAB? Is there a fire you're running from? Again, MAB and Co. have an inability to tell deep stories. Her best is what we have seen over and over again. She will never be a better scribe that. At her best she is a C writer. At her worst an F is being kind.

It's better than anything else currently going on in Genoa City but my opinion of MAB has not changed nor my desire to see her fired!

Everyone deserves to know that Phyllis was the one who ran over Christine and Paul.
But I believe that in the end it will all be about how Phyllis is the victim and tragically lost her child.

EDIT: And TPTB have to keep Ricky. Peter Porte is damn sexy and is playing bad so deliciously fantastic!!!!!

I think Peter Porte is damn fine! He and Marco Dapper are my current favorite eye canady on Y&R! I hope the character sticks around.

alstonboy4315 ... good post above. I agree with it almost entirely except for your reserved current take on Cricket; I still don't find all that much appealing about her from any angle.

These promos never really show exactly what is going on and can be very misleading. I'm certainly with you on Peter Porte though. I so very much hope Ricky can expose Phyllis and not turn out to be the demented psycho so many are pegging him to be while doing it.

RestlessFan ... I get where you are coming from, but I much prefer a quicker pace rather than all the excruciating time waste and drag outs from red herrings and obvious wrong turns, etc.

Everything about "Y & R" is misleading these days - it's just an over-bloated plot-driven mess!! I try to watch about one episode a week, and I'm barely about to ingest that day's mess - this is just more contrived, plot-heavy drivel from the uncreative minds of Maria Arena Bell and her 2 co-hacks!!

Funny how Jack is being able to feel something in his feet - bet he will be up and walking in time for their 4th of July show! Just pathetic writing all around!!

This promo is utterly ridiculous. Victor does not belong in this promo at ALL. The tick tock thing, to Jack, I might add, is totally out-of-context and from a scene that was probably aired three years ago. Y&R has done this before, putting in people and old scenes which have nothing to do with the storyline itself. Sloppy, sloppy editing. Do they really think we don't notice these things?

Been saying it for awhile now....PP is the sexiest thing going on Y&R these days(though I'm still waiting for some scenes with him and a lot fewer clothes ).

As for the actual character of Ricky.....Phyllis needs some comeuppance so while I certainly don't want her dead(which obvs isn't gonna happen as this show is called THE PHYLLIS HOUR....wait, you say it's actually called THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS? Huh....)I would like to see some more far-reaching consequences put on her than what' been done--or in her case, not done--in the past. And while I hate to see yet another nut-job character linked to Paul, at the end of the day getting to look at PP more makes it almost worth it so if Ricky is the one putting the screws to Red then so be it.

Love Peter Porte! And that curtain Phyllis is wearing deserves it's own storyline. Maybe make it a supercouple with The Cape Phyllis wore a few weeks ago

i'm really liking this storyline. i loved the pace of friday's show.. peter porte is doing a great job as the nasty ricky,, too bad he's a 'legacy' character... yes, phyllis deserves her comeuppance, but i do love michelle stafford..sad to see peter go though...

I think PP is lousy but he works in this role because he does look a tad creepy. Sadly I bet Red loses her baby and the entire show ends up feeling sorry for her.

My guess is...it's the quiet before the storm. A kind of foreshadowing where Phyllis's relationships appear to come together (Danny, Paul, Avery- no sign of animosity) before it all gets blown to smithereens by tragedy. The writers are trying to elicit sympathy by making it appear that Phyllis has reconciled her past (by diminishing just how insidious she was) and is a different person, someone who, somehow is worth our collective sympathy.

Funny thing is, most people seem not to be buying the set up. Most viewers sense a whitewash and feel manipulated. It's actually probably having the OPPOSITE effect that the writers desire. Everyone now seems to be waiting with baited breath for Phyllis to get what's coming to her.

Alberto, you can start a forum for your spoilers. That way other posters can decide whether they want to read them or not.

Why would anyone in their right mind, want to know about a spoiler? Why would anyone want to ruin a show for others, is beyond me. I never watch any previews for any show and don't know anyone that does. It is just beyond belief that anyone would do so or want to post for others to do so.
