This is so wrong. I dont understand why they cant pick up the phone and inform someone they are fired before publishing the news. If you dont want to do it personally get someone from HR to make the call.

Now do we know for a fact that NBC release the details of who was fired?????

TRASHY! This medium continues to amaze me in the most horrific ways. I remember listening to a podcast when Catherine Hickland (Lindsay, OLTL) said she found out she was fired from a damn magazine. I can't even with this shit anymore. No doubt the others found or are FINDING out via social media as well. I feel so bad for Sarah!!

There are no words to the level of tackiness this is.. . I like Madison I didn't care for the long lost husband showing up but she worked for me. Its more of these soaps hiring these actors & not knowing what to do with them after their initial run...with only four soaps left they are hiring & firing & rehiring....its so sad this soap scramble.

Stay classy NBC/Days organization and Sony!. I know Television is known for doing this sort of thing but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I've never even been a Days watcher!

I love Sarah Brown. She put Carly Corinthos on the map and she's a powerhouse soap actress as far as I'm concerned. I hope she lands on her feet. If there was a legitimate way to bring her back to GH I would love it. As it is, there are a lot of people I would let go on Days before her. Wow. Unbelievable.

I like Sarah Brown and with as many years she has had in the soap business she so deserves better treatment than this, if this is true. I hope she can find something else.

Not surprising. This "new" Days is just unwatchable and a big disappointment considering the hype around the re-launch. I really do hate it and miss OLTL more than ever.

I think so, whatever the case, how classless to find out via Twitter, sounds like it was leaked before NBC could release the statement.

Actually, yeah it would. It's called seniority and respect for one of the genre's legends. If this was some $1,000 an episode newbie, it would still be in poor taste, but I don't think it's hard to grasp the fact that it is all shades of wrong for one of the biggest stars currently working in the genre, to find out she was out of a job on a social networking site.

It's never pleasant to hear about anyone losing their job especially their multitudes of fans. But when you become an Emmy winner, it should afford you a certain amount of respect...the very least they could have done was given her a heads up before she was ostentatiously humiliated via Twitter.

The new leaf Days is turning over isn't off to a very good start...

I've been a fan of Sarah Brown's since she first showed up on GH, but I don't see her as a legend in the genre (not since about 2001 - the last time she had a popular role), and she had only been on the show less than a year.

I would say it's wrong to fire any actor on Twitter, Emmy winner or not. I'm sure there wasn't a deliberate implication that it would be OK if she weren't an Emmy winner, but I thought the headline came across that way.

Sarah Brown earned that Emmy when it was still an actual competition. She's an excellent actress. Like most of our favorites she's gotten the short end of the stick over the last decade as far as writing/characters go but it doesn't take away from her ability.

Bottom line. Awesome actress. Doesn't deserve to get treated like a lackey.

Sarah Brown is a legend in my opinion. I don't believe you have to have 20+ years of acting tenure to be considered a legend. She was, arguably, the biggest and most dynamic female find under 25 of the 1990s in all of daytime. If there was another actress under 25 in the late 90s who could hold a candle to her, I must have missed the memo!

But by the same token, whether she had 0 Emmys on her mantle or 3, she deserved more consideration than what she was given. She is defending Corday on Twitter, but I do believe he deserves to take the lion's share of the blame for not being upfront about what was going on. But that doesn't surprise me.......Ken has always had a "cowardly" vibe around him. He seems to cower behind his legacy and his authority, flip-flops and when things go wrong, he often runs and hides.

I would LOVE to see Y&R hire her as a Victoria Newman recast, so that HOPEFULLY, I could begin to care about this character again, which is something that I honestly can't say I have done since Heather Tom vacated the role. But that seems unlikely. I say GH needs to bring Claudia back from the dead. Sarah was great in the role and she was one of the last really interesting and captivating female villainesses that GH has had. Sarah is too talented to be unemployed, so I say bring her back.......

I don't think Y&R wants Victoria to be strong. I don't see any strong women on Y&R.

I don't see a role for Sarah in daytime at this point. The closest I would say is B&B brings her back and just pretends Aggie ever happened. Would anyone care? They could make her Caroline's biological mother, or maybe a Kristen Forrester recast.

I didn't see any of Sarah's work on GH and I had such an intense dislike of her Julia on ATWT that it was hard for me to separate the actress from the character. However, I've seen some clips in the past couple of years that have just blown me away. Days (for the umpteenth time) has not utilized her properly.

This woman should be in primetime at the very least. How do you disrespect someone of this caliber?

She was in primetime, but it didn't end very well (there was some issue with Cold Case that I can't remember).

WOuld love for her to come back to GH as Carly or even claudia (at least then I might get my lisbeth salander crawling out of the grave storyline)

if she does go back to GH, then the ONLY acceptable storyline is her as Carly's fraternal twin sister that Bobbie had no idea about.
