Was Brandon Buddy sick? A faux Cole will seem very odd to close the show. Doesn't production end in two weeks?

I love this show and the TPTB trying to give everyone a great and fitting ending. Its too bad he couldn't continue. I don't even think Cole is needed at all if it isn't Brandon Buddy, but at least they tried. I would scrap the idea completely if I were them, unless Marty is coming back.

I think the same reason he was let go in the first place is the same reason he can't continue. I think he has issues either with drugs or alcohol and this was probably his second chance and he blew it. I could be wrong, but this doesn't look good.

This is so disappointing. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Brandon Buddy, and I was gutted when he left the show. Now I have little reason to watch Starr storylines for the finale.

If Brandon is 'sick' again, I hope he gets well, and I wish him all the best!

Dueler312, why do you doubt this? It has been stated off the record by more than a number of credible sources. All you have to do is look at the pictures of the dude now and see how he's completely changed from his early days on the show. I hope he gets the help he needs. And, its a damn shame that the daytime press still covers this shit up. All that bullshit about them having a right to keep this stuff a secret is baloney in my view.

Maybe because he's the one that left. Trust me, if they let him go because of Drugs and Alcohol, we would of known for sure. They won't keep something like that quiet, like with the first Michael McBain.

Interesting take. The original Mike McBain was arrested though. So they had to disclose what was going on. He had gotten into an altercation near CBS Broadcast Center. I certainly don't want to speculate on Brandon's condition, but from what I've read elsewhere he had a substance abuse issue which is why he left the show. The spin was that he quit, but the truth was he couldn't handle his work, i.e., was not able to deliver his lines without several retakes.

Yeah, I don't see them trying to put a spin on something like that. And besides, Brandon did a story about susbtance abuse, the drug storyline. So I don't think he would do something like that.

Like I said though. Best to just wait for more info if there is and not speculate.

I'm not going to believe any rumors or so-called sources. Especially without any proof.
