Young and Restless Star Eric Braeden on Upcoming Contract Talks: "If It’s as Adversarial as it Was, I Have No Interest"
It's almost that time again, folks. The Young and the Restless mega star Eric Braeden's (Victor Newman) contract with the sudser is up soon. Will his next round of renewal negotiations with Y&R co-owner Sony TV be as volatile as the last batch were? If so, Braeden says he wants know part of 'em! Here's what the ever outspoken star said to Beck/Smith Hollywood.
Braeden’s last contractual go-round, in 2009, was so difficult that for awhile, it appeared he might be ending his run with the show. He finally wound up with his current three-year deal that runs into the fall. His feelings about his future on “Y&R”? “To be honest with you, I don’t know. I don’t,” he says. “It depends on how hostile an environment the negotiations are carried out in. If it’s as adversarial as it was, I have no interest."
