Kelly Ripa Inks 5-Year Deal With "Live!"

The hardest working mom in daytime television just keeps on working. Deadline is reporting Kelly Ripa just re-signed a new contract with Disney-ABC Domestic Television for five years. Once Ripa's current deal ends, her new one will start fall 2012. This news comes a week and a half before Ripa's co-host Regis Philbin departs the show on Nov. 18.

I love Kelly but will this show make it without Reege? My grandmother isn't going to be watching for just Kelly, they're going to have to bring on some bon vivant to entertain her with his NYC exploits like Regis has over the years!

I can't stand Kelly. Never liked her as a replacement for Kathy Lee.
