I voted for Days because it needs all the love it can get right now.I don't think there was really a soap that was great all week.Days got my vote on the strength of Fri's episode.Monday's episode wasnt too bad with EJ and Nicole calling out Abe.The rest of the week was boring,even though I know it was setting up Fri.
B&B would have gotten my vote,but it was so repetitive.Eveyone giving Steffy advice.Hope really acting like a spoiled teen,wanting everthing right now.They really need to pace better.
Y&R was uneven again.Can't stand Anita,Angelina,her father,and Jeffery being back.Nikki/Jack,Adam/Sharon were the best.Also loved Jill calling Anita out.
Don't watch GH anymore,but from the recaps it doesn't sound like it has improved too much.
I haven't voted for best soap for the last couple weeks. I was voting Days but last 2 weeks hasn't been its best and wanted to see if B&B would continue with the good soap stories which it has done being the most balance. I voted for B&B this week because it was simply was the best soap...and only 30 minute soap who would of thunk it!
B&B is by far the best soap...but...the characters that involve the current stories are not always likeable.
Liam is a pussy. He cant make up his mind or actually call out all these people involving and making choices that he should make.
KM is great as Hope, but there lacks something in the actress and it has nothing to do with her abbilities to act, because she can act thats clear.
JMW is great as Steffy. She is getrting better every year and she has improved so much on this soap.
Ronn Moss and Hunter Tylo are both a mess. Why are they even on this show? Its getting ridiculous by the day. They cant act, they are not even beautiful and they are actually quite boring. I dont get it why Brad keeps showing them on my screen. I could understand Ronn Moss, but Hunter Tylo has to go...ASAP.
I voted for B&B. DAYS was also pretty good especially the Will/Sami stuff. I am looking forward to RC's material to start airing on GH. And Y&R is just not my cup of tea but its so much better than it has been the past few months.
Might I suggest that we add "None of the above" to the list??? There are weeks I'm really starting to have problems choosing a best soap here.
However, this week my vote goes to B&B. Even though I would like for the show to make characters not constantly acting after plot. Character-driven story telling is the key word here.
DAYS was better over the past months ... sadly the stories are just moving too slow and things become uninteresting. Also I didn't like Grandma Horton's secret one bit.
Y&R is a mess and GH an even bigger one. Sometimes I ask myself for what these writers are getting paid. Only sweet thing about Y&R: Nikki and Jack on his hospital bed ... if we hadn't to put up with Phyllis judging anyone around her. It's so ANNOYING!!!!

I'll take that one even further. The best soap I watched all week was the free Guiding Light episode from the early '80s that is available at soapclassics.com.
Sad, but true. The best soaps I'm watching right now are on the web. But I'll keep supporting the network soaps as long as they last.
