Y&R: Now switch over to Y&R and the first thing I saw was Debbie Morgan in a bad wig and a horrible outfit snapping her fingers to a song that would never hit the charts in America or the world. And then having the nerve to suggest that Devon has a hit on his hands.
Also the fact that these characters should be engaged in the corporate storylines that have made Y&R once a top-notch soap, are now regulated to playing out a "caricature of the black experience" and that is just nauseating and disgusting when in 2012 we have a black man holding the highest CEO office in the nation.
You can't tell me that Y&R (of all soaps) would not capitalize off of it and explore Neil in a more concrete and detailed fashion and delve into the life of the black middle class?
And so you see I don't even need to go any further, because that is just a sampling of what is still wrong with this soap.
If Bill Bell were around and in good heath or Jack Smith was still there, I know either of them would have seen the election of Obama as a sign. Shit even Lynn Marie Lathem understood that much.
And "never did I work more..." were the words from Kristoff Saint John's mouth.
Yet as long as the African Americans characters get 50% of 50% of the storylines that their Caucasian counterparts get. As long as Y&R keeps hiring reality TV stars and scooping up actors from now defunct soaps only to tarnish the actor's legacy in the industry with a stroke of a keyboard. Then Y&R will continue to fail in my eyes.
And ain't no amount of positive thinking gonna change a damn thing until you get rid of Mo, Larryetta and Curly who helm this disastrous daytime drama.
And don't let a couple of good days here and there fool you. Trust me it don't last but hot minute before it turns you off again.

B&B was a total snooze fest in my opinion! I only started watching it after AMC was cancelled and I don't intend to continue watching it. It's not interesting at all to me and all the women, both young and old, have had so much plastic surgery that watching them is painful. Nothing on their faces move. That coupled with the dreadful stories and bad acting has left me cold.
Y&R is ok but I'm still not finding anything to get invested in or anyone to root for.
GH is still the best soap on the air in my opinion and I look forward to watching it each and every day!!!!!

Main press & soap press is railing how awful GH is right now tells you a lot. GH is most certainly not the best soap, the good news is they can't get an lower in the quality they could only go up. DOOL is not even near being the worse but they got to be careful the next few months that they don't go all psycho. Y&R still might have the strongest ratings but not the strongest in stories, that is evident but there are some good stories happening at the same time with Jack. At least Y&R has made some improvements. Some are the small scenes that is more like Y&R that Y&R was missing the last year. Example last week scene with Ashley and Traci tag teaming on Gen's ass was old Y&R. Ashley had security waiting for Gen at office had her shit packed up throwing her ass out of Jabot's building and then Traci came and told Gen she had packed up all her belongings at the Abbott mansion and Traci shipped them off. ED was just bitchy & strong, BM was Traci nice but snarky, those Abbotts have always banned together around family which was lost for a time...it was pure fun! The scenes with Jack & Phyllis was golden, Phyllis not being psycho manic, nice soft scene as Phyllis throwing out reporters and all the scenes between Jack & Nikki was on the mark reminds me that Y&R could be Y&R again. Get rid of dead weight stories and keep the feel of those simple scenes but driving the story to next level is Y&R. I'm SOOO excited there is going to a redux of Jack & Nikki, long time coming because that hits Victor's ass in a totally different way and not in business. The scenes with Paul & Nina were beautiful. Jill has been on more lately and not floating in and out. As repulsive as this Chelsea & mama story is the best part was Jill being Jill inserting herself on Chelsea and then when Jeffery kissed Jill was hilarious and Jill took Jeffery to Gloria and Jill in background just smiling loving it when Gloria waylaid Jeffery across the face. Let us now have a moment of silence and pray Y&R continues the trend.

I agree it's a nice fantasy to think of Will\EJ, but reality it will never happen. It stemming from the chemistry as actors both share on screen. But with history with Sami even Days wouldn't go there I wouldn't think.

B&B was a total snooze fest in my opinion! I only started watching it after AMC was cancelled and I don't intend to continue watching it.
