MULTIPLE Daytime Emmy Winner Sarah Brown Learns She Was FIRED From Days of Our Lives on TWITTER?!

DOOL is run by a bunch of idiots. The show is a mess and sucks. It has gone on too long. Corday is an ass. Sony & NBC have let this crapfest run amok. It is not even a shadow of itself and you thought Y&R was a mess. DOOL is a sad joke.

Ken Corday is a FUCKING IDIOT, to say the least!! I feel bad for Sarah. Corday should've had the courtesy to tell her in person that she was fired instead of her finding out on twitter, of all places!!! She deserves better than that. She's one of daytime's best actresses, she's the original Carly for heaven's sake!!

Now that she's a free agent, GH should get her back as Carly. Fire Laura Wright, who I've never liked in the role of Carly, and let Sarah Brown take over Carly with gusto!!!!

How is Sarah Brown a "star" when she's given role after role and never raises the ratings of any show she's on? Nonetheless, it's sad that she found out this way.

I think that is an excellent idea! Maybe then Billy Miller would stick around!! Sarah and Billy could be fantabulous together and Sarah would really sound convincing when she went up against Victor Newman...bring it on!

Love Sarah, but Laura Wright IS Carly now. I don't want anyone else in that role.

All contract players should be told in person of a firing since the show has to physically release them which takes writing up paper work. Now with recuring there is none of that but seriously how hard is it to call them o the office and tell em face to face. Have Balls and do it right. Shows also need to stop telling peeople after they filmed their last scenes. Not saying that Days has done that here but other shows have recently and that shows no class.

I feel bad for anyone that finds out they're fired on Twitter. But I think that makes 3 firings in 3 years right (GH, B&B, Days)? Plus a very unpopular stint on ATWT and maybe more that I'm forgetting as well as getting fired from Cold Case while causing a big ruckus. I loved Sarah as Carly back in the day, but I think it's safe to say she hasn't connected with audiences for any role in over 10 years now. She deserved her Emmys as Carly but I haven't seen any awardworthy acting since then honestly. There was also a big blowup when she left GH in 2001 too. At this point I just hope she doesn't end up on Y&R since that's the only one left that she hasn't been on yet, and they have way too many people as is plus I'm sure based on the past few experiences I won't like her.

Days needs to be careful. Very careful. If they get rid of the Will storyline when the new writer takes over it will slit it's own throat! The Will Umbrella storyline is the only one on the show worth watching and the one at the moment that ties the whole canvas together. I am just hoping that we see some interaction with Carrie before she leaves if she is truly going.

Regarding the comings and goings I would keep Sarah Brown over Hope any day! Hope is so boring! Madison at the least has some class! Regarding her move over to GH IDK if I want her back as the canvas is already top heavy. SB is awesome and while it would scream a tribute to OLTL with a never knew about TWIN angle (hello Natalie!) I feel that the use of money could be to bring on a real love interest for Michael or to bring back more vets like Laura, Lucy, Kevin, Bobbie, Alan, Emily, Nik, Jax, or AJ!

My dream would be Chandler Massey in the role of Will coming over to GH to be a love interest for Michael! Can you imagine a Will/Sonny(Days Version of course)/Michael Triangle! That would be so HOT!

Well heather Tom and Sarah Michelle gellar started out in the 90s and while I like Sarah, I wouldn't rank her ahead of these ladies. Plus heather has actually been on 3 diff soaps playing successful characters. I think her Carly was iconic but it was also a situation where both actress, role, and writing worked. I don't think this role fit her but I also think the writing was very weak and she's not really an actor that can overcome poor writing.

Regardless Emmys or not, learning you were fired on twitter sucks. But this genre has a history if treating actors like crap. Didn't Jill phelps fire some actors by fax? Well we all know Corday is an idiot so no surprise.

Sarah Brown is pretty big by most soap standards. Agree w/alstonboy as usual. Sarah can't be a recast Diane Jenkins, it was bad enough to see Maura in the role, as the character should be close to 50 if not older!

What we're seeing now on Days -- 4 months behind -- the writing was on the wall for Brown and Ashford, as they're plainly not being written for and were MIA the past weeks if not months, esp. Ashford. What happened to Jack teaching at the university? Where is this university? I'd say w/new writers coming in that Lexie's new brother will be history too, unless he catches on at record speed! Someone made a good point that Rafe sorta drags down every female character he's with. They should've kept Ashford and Brown and written off the Hernandez siblings. I never believed that Rafe, Austin, Daniel and Brady would all be on at the same time as they sorta fill the same role to an extent.

As someone else mentioned, it's just the worst to know we'll be watching the entire summer knowing things will change course shortly after. What a bunch of crap. But in today's lightning speed social media universe, they couldn't have kept this quiet for 4 months anyway.

PUHLEASE, Sarah Brown could eat Heather Tom for breakfast acting-wise. Tom was whiny as Victoria,i never found her interesting, and imo the legendary block voting at Y & R got her all those Emmys. Same goes for Sarah Michelle Gellar. I think Brown did a great job with what she was given on Days.

This is not true regarding GH. Sarah Brown was not fired from GH, she chose to leave because she was unhappy with the corner Claudia had been written to. It was her decision and her decision only and Guza himself said that they had to rewrite many storylines because of SJB's decision. There was even a nasty comment of TG at the time saying that actors should be ready to act whatever is given to them and should not ask anything about anything to the writers (considering that it is coming from someone who always gets whatever he wants from TPTB, that made me laugh... We all know why Ethan was made a Spencer and not a SCorpio!).

I would love for SJB to come back to GH. As LW is Carly now and considering I don't want to see Johnny kissing SJB's Carly because I would have the feeling to see incest, I say let's bring back Claudia and let's have her tell everyone that Johnny is a love child that she had with a young Cassadine or a young Ned and that she prentended to have slept with Gino to please Anthony and hide her pregnancy but never did in fact. And send all the Falconeri women out of Port Charles for good. SJB is worth more to me than any LLC and KS... Nothing against LLC and KS (I just vomit their characters) but they truly don't play in the same category as SJB to me. Only my humble opinion...

Sarah was fired from GH. She admitted that in an interview with Michael Fairman. But the show was flexible enough to allow her to leave for her B&B role on her time.

I like Sarah and I adored her Carly but I haven't enjoyed one character she's played since then. She may be a great actress but unlike heather for example, she seems to struggle with connecting with the audience. It's why I said she needs very strong writing which she had her first run on GH but not since. Some actors like Heather who might be lessor actors don't seem to struggle with making that connection.

Eiden also found out on Twitter she was fired; IMO its spiteful & so terribly unnecessary just tell the people they've been canned via letter or whatever (in person) hell even an email...but on a social network?....I think many soap powers (for the most part) seem to have little to no respect for actors...but come on now...that's just low down. In the dying days of daytime soaps its musical chairs & they're being extremely disrespectful to these actors across the board "on all soaps".

ABC issue falsehoods in press releases e.g. saying actors quit when they fired them fabricating up all kinds of lies to their actors & fans to make them look good.

I think she would kick butt as Victoria Newman...she's a good actress as for comparing her with Heather Tom who is decent.

Jphelps Im sorry but that is wrong. If she said that in the interview Im just flabbergasted because I went to her fan club event that year - well before she left - and she flat out said she was tired of playing a one note villain. She asked us why we loved Claudia and she said she was struggling with the character because she couldnt see the redeeming qualities in her the way she did with the character of Claudia.

As for her leaving b and b - I started watching that show BECAUSE she went there and I knew she wasnt going to be long for the show from jump. That show is tailored around brooke and ridge and if you arent a logan, a forrester, or a spencer you are pretty much doomed. They didnt JUST fire her, the also dumped the characters of bridget, nick, jackie and owen not long after. I dont know why oliver is still there because he never has screen time. Had she been in scenes with say don diamont I think she would have been fired but she was trapped on the side of the canvas that the writers were completely disinterested in.

I agree with Iowa, sarah is better than heather tom and sarah michelle geller - well lets look at her career - she fought with susan lucci, she got a lucky break with buffy, she was blah in those I know what you did last summer movies and then she mostly had nothing for years til ringer which is again flopping. Now let me say I LOVED SMG as kendall and I think shes a great actress but much like sarah, she has had a series of roles that did nothing to showcase her talents.

I would also argue - having tuned in to days for SJB again - I knew there too that it wasnt working because madison was an ill conceived character. She was good in the part, but the part itself didnt work and since I was bored by almost everything else the were dishing up post reboot, I didnt stick around to see if they could sort out their vision for sarahs character. I would ditto that for tamara braun - wonderful actress (imho on par with braun) but went to days and was let go twice because tptb didnt know what to do with her.

Maditha Ive said a number of times I want johnny to be a love child for claudia and a cassadine. BBa is a real find for GH but I fear hes not long for the canvas if they dont tie him to something other than the Zs. I think johnny as cousin to sam and nik would be good. Given johnnys and sams mutual commitment to family (johnny forgiving claudia, sam going on the run for danny etc.) making them cousins would be great angst with sam and jason and it helps to rebuild the cassadines. I even through out the idea of them doing a whole lisbeth salander crawl from the grave story for how claudia survived.

alstonboy -- I'm thinking Sabyn Gabet was a great find in the 90s, too. Too bad she wanted to get out of the industry completely.

I am getting pissed with Days, and it's the only soap I watch. With the way things are now I might not watch anymore until it's cancelled. And it's the only soap I watch, so it might be down to none.

I feel so bad for Sarah Brown, and any of the other actors that found out online instead of from the bosses.

I'm pissed that Carrie, jack and Madison will be gone. Carrie's always been my favorite, and Madison I really like with Brady. She has a lot of potential on the show!

jphelps, her contract was up in January when she made the decision mid September to exit because they couldn't find any agreement and so her contract would not be extended past January 2010. Guza himself said AFTER the Michael Fairman interview that he would have loved to reach an agreement about his and SJB's version of Claudia and keep her on screen longer than 01/2010. Which then brought the TG comment in SOD in February 2010...

EET, happy to see that we have the same kind of ideas. I would love to see Claudia do a "Lisbeth Salander" (the Noomi Rapace style not the copycat Rooney Mara style).
However I have learned to get used to Johnny being announced as written off every 5 minutes and I find it already amazing that Johnny, having no ties to anyone and being Sonny "worst enemy" has already lasted almost 5 years. I guess it means that TPTB knows how popular BB is and that writing him off would be a BIG mistake. I have read many times on many boards that a lot of people would gave up GH if they kill off Johnny. And I can tell you I would too.
They have totally ruined my favorite female character Lulu by pairing her with that Mega Douche Dante. If they get rid of my favorite male character, this time, after more than 20 years, I am DONE.
