Day players win the Daytime Drama categories. Well there is a silver lining in there. I'd rather have Ali or Williams be the winner over a certain other woman from Y&R. You can put two and two together. Yes, it's like that.
Anyways they might as well get rid of the daytime categories, because next year they will nominate Sheryl Underwood for having a guest appearance.

did Tatiana win for Y&R??
cause she's only been on every other month for 2 minutes at the most.

Emmerson Brooks...isn't he the guy who played "Mookie" on AMC?? Wow.

Tatyana is great role-model for young African American girls. She's not out there looking cheap and doing the booty-shaking thing. Thank Goodness!
But the only storyline she was ever featured in for more than five minutes per show was that awful Devon sleeping with his aunt story.

Did they say what storyline Tatyanna won for?
iirc, last time she was on screen to support Devon when he was looking for singers.

MY QUESTION IS, IF SHE WON BEST ACTRESS FOR Y AND R, WHO WAS SHE COMPETING AGAINST ON ANY SHOW? JUST CURIOUS. I WATCH YR DAILY ALL THE TIME AND SHE BARELY HAS AIR TIME.

@yojoromo4469: Here were the other nominees:
Christel Khalil: Lily Winters Ashby "The Young and the Restless" (CBS)
Julia Pace Mitchell: Sophia Dupre Winters "The Young & the Restless" (CBS)
Tonya Lee Williams: Dr. Olivia Barber Winters "The Young and the Restless" (CBS)
Yvette Freeman Dr. Lewis "The Bold and the Beautiful" (CBS)
Yeah the selection was bad to begin with because they should have had:
Renee Jones (lexie, Days) Debbie Morgan (Angie, AMC) and Florencia Lozano (Tea, OLTL) on that list.

The winners of these awards just goes to support the ignorance of my Negroes. Pathetic!

Good lord, Olivia's storylines are as non-existant as Ali's are. Heck, she's on so little, I can't even remember Devon's gf's name! Those two being nommed in that category is a joke.

Is that the girl who plays 'Roxanne'? They should have given it to Tonya Lee.

PERSONALLY I AM THRILLED THAT LILY/CHRISTAL DID NOT WIN, BUT OLIVIA IS SELDOM SEEN THANKFULLY AND WOULD DEFINITELY NOT BE CONSIDERED A LEAD ACTOR.
ROXY WOULD OR SHOULD NOT EITHER. THEY BOTH FIT IN THE SUPPORTING PART AND DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SCREEN TIME FOR THAT EITHER, BUT BETTER THAN HAVING LILY GET THE WIN.

As much as I dislike Christel Khalil, she or the actress from B&B should have been shoo-ins for this award over the rest of the competition. Seriously, Tatyana was on maybe 1 episode and had no storyline!
And the guy from AMC seemed to be doing an OK job, but I can't really say because I was grinding my teeth and cringing through 99.999999% of that hideous AMC storyline.
Bottom line: Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams were the BEST AA actors on the soaps in 2011. Simple as that! They should have BOTH gotten it.
Anything else simply makes no sense!!
