General Hospital: Perkie's Observations
Alexis and Molly meet with Shawn at Kelly’s. He wants advice about TJ and mentions he had planned on leaving PC. Carly overhears this and is angry he was going to leave without saying good bye. Shawn introduces TJ. Molly sits with him, to discuss going to school. Alexis offers to call a friend, who is the principal to speed up his entry.
Molly sings Shawn’s praises, but TJ isn’t interested. She talks about school and the positives. He says he has no intentions of going.
Shawn assures Carly that he wouldn’t have left without saying goodbye. He’s staying because TJ is here now. Carly is sure that helping TJ will be good for Shawn, he’s a positive role model. Shawn says his current job does not make him positive. Carly says her mother’s out of town and needs someone to run Kelly’s. Shawn accepts the job and says he’s lucky to have her as a friend.
Ewen runs into Alexis. He asks if he can rent Windemere and explains that it’s for a patient. Alexis thinks it’s strange, but ultimately agrees to rent it to him.
Jason has Spinelli check his connections and finds out that police discovered a charred body in the remains of Franco’s studio. Spinelli wonders if Franco’s reign of terror is finally over. He asks why Jason doesn’t seem more relieved. Ethan shows up to see Spin, so Jason leaves.
Ethan asks Spinelli to find out information on Cassandra. Spinelli’s wonders if Ethan is ready to hear whatever he finds. Cassandra could have some terrible secrets she’s hiding. Ethan says he needs to know.
Sam has a nightmare about Franco and being pregnant. When Jason gets home, she tells him about it and says she hates feeling scared and weak. Sam says she needs to decide what to do about the baby. She wants the baby to be Jason’s. She wonders how she can carry and love this child if it isn’t. Jason asks if she wants to end the pregnancy.
Maxie has the photos of her and Matt from the shoot. She claims that everyone can see the chemistry between them. Liz has the research magazine that Matt’s paper was published in. Maxie claims she knows all about the research. Liz urges her to explain it, which Maxie ultimately can’t. Maxie doesn’t care, because she’s just going to frame the photo shoot and put it on their wall. Liz asks if they’re living together. She reminds Maxie that she accused Liz of being afraid to live alone.
Maxie claims she has a stalker, but Matt says he didn’t see anyone. She points out to Matt that Liz made her look bad. Matt says she doesn’t care about his research. He doesn’t have time for her talk of a stalker. Maxie says she might have done something to invite the dark in and now she’s worried. Matt tells her to talk to Mac. Maxie says she’ll find someone to help her.
Sonny follows Kate to the Metro Court restaurant and they argue. She says she needs some time and that she doesn’t want to do this anymore. I get whiplash, because I thought they were doing fine the last time we saw them. Then I think they got old Dante-Lulu scripts. Apparently it`s their turn to break up one day and make up the next. Then, I thought they were creating a fake argument to look like they had broken up, for the sake of his enemies. However, after sitting through the whole thing, looks like it was legit.
Sonny’s sorry he was shot at. He promises to do everything to keep her safe. She says she can’t be a gangster’s girlfriend and watch him die. She says she forgot that she wasn’t equipped to deal with his life. She can’t do it anymore and wants to move on. Sonny admits he handled the shooting wrong. He should have called and told her, but he was afraid she would panic, like she’s doing now.
Kate feels they aren’t compatible. He can’t charm his way into her good graces. She cares about him, but can’t make him the center of her life. Sonny says they all have regrets, but that he’s proud of who she’s become. He’s never asked her to compromise herself for him. Kate says she doesn’t know how much more she can handle and needs time to think.
Olivia wants to discuss their relationship with Steve, but he gets paged back to the hospital. He’s worried that someone will notice he’s wearing the same clothes he was in the day before. Olivia tells him he should leave some clothes at her place for that purpose. She offers to drive him to work.
At the hospital, Olivia gets annoyed when she finds out that Maggie was the one who paged Steven, to check one of her patients. After Steven leaves with Maggie, Liz asks why she’s so upset. Olivia says she hopes Maggie didn’t use an injured child to get to Steve. As she’s leaving, Steve stops her. He says he’ll be helping Maggie with the patient and that he’ll be awhile.
Matt goes back to Liz. He thanks her for getting him the journal and says she’s been his biggest supporter. Liz asks about Maxie. Matt says Maxie can’t even pretend to care about his research. Liz says she’s proud of him.
Maxie goes to Spinelli and tells him she’s reconsidered and wants him for her roommate.
Sam tells Jason she can already feel her body changing, but she doesn’t want Franco’s baby. Jason tells her to stop thinking about Franco, the baby could be his. Sam says she feels her anger and hatred for Franco will transfer to the baby. She can’t live this way. After calling Kelly, Sam says there’s a paternity test she can take because she needs to know.

Can't wait until the new writers get here and get rid of Kate. This Kate is so annoying and very hard to look at. Liked the fact Molly has a friend but I wish they would have chosen a boy who could act. Where are the next generation Michael B Jordan at?

I know Ron C. likes edgy stories but the rumor about Shawn and Molly becoming a thrill-kill duo is just too much. Though there's obviously something deeply wrong with Molly. Creepiest character on TV, easily, right now. Sooner she's in Shadybrooke the better.

I can't wait til Ron's changes take effect either. Watching the whole Kelly's scenes seemed a waste of time yesterday. Ready for Shawn, the new kid, Ewen, Windemere girl and the new Pediatrician to go packing. Ready for Scorpio time.

Yawwwwwwnnnnnnnnn...............
Ron C, time for you to step up to the bat and hopefully put me out of my misery!
And I agree, do they really think that showing NuKate 12 days a week is going to force people to like and accept her? Well, I will not be swayed. The actress who plays her is beyond annoying in this role and doesn't have even 1/20th of the stage presence that Megan Ward had!!
When will they cut their losses???

Here's how the conversations go in my head when Sonny is on...
Love of Sonny's life (of the month): I can't handle your lifestyle. It's so dangerous.... blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
Sonny: Oh, it's not dangerous for me, just everyone around me.
Love of Sonny's life (of the month): Blah, blah, danger, blah, blah, love...
Sonny: Oh, but I can keep you safe, blah, blah, blah....
Rather, Rinse, Repeat. It's all deja vu to me now. If I wasn't watching live, I could fast forward every conversation he has with a woman. He only really has two conversations... the first one where he's mumbling his way through tripping up over the words safe and I love you, and the other one where he screams Betrayal at them and throws barware around.
MB must have a huge, huge fanbase that they just don't want to let go, they need to seriously backburner Sonny for a while and let some others shine though the darkness this show has become.

Thursday-late, moving into Friday early morning...PC is dark and light is difficult to find...anybody got some candles? Matches? Something?...
I got the feeling the writer's are abandoning the idea of Shawn and Carly.
(Maybe RC is already tweaking.) I think they work better as friends. As for this sullen young man, who's been dropped into this story? Maybe it's me, but it seems like this is an effort to establish some sort of "base" for Shawn. To develop "roots" and thus rooting value for the character. I liked him when he first came on and his initial scene partner was Molly. They've been struggling to define him ever since...
We've seen this before. Slightly "geekie" adolescent with brains and nascent romantic tendencies comes into contact with street wise, smart mouth loner with a chip(make that cinder block), on his shoulder. Will she be led down a path of juvenlie delinquency, causing her neurotic lawyer mother to place her under lock and key? Or will he be challenged, charmed and changed by her guileless personality and sincere passion for books and learning with all it's "puppy love" implications bubbling in the background? I like HP so I'll stick with it...
Loved Alexis dry humor description of Wyndemere: "...that gothic h**l hole."...
Matt looked like he was in hog heaven with two attractive women "vying" for the honor of who brought the most appreciated gift: Proofs from a fashion shoot or a "hot off the press" publishing of his research paper in a prestigious medical journal? I think Liz won the Best in Snark award:
On the other side though, I did feel for Maxie as she probably felt out of her depth with all the medical jargon being tossed around. Between that and her very real fear of her deal with Papa Z spilling out and the (definitely not Spinelli), "Fedora" stalker showing up, it's not surprising she's going off the rails. And really, Matt could've been more patient and listen rather than dismiss her upset...
"What did you tell the interviewer?" "...I know all about Matt's research...all the sciency words flew out of my brain." "Well, maybe because they were never there to begin with." I couldn't help myself thinking "Good one Liz."
"There's been a fire..." "Did they find a body?" Nothing like up to the minute information. Too bad Spinelli can't provide peace of mind when it comes to "The Pest": "...I'm happy to help bring an end to the reign of terror...it is over, isn't it?" You can hear that note of uncertainty in BA's voice as our cyber challenged PI sees his mentor not quite as effusive as he expects. With Ethan's arrival there is more info to gather:
"I know why you're here." It's easy to see the different angles they use when it comes to Cassandra. Ethan-heart and soul leading his way, Spinelli intellectually disecting: "The puzzle is fascinating." When Maxie arrives (with her own agenda), Spinelli's heart will push his brain out of the way: "...To what do I owe the pleasure?" "...I want you to be my
roommate." I'm not sure I want to see him lose her again...
Nice to know Olivia can count. I got a chuckle out of Liz's bemused question: "How high do you have to get before I can ask you what's going on without you punching me?"...
I like that Sam and Jason are moving together with regard to the baby. Which I prefer especially since I think the writers have spent more time than is necessary on Jason's "pain" (not dismissing it, mind you). Until
the paternity is determined, it's a waiting game. "Do you want to end the pregnancy?" "I don't know what to do." KM is doing a good job with the
"torn between two desires" aspects of this story: wanting the child vs. completely rejecting it because of how it came to be and who may be the father. I don't envy her position...
The changeover was jarring. Complete 180 in demeanor. When we last saw her, she was fairly calm considering what she walked in on. I said it before, reality bites, dear and Kate has had a big chunkof mob life smack her upside the head. And I think what is part of this meltdown is the feeling that the bully is so cavalier and blase about it: "I'm sorry I
scared you." "Sorry!? Your're not sorry enough to change. "Is that what you're askin"?" "I can't be the gangsters girlfriend." That's one of the most intelligent things she's said since she came back. And she's already thinking of life without him. (Good for her!) "It's not gonna last forever...I can't make you the center of my life." And while he says he doesn't want that, that's exactly what he wants from everyone who surrounds him. Finding that "place in the middle"? It doesn't exist. Not in the world he inhabits. She's already taken a chance with him. She's gotten shot twice. Third times the charm and she might not live to tell
about it...
Back again later today...till then...'night all...
Swan!
