General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Lulu brings Dante breakfast at work and the two discuss the greatness of being married. Lulu is worried for Tracy, now that she’s planning on marrying Anthony.  Lulu knows Tracy loves Luke and wonders why Tracy’s doing it. She ponders the possibility that Anthony is holding something against her.  Dante offers to look into it, but Lulu turns him down, then heads out to a possible new job.

Turns out Anthony is the one who grabbed Tracy and he is holding her on his yacht.  She promises she won’t press charges if he lets her go.  Anthony calls her “angel”, which Tracy despises, since it’s what Luke used to call Laura.  Anthony apologizes and offers to call her “Venus” instead.  Tracy points out that they didn’t get married on the 13th as planned. She has no intention of marrying him at all.

Anthony mentions his first wife Dominica. Tracy reminds him of her and how she always wanted to run things so he divorced her.  He tells Tracy that he won’t give up, no matter how many times she says no. He reminds her that he has evidence that can send her to federal prison.  Tracy offers to pay him back in full the money that she took from Gino, but Anthony doesn’t want that either.

Tracy says she can’t stand him and doesn’t want to marry him.  Anthony says he doesn’t much care for her either, He’s ok with their mutual hatred being in the open.  Tracy wants him to dock somewhere, so she can stretch her legs and get married at city hall. However, Anthony wants to get married on board the boat.

Shawn comes down to the diner to find TJ has broken in and is eating the food.  TJ feels Shawn owes him for having killed his father in the service.  TJ’s got a chip on his shoulder, but plans to stay.  Wilson interrupts them, then Lulu, who’s come to walk the dog.  Shawn agrees to have TJ stay with him.  When Lulu returns with the dog, she says she’s found her calling, opening a pet store.

Kate has Johnny take a look at her car and John’s surprised that Sonny allowed it.  Carly shows up, so Kate leaves.  Johnny wonders why Carly bailed on their night.  She claims the nanny was sick and she had to stay home.  He asks about other commitments. Carly says Shawn was just a friend.  Johnny reminds her that if Jax is alive, she’s technically still a married woman.  He wonders if she wants to bail on their night together.

Carly asks if Johnny has seen Michael. Johnny says he ran into him at Sonny’s office.  He thinks Carly told Sonny about their upcoming rendezvous, to avoid doing the deed. Carly assures him that she didn’t.  Carly is worried about Michael finding out and hating her.  Johnny claims Michael won’t find out from him.  Carly agrees, but not tonight because she needs to make arrangements.  Johnny asks if she doesn’t want to sleep with him or if she doesn’t want to admit that she wants to.

Sonny summons Michael, to show him his gunshot wound. He says he thinks it was Johnny who did it and to stay away from the Zaccharas.  Sonny asks if Michael remembers how it feels to get shot, the business is too dangerous.  He asks why Michael looks like crap. Michael admits he hasn’t been sleeping, because he dreams of Abby.  Sonny assures him that he knows what that’s like and he needs time to get through it.  He talks about being shot as Kate arrives and overhears and is angry.

Sonny says it isn’t serious and that he wasn’t even planning on telling her about it.  He says he didn’t want to worry her or have her think the violence is too much and chase her away.  He wonders if it will. Kate says she knew they’d eventually come back to the real lives. She then jokes that she’s glad it was him this time, but asks if she’s next.  Sonny says he can’t promise to keep her safe, but will do everything to protect her because he can’t stand to lose her.  Kate says she came into this with eyes wide open, but asks that he not get shot again.

Michael heads into an alley and dumps/hides his gun in a garbage can.

Matt shows up at work to cover Patrick’s shift, since he’s taken a sick day.  He wonders if Liz is seeing Ewen. She says she isn’t seeing anyone.  Matt tells her that Maxie asked him to move in and he turned her down.  Ewen shows up to talk to Liz.

They go into a supply closet. Ewen tells her to pretend it’s an elevator that can take her anywhere in time. He then asks her where she would be.  Liz says she’d be right here, which surprises Ewen.  Liz says she would never trade her children. She has a friend facing a health crisis and she’s grateful for what she has.  She feels you make the most of the time you have.  Ewen declares her cured.

Delores tells Dante that she has an idea on how to catch their stripper abuser.  She wants to hire a profiler to see what they’re missing.  Dante’s skeptical at first, but realizes they need fresh eyes on this case.  In walks Ewen, who reads the case file. He tells them that the attacks are getting worse, the attacker is looking for attention and wants the credit.  He tells them there is more connection between the victims than just the dancing.

Lulu shows up at the PCPD to tell Dante about her idea for a job, but she’s sneezing and breaking out in hives. She realizes that she’s allergic to dogs.

When Ewen gets back to the hospital he notices that Liz looks calmer.  Matt thinks Ewen offering Liz a compliment is not being professional.  Liz says Ewen helped her out. She was upset earlier. Matt tells her that she can come to him if she ever needs to.  Later on, she tells Matt she has something to show him. Maxie shows up at the same time, saying the same thing.

Carly’s on the phone with Luke, telling him that he needs to find something on Johnny before tomorrow night.

Johnny’s in his garage, cleaning his gun (totally not a euphemism!!)

Michael goes back to the garbage can in the alley and retrieves his gun.  I’m still putting money on him being the shooter.

Thanks for the recaps I enjoyed Tracey/Anthony scenes, Elizabeth seems to be written better (for this eppy at least) I take it eppy by eppy... I'm kind of tired of Matt is like either stay with Maxi...or get off the pot.

We already have a brat with attitude on this show, his name is Michael. I don't think we need 2. We have Sonny and his temper, Jason and his temper, Michael and his temper, do we really need TJ with one too?

If Matt's done with Maxie, then he needs to end it and not try to flirt with Liz while he's still got a girlfriend. I'd rather see Liz with Ewen anyway... I think there's a lot more storyline potential with Ewen than Matt could ever have. Think of the storyline possiblities if it turns out Ewen's a Cassadine (yep, I'm still hoping he's Stefan's son).

I find it HILARIOUS that Kate is surprised that Sonny got shot. This version of Kate definately got her IQ score lowered.

Tracy and Anthony were the only watchable part of this show!

Everything else is just the same lather, rinse and repeat crap!!

Michael is a dummy who I have grown to despise. Lulu is a whiny housewife who needs to get a life!

Ewen is on TEN days a freaking week.........WHY? He's cute, but anytime a show tries to shove a character down my throat without involving characters that I care about, I automatically stop caring! And I stopped caring about this newbie weeks ago!

And as far as NuKate, I don't care how much airtime they give this woman, it's not gonna make me like or accept her. The second they got rid of Megan Ward, I stopped giving a damn about the character of Kate!

She can leave town and take that dreadful "Lady in White" chick with her!!

I seriously don't have the patience to even invest in this crappy show anymore! It's dreadful!! I want my old soaps: ATWT, GL, AMC and OLTL back! They were ten times better on their worst days than this drivel.

Late Wednesday-"muddle of the week"...PC has been a "muddle" for a while...

Despite the "ick factor", I think Carly and John could end up totally into each other. What starts specifically as "Project Protecting Jr." could morph into something more concrete beyond the initial reason. LW and
BrBa have a distinct chemistry that makes their continuing "cat and mouse-ing" each other intriguing. Carly's trying to resist until she gets that Zacharra info, and John knows she's stalling and keeps up that steady pressure: "...starting to wonder...if you actually don't want to sleep with me or you don't want to admit that you want to." We know Carly hates
to admit certain truths to herself...

If he shot his father (intentionally or by mistake), he does a good job of keeping it from showing. Jr. isn't going to abandon his "journey" to gain a foothold in the business, be it Corinthos, Zacharra, or another family. What started out as twisted justice for Abby has turned into "Whatever it takes to make my case". I don't know. Hiding your gun in a trash can and then going back to retrieve it doesn't seem very bright...

"Why is it every time I walk in here the picture is worse?" Reality bites, dear. "...probably better if you knock next time." His condecension and trying to placate her is insufferable. The violence that is the bully Sr.'s life hasn't stopped and she's foolish to think that's going to change. I thought she might be getting a clue: "...am I next?" But then
"...I'm not going anywhere." She must be desperate...

That she leaves a message for Patrick is a sign that she wants the best for him and Robin. In turn, Matt's conversation with Liz bears out his wanting the best for her. From the taking responsibility of not ducking out of work and caring for the kids, his quizzing her on whether she's
"seeing" Ewan: "So informally? Sorry..." "I'm not seeing Dr K or anyone...No commitments?" "None." "None here either." They're comfortable enough with each other to be unguarded. But when Ewan arrives now and then later that protection radar kicks in...again...

Between Ewan and Maggie (not seeing her, not complaining), it's quite the
menu of unconventional treatments. To say nothing about their locations.
Even past the confines of the supply closet, Liz is a tad sarcastic about the "elevator to anywhere". Still, she goes with the flow and it hits her.
She's exactly where she wants to be. Honest, articulate, sincere in her response to his theory "...the fantasy is an appealing thing." "If you go back, nothing changes...forward you might miss what's in front of you. All
you can do is make the most out of the time that's been given you." "...My work is done." That is the baited hook. Liz is going to try to figure out how he brought her to that realization. Her curiosity is now activated and the chase begins in 3...2...1...And his "work"? Maybe "agenda" is a better word...

They are still giddy and goofy about being married. Just sweet and silly. She's hopeful about her new "bliss"/job prospect. Not saying too much so as not to jinx it. These things take a back seat to Tracy's being
"incommunicado" which has her worried: "...something might be wrong"
"Maybe she's embarrassed..." "...I know she still loves my dad..." L pulls up and chides herself for "getting involved" but D's supportive of her concern and offers to check things out for her. "No...I'll wait...we'll
figure out our options." And with that she races off. To return later after walking Wilson with a full blown case of sneezing and hives. "Whoa!
What's with your neck?!" "...I'm allergic to my new job!" He can't hide his amusement and it's a good thing D didn't laugh, at least not then. This finding your bliss is not without it's hazzards...

He's not laughing about the increase in severity on the dancers' assault case. In spite of his doubts, he's willing to go with Padilla's eagerness to engage Dr. K to profile the perp. "He doesn't know that many people. He has no one to protect." Which he takes as being a dig at his family tie to the bully Sr. D's got to get over this defensive posture. It's a crutch he's got to throw away. That he relents and she forges ahead signals a better working mode is being built. After Ewan leaves, having given them an objective overview, he's still dubious but less resistant. And she's more than ready to "move fast" to solve this puzzle...

I don't want to throw cold water on a story that's barely goten past it's first day. But TJ and Shawn are stock. Millitary school? Okay-he's going to cross paths with Morgan (and probably the bully Sr. and Carly). He's fourteen. Okay-he's going to cross paths with Molly (and probably Alexis). Not a lot to figure out here. I know, I should give it a chance. I just hope TJ doesn't make a habit of refering to each female he comes into contact with as a "fine dog". Am I being too sensitive? Or did I misinterpret something?... Puzzled

"...This cuddly mobster routine is wasted...You have absolutely nothing that I want." "You want my silence." And Anthony believes he's in the drivers' seat with this wedding to Tracy. Right down to attempting to find a pet name for her. Epic fail when he tries out "Angel": "Don't call me that!" (We all know "Angel".) When he hits on "Venus", I could actually see her being called that-if you add "Flytrap" after it. A plant that traps insects. And I'm really hoping she somehow traps Papa Z in his own web. 'Cause even with her all but declaring that she still loves the sour Spencer patriarch (God only knows why Puzzled ), this wedding is gonna happen by the time that ship pulls back into port. Unless the aforementioned sour Spencer patriarch takes Natasha's advice and happens to show up groveling at his "Spankybuns" feet...

Stay warm, stay safe...
Swan! Innocent

Why does Tracy usually appear in 2 scenes per episode when she is on? Sometimes 3.
What is that about?

I'm sick of stories of where Michael will work and Dante is on everyday it seems.
I think I'm watching Springer until the re boot happens. I just can't take it anymore.
