GH's Nathan Parsons Reveals Who Wyndemere's Woman in White Is

Just who is the mysterious beauty in white haunting General Hospital's Wyndemere? TV Guide's Michael Logan gets to the root of it all with Nathan Parsons (Ethan).
TV Guide Magazine: Give us some deets on this Woman in White.
Parsons: Alyshia Ochse is phenomenal! She's going to be a lot of fun for the audience to watch. She's a smart, impulsive actress who really challenges me, even though she hasn't even said anything yet! It'll take a while for her to speak. There's been so much tension building with this story. Ethan's been chasing this mystery being — they've been running circles around each other forever — and she is not what he expected. It's not going to be a traditional soap romance and I love that. [Laughs] They won't be courting or going on dates. It's very Wuthering Heights, the kind of epic, fantastical mystery GH hasn't done in years. I just love the larger-than-life scope of it. When Ethan and the Woman finally meet it's all shock and awe. He is obsessed with her, though he's not even sure she's real.
Lord have mercy, another Wuthering Heights rip-off. To find out about Parsons' contact expiring in 2012 click here!

I, for one, enjoy NP, as both actor and character, despite the "misfiring"
that is his "birth" and the "non-romances" that have come his way. I'm hoping he signs, if nothing else, a contract extension to finish up the run of the show. The kid has the chops and I'll be glad to follow his career after GH...

Oh boy! Ethan's going to be macking it with a mute woman in a white nightgown who may or may not exist! That'll sure pick the ratings up!

Is there hope that Helena is messing with Ethan??? Otherwise I don't really see the sense in this storyline other than telling yet another dark story that drives the character involved in crazy. Lucky sleeping at an Irish cemetery is already enough for me...

Since when is a conman and Luke clone a gothic or heathcliff like character. Good lord I wish this mouth of marbles would leave with his crying brother. Seriously I never was a huge Nikolas fan but Stefan was the epitome of gothic and Nikolas fit that mold more in his earlier years when he wasn't turned into some sex obsessed pig. This character stays yet fans are on the verge of likely losing the last surviving beloved female character on this show. Says a lot about how this show just continues to crap on fans and its legacy. And he sounds just as entitled as Tony Geary does.

Have these people ever read Wuthering Heights? Actually, I wish they would read it so they can learn what good writing looks like.

I didn't like Ethan when he first came on, his introduction to the canvas fell incredibly flat to me, and that horrible Rebecca story did nothing to help him out. It was nothing like the beautiful minefield of a story that happened back when Laura's reveal of Nicolas being her son happened. Then he started being great friends/working with Johnny and started a friendship with Kristina, and my opinion of him changed greatly. Now we have LA being fired to be replaced with a "older" looking "actress", and yet another "Spencer" involved in Cassadine hijinks when the great Cassadines (Stefan, Nicolas, and Helena for the most part) are no longer presently on canvas. One more thing, why should the viewers invest in a story when NP's already talking about leaving after his contract ends?

I love how writers quote Wuthering Heights though as some epic love story. It was a fantastic book but not the epic love story Jane Eyre or Pride and Prejudice were. Cathy and Heathcliff for the most part were both putrid self absorbed sadistic characters that both obsessed over each other to the point of death.

Jphelps, I agree, NP sounds just like TG. He has trained NP well. To me, this is just another storyline that has no basis in character. Who is Ethan? I guess is depends on the writers whim because the character changes every 6 months. I wish he was a Scorpio. Finding out that Robert was his father (and Robin his sister) while being sad that Luke wasn't his father (and Lucky & Lulu weren't his siblings), would have given the character more depth if they were brave enough to tell it. But apparently it looks like keeping TG happy is more important than acknowledging history or telling a storyline that makes sense. I'll skip this upcoming storyline. Zzz.

Keeping TG happy is running this show into the ground. Him not having story is a joke. Every time I try to get thru an epy, there is Ethan. I think he is on ALL the time. I am not someone who has the appearance stats but to me he is on all the time. He does sound entitled. Just sayin.....

NP is the one who made the Wuthering Heights reference in this case, not the writers. I suppose it's part of his job to sell the story, but it's kind of misleading to say "this will be a lot of fun for the audience to watch". Nothing on GH has been fun to watch for a long time now. Why should this story be any different?
