General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Kudos to Jason Thompson and Finola Hughes for some fantastic work.

Patrick tries to explain to Anna what happened, how the doors were locked and he couldn’t get in.  Anna asks if Robin is hurt. She is devastated when she learns the truth.  Anna wonders why Robin went back into the lab after saving Patrick. He says Robin went back to get Jason’s medicine and that Robin died to save that son of a bitch.  Patrick cries and says he’s sorry he couldn’t save her.

Anna says she needs to see Robin and to hold her, otherwise she won’t believe it.  Patrick says she was burned beyond recognition.  He feels he needs to see Emma and to hold her.  He can’t believe this is actually happening.  Anna tells him to go and be with Emma, because she needs to make calls to Mac and to Robert.

Dante takes Sonny to the hospital. He wonders if his father is going after Anthony. Dante feels badly that Sonny took a bullet for him, despite his contempt for Sonny.  Sonny doesn’t care if Dante hates him, he’ll do everything to protect his son.  Dante now understands this.  Dante thanks Sonny for saving his life and calls him dad.

Sonny apologizes for throwing the benefit, even though Dante didn’t want it.  Dante feels he could have been more gracious.  Sonny says he doesn’t want to disappoint his son. Dante tells him not to go after Anthony.  Sonny says he can’t ignore the man that nearly killed his son.

Carly points out to Johnny that Sonny is protective of his kids and will likely go after Anthony.  Is that really what Johnny wants?  Carly understands Johnny’s love/hate relationship with Anthony. She had a similar one with her mother.  Johnny says her mother and Anthony aren’t the same person.  He claims he doesn’t want to be a part of Anthony’s life.

Carly points out that Johnny could have given up Anthony a long time ago, but didn’t. She says he still thinks of Anthony as his father. He doesn’t want Anthony dead.  Johnny says he’ll admit to that, if she admits she’s still in love with Sonny.  Carly says they’ll always be connected through the kids.

Olivia finds Kate in the parking garage.  Olivia says she was worried, since Kate seemed to be lost inside herself. Kate says she’s worried about Sonny. Dante calls and says Sonny is fine and at the hospital.  Olivia offers to drive a distracted Kate.

Sam tells Jason that the fire was contained and there’s no need to evacuate.  Jason asks where the explosion happened. Sam tells him it was the lab. Jason asks about Robin, then gets a headache.  Sam lies and says Robin is fine. She says Robin wasn’t in the lab when it blew up.

Jason wonders if the drug was destroyed, but Sam doesn’t know.  He wants to go find Robin, but Sam says he shouldn’t.  He asks Sam to go get Robin and bring her to him, so he can ask if he can go home and thank her.

Alexis can’t believe Molly had a party and trashed the house. She feels she needs to continue to monitor her.  TJ speaks up and says Alexis is messing up Molly’s life.  Alexis tells him to shut his mouth.  Molly says she wanted to be cool for once and then heads off to her room.  Michael tells Alexis to go easy on Molly. However, Alexis tells him he has his own parent to worry about.  Mac tells Michael that Sonny was shot.   Mac gets the call from Dante saying Sonny’s at the hospital. Michael decides to head over there, after telling Molly to call him no matter what she needs.

Shawn shows up to pick up TJ. He can’t believe Molly would throw a party and let it get out of hand.  Mac tells Molly that Alexis would have been responsible if one of the drunken kids had hurt someone.  Alexis says Molly is grounded. TJ asks why. Alexis points out that this is what good parents do.  Shawn is surprised Molly would do this. TJ speaks up and admits it was his idea and not Molly’s.

TJ says he wanted Molly to have friends and that he’s sorry for what happened.  Shawn drags TJ off. Alexis tells Molly that she can’t be friends with him anymore.

Sonny is stitched up.  Dante jokes that he either needs a bullet proof vest or a new career.  Dante says he’s had some close calls lately and to leave Anthony alone.  Kate arrives and cries over Sonny.  Olivia asks Dante where he found Sonny. Dante explains what happened at Johnny’s.

Sonny tells Kate that Johnny wasn’t the shooter. It was likely Anthony and he was aiming for Dante.  Kate is shocked that Sonny jumped in front of the bullet that it almost got him killed.  Kate tells him to let the police deal with Anthony. However, Sonny says they can’t do what he can.  Kate says if he goes after Anthony, then it’s over between them.

Dante tells Olivia that Sonny saved his life, but that he doesn’t know how to feel.  Olivia says his father loves him and this proved it.

Johnny is suspicious of why Carly is with him. She says she was worried about him.  He asks her who she wants and asks about Shawn.  Carly says Shawn was a good guy, but that’s it.  She says she’s with Johnny because she owes him. Johnny says he knows guilt when he sees it and wonders what she feels guilty about.  Carly says she feels responsible for what Sonny does.  Carly tells Johnny to call Anthony and warn him that Sonny is coming after him.  Shawn shows up to see Carly.

Maxie gets home, babbling to Spinelli about the benefit and leaving a drunken Matt in a room there. Then she notices he’s not responding to her.  Spin mentions that he might lose a dear friend. Maxie realizes he’s worried about Jason. She assures him that Robin is working on the cure. She mentions seeing Robin in the lab earlier.  Spin says Jason is his friend, mentor and changed his life.  Maxie offers to go to the hospital with him and speak with Robin, but remembers she has to get back to a drunken Matt at the hotel.

Sam runs into Monica, who knows what happened to Robin.  Sam says she couldn’t tell Jason the truth for fear it would kill him.  Monica says the drug wasn’t finished before Robin died.  Sam says she doesn’t know what to do now. If she tells Jason its okay to go home that he’ll know something is up.  Monica offers to sit with Jason while Sam clears her head.

Anna leaves an urgent message for Robert to call her back.  Mac shows up for Sonny, but spots Anna. He is thrilled to see her and hugs her.

Sam runs into Patrick, who has taken the vial out of his pocket.  She asks if it’s Jason’s medicine, if it’s ready and will it save Jason’s life.

I know I don't post on here, much, but I was so disgusted as to how Robin was written off the show. Since she's such a legendary character, I was hoping that she would get the same touching sendoff that her past boyfriend, Stone, was given years ago (that was a major tear jerker). Instead, we got some shitty sendoff (*explosion*.. she's dead), where she's burnt beyond recognition. This all happened so fast, and was such a cliche, that I wasn't anywhere NEAR as emotionally involved as I was when Stone passed away, years ago. Jason Thompson and Finola Hughes gave excellent performances, but Robin's sendoff doesn't even compare to Stone's departure. Even now, watching YouTube videos of Stone's passing is still heartbreaking, after all these years. I just wish that Robin had been given the same excellent storyline. Sorry, but it just felt too rushed to me. Kimberly deserved MUCH better than this crap. Here's a clip from YouTube of Stone's death... the way Robin's passing should've been. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYcuq9y0Zfk

I was disgusted by the way Sam acted in this scene with Patrick. Of course I get she's concerned for her Jason and everything, but she knows Robin actually died and can't give Patrick even a minute of her sympathy??? What's up with that? The poor man just lost his wife and she's acting like a total bitch! -.-

What I didn't like about Robin's exit is that it wasn't build up to something big. The hospital stuff is acting all normal. A lab just exploded but everything is going as usual??? No questions asked? I was just waiting for Liz, Epiphany and Matt to be there ... ask questions, show their reactions. At the end of the episode, Patrick and Anna are the only ones mourning Robin, while Monica and Sam don't want Jason to find out. That's lazy. And Robin deserved better as to go out that quiet...

Enjoyed the Carly and Johnny scenes. I honestly have to say these two are growing on me. Not interested in seeing Shawn though...!

Just waiting until Garin Wolf's stuff is nothing but hopefully a bad memory. And I guess that still will take time.

Cannot believe Carly actually uttered Bobbie's name today! Does anyone ever mention where the hell she is??? Yesterday was the first time I've watched in eons. Patiently waiting for Ron's scripts to hit the air.

I don't understand the rush either. The hospital is going about it's business as though the explosion never happened, or as though no one knows about it. And the only hospital personel there is Patrick. Monica apparently is told off screen and we haven't seen Epiphany's reaction.

I think it was wrong to have Robin's death the same day as the benefit because it meant too many of the same people were being used. The hospital staff (Liz, Matt, Steve) were not available for Robin's story because they were being used for the benefit.

I also think police as well as fire should have been dispatched to the hospital, including Mac, sooner than he currently is.

They really did Sam a diservice by having her ask about the drugs coming so close on the heels of Robin's death. It's worst than having Carly ask Jason for Jake's kidneys.

I hate the sudden lovefest between Dante and Sonny. His "thank you for saving my life" is ridiculous, considering his life was in danger only becuase of who his father is.

I'm tired of Kate's over acting, but I did like that she finally took a stand, saying she'd break up with him if he went after Anthony.

Was I supposed to understand that Matt got drunk with Liz then somehow found himself back with Maxie, who took him to a room and left him there, with the intent of going back to be with him, while he's drunk? Whatever. I didnt' even realize that Maxie stuck around at the benefit. I thought she had taken off after getting Liz' smackdown.

This was the second time that Sam sees that Patrick is devastated and grieving over the loss of Robin (the first time being right after the explosion while he's crying against the wall). B*tch can't even summons up an "I'm sorry about Robin" before asking about Jason's medication? WTF? She is such a selfish b*tch. It reminds me of Jason asking for Jake's organs before Liz even had a moment to grasp that her son wasn't going to make it.

Now we are going to have to listen to Sam and Monica telling Patrick that Robin would want him to put aside his grief in order to save Jason's life. Who cares that his wonderful, brilliant, courageous wife just died...the murdering mobster must live. Yuck. I know that Robin would want a doctor to help Jason, but Patrick shouldn't be the one. Robin would not want him operating on someone while he is so messed up. She was the one always cautioning him about taking on surgeries when another doctor could and should do them.

I like Johnny and Carly, but I also don't like them. I want Johnny with someone his own age, or at least close to it. I wouldn't mind seeing him with Maxie or Liz. I tried to come up with more females to pair him with, but Guza killed off all the young ladies in his age group. Sam could fit with him, but she's stapled to Jason's butt right now.

Perkie... Monica was told off screen about Robin's death, yet the COS didn't implement a lock down? She wasn't worried about the hospital? Making sure proper procedures are in place? There was an explosion after all, and Monica went straight to see Jason? Yes..that is her son and he comes first. But GH didn't even come second! It was a non-mf'ing factor!

I am tired of Kate too. But I don't give her props for putting her foot down with Anthony? She was pushing that because she doesn't want Sonny risking his life for his children. SHE wants to be the number one in his life, not his children.

As far as Sonny getting shot, I think Kate did it, so I don't blame Sonny's mob job for Dante's shooting. I blame the new DID Kate.

Maxie's story about a drunk Matt made absolutely no sense.

I totally forgot about this, but WTH was that? She was shocked (SHOCKED)that he would jump in front of a bullet to save his child. Now, I despise Sonny with the heat of a thousand suns, and I hate the developing Sante relationship, but I commend him for saving Dante in the moment and Kate's all, "you could have been killed" in a "how dare you save your child" tone of voice.

Made me think even more that she's the shooter and was aiming for Dante, because Sonny's kids mean more to him that she does (in a Sonny way, not a normal way!!)

The irony is that Carly always felt that Sonny chose Kate over Michael when Michael was shot in the warehouse.

Well, that just makes things worst, because that means the writers are telling us once again that mob stuff doesn't kill. "See, it wasn't a mob guy, but a crazy woman with girl parts that did it". Almost like, Jake would have been better off with JAson because the mob didn't kill, dear old drunk grandpa did.

@Perkie: The other irony is that Dante is Kate's NEPHEW! I hope she aimed for Sonny and meant it.

TJ acted all out of pocket with Alexis in her own house. She should have threw him out but at least he stepped up and took responsibility.

Sam not offering her condolences to an obviously distraught Patrick, makes her look awful. One sentence would have made a difference, "Patrick, I'm so sorry about Robin." Instead, she looked like a vulture zoning in on it's prey. Her lack of compassion and complete focus on Jason, is what makes me dislike the character. I'd rather she'd risk the life of her unborn child for Jason without batting an eyelash. Oh wait, in her Jason-filled daze, she did walk through a toxic-filled corridor without a second thought of the child she's carrying. Firefighters had on oxygen masks for goodness sake! Ugh.

I haven't watched a full episode of GH in awhile.I read Perkie's recaps and spot checked the show(the only scences whcih I stayed and watched were scrubs).I didn't think I wanted to watch Robin die,but curiosity got the better of me this week and I tuned into GH.It seems I didn't have to worry. The only scences that even brought a few tears were Patrick and Anna. What a lousy way to send off Robin. And the last scence of Sam and Patrick left me appalled.

There is nothing in the new promos that excite me.Sorry,Sonny is the main focus again.I miss my OLTL,but it is OLTL that I miss ,not a few characters transported to GH.Frank and Ron may be able to change GH's downfall, but I don't know if I have the will or time to stay tuned.

I'm not understanding the fury over how Robins end was written. An opening has been created for Kimberly to return down the road, whereas under Wolf/Guza, she was going to die of complications of her HIV status and be completely removed from the show. In the past, the writers said F.U. to the fans of legacy characters, now, they simply move them off the canvas "just in case" and people are still having a fried fanny over it.

With all the spoilers out there, we know that Robins "death" is not really a death, but part of a bigger story to come. Personally, I'm fine with the way RC changed up Kimberly's departure, because he left the door open for her return, just not the door we needed in order for her not to appear like a crispy marshmallow! When GH comes to a close and Kimberly comes back for the shows farewell, we'll thank RC for what his change in her departure was to be.

I am not thrilled with how the story is playing out at the moment, but because there is so damn much to fix, I cant be overly critical. Anna and Patrick have been great, the rest of whats going on around them is the real tragedy because its a god awful mess that was left behind by the former regime!

This episode made me see why people despise Sam. I'm waiting for her supporters/Liz haters to come on here and say oh Sam was written OOC blah blah blah it seems that everytime Sam does something disgusting I.e the whole Jakenapping/hiring gunmen thing, her behaviour is excused because she's being written OOC. Sam was a selfish, heartless, unsympathetic witch with a B in this episode.

I really hope Robins death doesn't become all about Jason, I hope Jason gets his b*lls back and is upset with Sam and Monica for hiding the fact that the woman who came back from France all those years back to save his life and literally had hers presumably ended to save his had died. Jason used to be my favorite character but now if Patrick decides to lie to Sam and tell her the protocol isn't finished or dumps it down the drain, I wouldn't blame him. Just like the Sam fans justify her behaviour as OOC or having a "breakdown" (...a breakdown over a serial killer of all things) is how I will justify Patricks actions. I hope Sam fans won't come on here and attack Liz for some discretion and can admit without any excuses that she was wrong and selfish and just a b*tch to Patrick.

This whole Kate thing is annoying, I didn't mind the actress but she is just way OTT, to the point where you just want to laugh at her. Kate needs to be checked into Shadybrooke like yesterday. As most of us are speculating that she has BPD or DID, and she or her alter shot Sonny, it would be really interesting to see this playout between her Sonny and Olivia.

I too am glad that Robin died in an explosion where they didn't show her body so she could possibly return, instead of having her die of AIDS in a depressing storyline leaving no opening for a return. But I'm not glad at ppl's reactions to her death. Only Patrick and Anna seem to care.

Sam and Monica don't look upset about her death at all. They're more upset that she died without finishing Jason's formula than the fact that she DIED!!! WTF? Do they not have a heart? And to ask Patrick if that's Jason's formula without even offering condolences is a new low for Sam. A simple "I'm so sorry" would have been fine. I get that she's worried about Jason dying, but Robin just died. How can you not offer any sympathetic words at least? I don't know why they had to write it that Sam knew Robin died. She would have looked much better if she didn't know Robin died and went up to Patrick about the formula clueless about Robin. That wouldn't have made her look super selfish like this does. I wouldn't blame Patrick if he flipped out on Sam and threw the formula against a wall and let Jason die. But ofcourse he won't b/c then Robin would have died for nothing. I bet he'll do the honorable thing and save Jason's life b/c that's what Robin would have wanted. I hate how Robin had to die for Jason. I hate how the criminals get what they want and the good citizens suffer for it. I would have rather had Robin die saving Emma's life.

Also, I agree that her death should not have been the same day as the benefit. Her death would have been so much more moving with Liz, Matt, Maxie, Mac, and all her friends and family at the hospital mourning her death when it happened. Emily's death was done very well b/c you saw all her friends grieving for her. Robin deserved the same. I just hope we'll see it soon when Mac, Liz, Matt, and Maxie find out. It'd be a shame if they didnt' show their reactions. And I can't believe this isn't a bigger deal at the hospital. The staff should be mourning her death, not going about their business like nothing happened.

I'm starting to believe more and more that Kate shot Sonny. Even at the benefit she seemed upset and said that Sonny cares more for his children than anyone else. And now with her reaction to Sonny taking a bullet for Dante, I could see her going crazy of jealousy, blacking out, and trying to kill Sonny's kids so she's first in his life.

I am a major JaSam and Sam fan, and I hated that the first words out of her mouth when she saw Patrick holding the vial was " is that Jason's medicine"? As it has been pointed out, she was standing in the hallway when Patrick found out Robin had died in the explosion, she should have gone to him then, but if not then, she definately should have had some words of condolence before she pounced on him about the drug protocol. It was just in very bad taste even if she is terrified that Jason will die. It's not as though he had mere moments to live.

Patrick and Anna brought it today. I like the way Patrick couldn't bring himself to say the words, as though if he did, he might choke on the words. My only complaint about this scene, and it was minor.....I was waiting for the two of them to hug or something, it just seemed a little bit sterile to me.

Okay we need to get this Kate story to get moving. I am over the OTT so called acting and get the real story onscreen.

TJ is unnecessary. The story does not make sense. Molly is unpopular, so you invite a bunch of kids neither of you know to a party at someone's house??? Really?.....Where is this kids mother?, can he please e a long lost Ward or something? If not, can we pack him and Shawn up and send them away? The only thing I like about Shawn is that he kept Carly distracted, Johnny is doing that so we no longer need Shawn.

Today should be good, Mac will find out about Robin and hopefully ditsy Maxie will as well. I am fairly sure Spinelli will be more sympathetic than Maxie was.

I will be glad when the turnaround begins.

The problem for me is that Robin's "death" should have been about Robin and no one else. Her friends, family, co-workers should have been properly horrified and grief stricken. Instead, they're scattered to the winds, and involved in a different story and it will become ALL ABOUT Jason, AGAIN.

If Robin had to "die" (and I don't think she needed to for Kim to leave the show), then why not have her die in a plane crash on her way to or from Africa on an Aids mission. Her body is never found or burned beyond recognition and the town mourns but the possibility of a return is there.

Of course, that story would have nothing to do with Sonny, Jason, Carly, Michael or Sam so we can't have that.

I can get over Robin's and Jason's storylines being intertwined considering their history together. I can't get over Sam and her new cheerleader, Monica. I wanted Patrick to backhand Sam, and I do not believe in men hitting women. I do, however, believe in fighting words, and stupid Sam uttered them. Every time I try to like that character, she does something else to make me want to gag.

I haven't posted in a while but as a Sam fan I feel like defending her...To me it seemed like when she first saw Patrick grieving she didn't know what to do so she didn't comfort him, that's totally understandable IMO...however when she saw him again I think it was her intention to offer condolences until she saw the vial which she assumed had been destroyed...While it wasn't in the best taste I don't think she was being a "bitch" or "disgusting"...I don't know how she was supposed to ignore the vial saying 'Jason Morgan' in his hand.....

I also really don't think it's worse than asking a mother for her son's kidneys before he even dies...but I understood why that happened as well...

Anyway I readily admit that I'm biased.....I remember hating Lulu for years when she asked Carly to protect Johnny right after Michael had been shot....the difference is I don't think Sam intended to ask abut Jason until she saw the vial...

it'll probably be worse today though..lol...

LOVING GH AGAIN!!!

@perkie - i don't know where it is written that Robin had to die. The actress was leaving and for her to have an open return and keep Patrick on the canvas, they could have given her the Monica treatment. How many conferences did Monica go to? How many times was her name paged at the hospital yet you never saw her face? They could have done the same thing with Robin. They would still be able to show Patrick at work and his building friendships with Carly and his relationship with Matt.

TIIC spent so many years keeping Jason away from his old loves (Robin, Liz and even Courtney) that it ticks a lot of people off seeing him featured in a Robin centric story.

Hearing Dante call Sonny "dad" made me gag. I'm thinking that the shooter was whoever the stripper stalker is, targeting Dante because he's getting too close to finding out who he is (probably either Ronnie or Delores' husband). Where would Kate have gotten a gun?

I don't often agree with Carly, but her first advice to Sean about what to do with TJ was right on the money - ship his ass off to military school. Too bad he's only 14, or I'd say skip the school part and send him directly to boot camp without passing go or collecting $200. I also think that "Desdemona" page that TJ created for her is going to come back and bite her in the butt down the line, especially since she's joining groups with people she doesn't know.

Really good episode! Bravo to JT and FH!!! JT has been brilliant all week!!!

I think the reason everyone on here is bitching that no one at the hospital is upset that Robin died is because the news hasn't gotten out yet. Monica said she just found out and as chief of staff she would be the first person that was notifyed. Which means that the doctors and nurses probably haven't been told yet. And seeing as it's a hospital and the doctors and nurses are busy treating patients it's no surprise that there wasn't an immediate reaction from those that are in the building! I imagine that we will see the news spread today.

Considering it's just an hour show I don't see why everyone on here thinks that every doctor, nurse, relative and friend of Robin's should be screaming and crying and doing cartwheels. An hour of soap in real life is like a small window into soap time, so for them it's only been a small amount of time. Seems that in this current society of everyone wanting what they want and wanting it now, we've forgotten that a day on a soap can go on for as long as two weeks sometimes.

As a Sam fan I don't happen to think she did anything wrong! When she was headed to the lab she was barred from entering by the firemen so she couldn't get near enough to Patrick to say anything to him. And from the look on her face she was clearly upset and in shock. Just hearing that Robin's lab exploded caused Jason to have a severe headache so her decision not to tell him about Robin was the right one! As for her approaching Patrick, I think she was about to offer her condolences when she spottted the vile in his hands with Jason's name on it. Anyone in the exact same situation upon seeing that vile would have inquired if that's the medicine that her husband needs to save his life!! We only saw the first 30 seconds of the conversation. I imagine we will see the rest of it today and whatever Sam had been planning to say to Patrick about Robin will probably get said. Also Patrick doesn't know that Sam knows about Robin.

What I find the most irritating is the viewers who hate Sam automatically jumping to conclusions before the conversation has barely begun, let alone ended!!! You sure don't like it when people do that about your favorite Elizabeth!!! Angry

Sorry, but Sam was way out of line on this one. A simple, Patrick I'm sorry for your loss, Robin was a wonderful person and always so supportive of Jason; at least something to that effect.

The DID story with Kate could have been good considering the amount of trauma she went through being shot by Michael and then at her wedding. Not to mention that she invented a new persona for herself in the first place. It could provide interesting insight into how she pushed Connie Falconieri out her life and created Kate Howard in the first place (maybe there was a psychotic break back then). I don't like it though because it seems like every female character on this show ends up in Shadybrook or Fern Cliff (i.e., Laura, Lulu, Carly, Elizabeth, Brenda). All have have had some kind of nervous or emotional breakdown usually involving a man. It makes it look like the women are fragile and can't handle difficult times without going off to the loony bin.

Jason Thompson and Finola Hughes were phenomenal. I don't mind necessarily that a door has been left open for Robin's return. I just hate that those scenes were limited and only lasted for a minute before cutting to other storylines where the same tired dialogue went on endlessly. I'm hoping that today as word spreads, we will see more focus on Robin (with flashbacks) and how this affects all of the characters. There is gold in the aftermath of her death. Seeing as it is somewhat centered on Jason, I want to see him go off the deep end realizing that the woman who loved him and saved his life countless times lost hers trying yet again to save him. I hope we see him angry at Sam and Monica for keeping the truth from him. And maybe for once, we see some character growth. I could see him turning to Liz as they share their grief for their friend.

Even if Sam saw the vile, she should have asked about Robin first. After she saw the lab had exploded, she went straight to Jason. I thought Patrick and Sam were friends being that they showed them giving eachother advice every now and then. She could have waited for Patrick to come out of the lab area and immediately offer condolensces and see if he was OK or needed anything. But I don't think she's a bad person for not doing that esp if she didn't know how to react. And I don't necessarily think that Sam lying to Jason was bad, esp if she thought the news would kill him. But I do think that the first words out of her mouth to Patrick being about Jason, instead of Robin, was bad. Yeah she saw the vile, but she can also see Patrick crying and distraught. A simple "I'm so sorry" should have been said and then she could have inquired about the vial. I don't hate Sam, but this was just wrong, even to ppl that don't hate her. And it has nothing to do with Liz. Sam has always been about putting Jason first, before herself, and before anyone else, which is why it's easy for ppl to believe she's being selfish and all about Jason instead of about the man grieving for his wife that just died.

Alexis is a better woman than I am. I'd have slapped TJ's punk ass if he stood in my house and disrespected me like that, and then I'd have thrown his punk ass bodily out the door without waiting for Shawn to do or say anything.

The Sonny/Dante/Olivia stuff was all utter junk. Kate is just bat shyte crazy, it sounded like she was actually offended that Sonny took a bullet meant for Dante. Witch, that is your nephew, blood is thicker than aging mobster boyfriends. Shadybrooke calling.... Shadybrooke calling....

Oh, and I got to thinking about the scene with Anthony and Tracy the other day and how he was quick to mention Kate to Tracey... maybe Anthony saw Kate with the gun or saw her shoot at Dante and then booked out of there before he could be blamed for it.

Well of course whomever Jason's current woman is will do whatever it takes to save him, right now it happens to be Sam being written as the insensitive one. Sure takes the focus off of Saint Jason for a few minutes doesn't it? Now it's not about Jason, it's about that bitch Sam that lied to Jason (but how many times have we seen him say to Spinelli not to tell Sam in the last few weeks and he didn't tell her how serious his condition was either after he talked to Robin), and that bitch Sam that was so bad to a grieving Patrick. Takes the focus off the real person the whole Robin storyline is about, Jason. And if one of Jason's other loves (like Liz, Kung FU Barbie, or Robin had this storyline been about someone else) was with Jason, they would've been written to ask like that also. I hated it when Alexis was begging Sam right before she lost her baby, I hated it when Jason asked Liz (best slap ever!) about Jake's organs on Carly's behalf before Liz and Lucky even started to think about taking him off life support, and I hated Sam starting to ask Patrick today. Someone's always written to be the bad guy and today it was Sam. I expected it. I imagine Patrick will give her hell on the next episode, and she will deserve it, but was it a surprise? No, because GH does it all the time.

Did we miss a Maxie/Matt scene? I thought he was with Liz at the benefit, how did he end up drunk with Maxie having to get him a room? I thought Maxie left Matt with Liz there by the elevators and then they went into the bar? Color me way confused.

And I also agree that it's really weird we aren't seeing more hospital staff, more fireman, more cops walking around. The extras from the benefit could've been cut down, and used for the hospital stuff instead, like someone else mentioned, they should've done the benefit another day. It was incredibly distracting to do both happening to play out on the same "day".

I thought the show was great. Poor Sam. She's finally pregnant and now she has to be so distraught. I hope everything works out for her and Jason. Great show.

I don't know how big GH is supposed to be....but I find it hard to believe a lab explosion is not known by more than two or three hospital personal. No alarm sounding to indicate something happened?

Bad writing is the best I can say about Robin's send off.
I have seen some stupid storylines in my life but I don't see how she comes back. That's like in the movie Soapdish where the character is beheaded and comes back. There were more people in the lab ready to be burned to a crisp? The fireman took the wedding ring off whose finger? Or Robin left it on the floor as she crawled out a hole in the wall made by the explosion? It'll sure explain all the plastic surgery she has in a famous clinic in Switzerland that makes her look like an entirely different person. And the amnesia.

Disney, just kill the show and put us out of our misery.

Sassy, GHaddict, Mipeony--Great posts. You've already said what I was thinking, so if you don't mind, I'll just cosign all of them.

Im going against what seems to be the majority consensus, but I think GH has been impressive this week. And far as the news of Robin's death getting around, you can see that time doesnt appear to be progressing at a fast rate. Anna and Patrick conversation took place for most of the hour. I actually like the pacing.
