Jamia Simone Nash Returns to The Young and The Restless

Seems like The Young and the Restless' Devon (Bryton James) will be reuniting with more family members soon. The latest issue of CBS Soaps In Depth is reporting Jamia Simone Nash (Ana) is returning to Genoa City . No word on how long the songbird will be sticking around. Looks like the timing for Ana's visit is just right, now that her mother YoHarmony (Debbi Morgan) has decided to stick around. Nash's episode is slated to air Dec. 21.

Better her than Tyra. Jamia wasn't the best child actor, but at least she has actual talent in singing. I don't know what Eva Marcille's talent is.

Perfect- more characters added for us to get glimpses of for 5 seconds. How about Bell QUIT adding more new characters and instead just give us the stories & char we already loved? Uhm, like COLIN & JILL?? Bell has risen to new depths of lunacy.

She might as well go for full annoyance and put vile, I mean villy, into a quad with lame, I mean lane. Has the 'great' potential to be Jack-Sharon v. Nick-Phyllis all over again. That story went on for years. Maria is sitting on a gold mine *eyeroll*
Seriously though. Since she insists on the being bad. She should go balls to the walls bad. Cause some kind of drama, mix up your 'top' couples, while your real top couple, Niki and Victor, goes on their annual streak of covering every soap mag.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Why is MAB & Co determined to write characters we HATE or don't care about instead of the ones we actually like. It's bad enough that the stories are badly written, but the characters we love have allowed us to hold on hoping for better but THIS? I hate this character- I don't know why they think we want to watch more of her. Did any fan bases scream and rant when she left? Ugh! Nooooooooooooooooo! Watch the ratings take the biggest dump ever when she gets back. Hopefully it will just be for the Xmas episode and then be gone back to school (off screen).

Get rid of that tragic mess of a character/American Idol reject Diana.......whatshername, and stop making me watch people sing. I don't watch Y&R for the free concerts. Never have. Never will.
I have nothing against this actress, or really even against the character, and she certainly has a beautiful voice, but why does this show need to bring back MORE dead weight?

No more singing children.
No more Top Model rejects.
If you want to bring someone back, bring back Victoria Rowell/Drucilla Winters!!

Chelly62...because she doesn't know how!! The only reason she is sitting in that seat is because of her husband. If it was any other such LML she would have been gone a year ago. The Bells I don't think will do nothing to correct the problem. Until Y&R and falls below 3 rating share, she isn't going nowhere and then Sony and Bells will beg fans to return..ala JFP did but it might be way to late by then because fans are sick and tired of their voices falling on deaf ears...prime example GH. Even with with change happening FV...it's to late.

Singing helping me FF an episode faster. I've always hated it - such a waste of time. It's probably a foregone conclusion now that Devon has record label and Tucker had roots in music industry that we're going to be seeing a lot of it in 2012. If the focus is on the relationship between Tucker/Devon that's fine, but if we have to hear the Mafia Princess and Ana sing. PLEASE NO!

I also don't see all that much wrong with the actress, the character or her singing (except that I try to avoid child singers). I agree that this is not a musical, however she does fit into the story line at this point; and maybe it will not be for very long.

Y&R has always been the "concert soap" from Danny Romalotti Sr., Amy Lewis, Gina, John Abbott, and others breaking out into song, so we cannot say they are not attempting to recapture that element. But I agree, I don't ever want to hear another child singer on this show. Ana's last stint bored me to tears....

I didn't think Ana was that bad. I thought it was the writing for the storyline at the time that was the real problem. Besides, the girl really can sing. My problem is that I can't stand singing on my soaps. I Hated when they had Danny, Lauren, Gina, John & Amy singing back in the day. I know us "young'ns" were supposed to be enthralled by Danny's concerts, but I wasn't. I was more interested in Lauren making fat jokes to Traci instead. The only time I was ever enthralled with singing on my "stories" was when a then-unknown Lauryn Hill was playing Kyra on ATWT back in the day. It didn't seemed staged at all when I think Jessica Griffin or somebody overheard her singing in that park. It was thrilling. It was a very organic scene and didn't seem like a showcase at all. But as far as I'm concerned, Y&R never got this right under any HW.
