Anne Heche’s 'Save Me' Among NBC’s New Shows

Save Me, starring Another World alum Anne Heche (Jamey Giddens’ favorite Vicky Hudson and Marley Love!), was among the new shows NBC ordered for 2012-2013. In the supernatural comedy, Heche portrays Beth, who believes she is a prophet.
After a near-death experience (choking on a hero sandwich), Beth is revived only to realize she now has a direct line to God. Of course, her husband Tom is skeptical and dismissive - and his mistress is all but hostile that her lover's wife is now a prophet! But when inexplicable things begin to happen, everyone's beliefs are tested. Beth starts to say and do things that shock her family and entrance her friends, but she isn't going to be your typical "fire and brimstone" prophet. Let's just say if God had a desperate housewife as His mouthpiece, Beth would be it! She is the absolute last person on Earth who would be chosen. Then again, they say He works in mysterious ways. And this one is a real mystery!

This sounds right up Anne Heche's alley. And glad to see somoeone making use of sexy Lamman Rucker's talents (he was sadly wasted on ATWT). Hopefully Save Me will live up to its potential.

Hopefully this will be a good vehicle for her considerable talents; despite what Jensen Buchanan brought to the roles in the show's later years, I've always been of the mind that Heche was the definitive Vicky and Marley.

@MsAgentProvocateur1: And those Tyler Perry movies and TV series too. Guess Lammon needed to those paychecks. But I ma happy to see him land on his feet quite nicely. Also, Anne "on-again off again tomorrow" Heche is an excellent choice as the series lead.

I must confess, david46308, that other than Diary of A Mad Black Woman (mostly as a fan of Kimberly Elise), I haven't watched another Tyler Perry production since. I imagine LR needed to pay those bills so I can't blame him.
I heard Tyler Perry has another Madea movie coming out with Eugene Levy and the clip I saw was funny but I'm not counting on the entire movie to be that funny. I think it's worthy of a skit on YouTube, at best.

I love AH, I only knew of Jensen as the character of Vicky which I totally loved her as Vicky until watching AW on Soapnet and got to know AH's Vicky\Marley characters and she became my favorite Vicky\Marley. By the time I had started back watching AW, Jensen wasn't playing Marley but on few occasions so Marley I wasn't impressed with the character until Anne's Marley.(I hadn't seen EW's Vicky\Marley) but Anne's Marley was by far the best Marley because she distinguished the characters. I will be definitely checking out this because Anne and the yummy of deliciousness
of Lamman Rucker (ATWT did waste his talent) I loved Marshall in the beginning.
