Let's hope the Phoenix does not rise from the ashes again this time. There really is nothing else that the character of Stefano can contribute to this show.
Joe Mascolo deserves a great sendoff. He has earned his retirement.

I too liked Joe on B&B it was completely different type of character for him to play and being Ridge's bio dad could see him involved in his grandchildren's lives now. He wasn't extreme character like Stefano and not a saint either...nice balance.

I read somewhere Joe M was thinking about retiring,if so B&B would be perfect for him.He probably would only be on the about once a month or less like Thorne and others.

I read in SOD that he's off the canvas but they didn't specify for how long. I doubt he's dead. He's going to go into hiding really. As for who the culprit is, I doubt it's Bo, Hope, Abe, EJ or Kate even. Hope resigned recently and her going to prison last time was an utter mess! Bo isn't either, he's too "good". From the preview in SOD, Abe brings a gun, but leaves it at the scene of the crime (Um, really? How dumb is that?!). So he will be the most obvious suspect but it's never the real culprit in the end. Kate and EJ have motive, but too easy. So in the end, my guess is Celeste. Her Alexandra is dead and Stefano indirectly poisoning his daughter will be the cause of her death. Celeste is recurring and she can disappear from the canvas while Cameron stays to "bond" with Abe and Theo. A way to conveniently keep Lexie's new brother in town while getting rid of Celeste in the process. Just my two cents...

I think the shooter will be Lexi since she's dying anyway. Somehow she finds out her father is to blame for her tumor and she goes all DeMira Lexis and shoots him before she dies....

I personally don't think, even with Mascolo supposedly retiring, that they would ever kill that character. It's a shame; he outlived his impact as the canvas villain a LONG time ago.

they just mentioned every now and then that Sally is enjoying her retirement traveling the world.

SoapArmageddon & arielade, I think Aishwarya looks fantastic...she just had a baby last November. She looks even more beautiful with those few baby pounds if you ask me...but then no one ever does.

@SoapArmageddon and Desertrose, I think she is incredibly beautiful, and I just can't believe how mean everyone is being to her. She had a baby! I had a baby in January and still haven't lost all of my weight, but it is really hard when you are breastfeeding. If I wasn't worried about my milk supply dropping I could stop eating and do a cleanse like Beyonce apparently did. At any rate, she is gorgeous and I wish people would just leave her alone. It's a great avatar pic SoapArmageddon!

Stefano should die for real this time IMO. And the show should make it as convincing as a soap opera death can possibly be, the way ATWT did with John Stenbeck when we saw Barbara stick that pin in his corpse.

Count me in as a fan of Aishwarya. I thought she would've been more prominent in American film industry as well but perhaps the issue with love scenes might be problematic for a mainstream American career? Just speculation. And I just started hearing some rumblings in the Indian press about her weight. Huh?! Utterly ridiculous. No one is critical of some of the Kapoors who've gained weight over time, yet she's being held to an impossible standard. I haven't seen her recently, but can't imagine her looking bad.
