Kassie DePaiva Checks Back Into General Hospital

Looks as though Todd (Roger Howarth) and Starr (Kristen Alderson) will be getting a visit from Blair (Kassie DePaiva) this summer. General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini announced on Twitter today DePaiva is returning to Port Charles. Valentini tweeted:
With all the drama Starr's dealing with right now, makes sense her mama pays her a visit. Meanwhile, just what will Blair think about her new buddy Carly (Laura Wright) and Todd getting chummy? No word on DePaiva's first airdate or how long she will be sticking around GH.

Here's hoping she's returning for Starr's funeral. I never thought I'd want anyone off my screen more than Sonny but Starr takes the cake.
But I'm sure Blair's return will only be to further another soap cliche plot device. Let's see, we've had the long lot serial killer twin brother no one knew about. We have DID. We're in the midst of a maybe baby switch. Haven't they run out of soap cliche yet?
I suspect we haven't seen the last of the "tale of two todds". How could this untalented regime RESIST revisiting their masterpiece? God knows they aren't afraid to recycle their trash as if it didn't stink the first time. I know. I know. Ratings skyrocketed for the tale of two todds. And 12 million people watch the Kardashians air their faux-trash.
Blair and the Q's COULD have some interesting scenes if not stories. But why go there when GH can just tell more silly dumbed down mob stories? Is she too old for Sonny to knock up? He hasn't impregnated anyone in a while...'bout time we had that story again.
