Grab your decoder rings, because Scorpio is back! TVLine's suds-loving scoopster Matt Mitovich just broke the news that Tristan Rogers will return to the General Hospital airwaves, as superspy Robert Scorpio in February. With Kimberly McCullough, who plays Robert's daughter Robin, leaving the series, and Finola Hughes on her way back as mama Anna Devane, it's pretty safe to say Robert and Anna are coming back to help usher their kid off the canvas, however buzz is Robin's 'rents could be sticking around!

I'd just come up with some sort of DNA switch and have Ethan be a Scorpio. I mean we just found out Jessica is Clints after years now thinking she was Mitch's and that's years after thinking she was Clints LOL.

That would be nice but since Nathan Parsons is leaving I don't see why they would switch Ethan's paternity now.

This is why I love Frank and Ron, they make things happen, I agree if they make Robert, Ethan's real father before he leaves, icing on the cake!!!

I am with Katie, since they made Jessica, Clint's again, they can make it work.

I am excited to hear Robert is returning..just sad that Robin is departing. It will be very interesting to see where Frank and Ron take GH.

Oh boy, let's hope this doesn't start a new rash of paternity switching and forged DNA tests. Frank and Ron used these plot devices as a crutch on OLTL.

I am so happy for GH viewers in getting this Gem back, He was friggin fantastic as Colin Atkinson on Y&R. I was supposed to hate him but in turn fell in love with him...So on that note...GH here I come!!!

Great news!!! Now if Patty could kill Genevieve over at Y&R in order to bring Genie Francis back to GH too, this would be awesome.

I also hope that Frank and Ron try to talk Jonathan Jackson in to returning as Lucky. Would be nice if they could work their magic on Kimberly too.

"GH" needs all the favorites they can get before ABC is deciding anything. At least they would have tried then.

AMEN!!! Let's not use the same devices that have driven this genre into its grave. I'd much rather have a heart-felt realistic story line about these characters than worry about who's the baby daddy. If the new regime can't mop up all the stupidity of the past writers with more stupidity of their own. Here's hoping Robert and Anna can assist the PCPC with becoming an intelligent force and ridding PC of its slew of serial killers and other mobster goons.

Doesn't this pretty much guarantee that Robin will die, or at the very least be presumed dead? Why else would they need her parents back for her send off? Makes me sad. I may be one of the few, however, who would rather have her die than be presumed dead. She is my second favorite character and I have seen every episode she has ever been in, so it will be incredibly sad to see the character die. But on the other hand, I am sick to death of people being presumed dead and then coming back later.

I'm looking forward to seeing IB on DOOL as I am really enjoying that soap right now. But I agree that a Duke return would be cool. Robert is my all-time favorite soap character and his return will have me tuning into GH again! Would love to see Sean Donely again. Can you imagine Robert, Anna, Sean and Luke on screen together?!

I share your sentiments. I just hope that whatever exit occurs that it's character-driven. This whole Robin running away and leaving her family is bulls**t. Other than death, I'm not sure what logically makes sense for Robin to leave (Another Patrick infidelity, top-secret treatment in Europe, going to Africa to test a new HIV vaccine) but it can't be that she's just running away. The fact that the powers that be have chosen to bring Robert and Anna back makes me feel a little more trusting that they know the kind of story us old time viewers really want to see. I greatly enjoyed their work on Night Shift Season 2 a few years ago and am hoping for a story that conjures up those same emotions.

I feel as if I've been stabbed and punched in the gut by this show so many times in the past decade but I'll return to see this. Return and HOPE.

Maybe one of the reasons Tristan is coming back is the change to Ron/Frank.He has made comments in the past about how bad GH treated Robert and his family.If a dna test gives fans what they want,Ethan being a Scorpio,great.I think that's why they changed Jessica's paternity,to give fans a happy ending.

I believe Ron does listen to fans more than other shows,i.e. Y&R.Maybe he can mature baby Michael,mellow and smarten up angry Sonny.Maybe he will give the Scorpio's,Quartemaine's,and Spencer families better stories.We will have to see.

I hope that we aren't witnessing the last year of GH, but if so, I am pleased that the mending of fences can be done -- not just with the actors but with their characters as well.

I can't only hope this bodes well for the character of Luke Spencer, who has been miserable, self-centered, and bitter in the era of the show. Maybe with his mate, Robert, back Luke can get out of his permanent funk. And anything that would mean more airtime for John York is ok with me!
