Shame on OLTL for not giving fans what they want! I wanted the soap saved but don't care if they don't want to give fans the people they want to see. They are just like Disney. PP=Disney.

This would make me want to tune in again to OLTL if Dorian is having one last time with Vikki before leaving television...is a blow.

Not entirely sure it's good to put all the blame on Prospect Park. We don't know what exactly went down. Only that Robin Strasser is apparently done trying and seems excited about moving on.

It's still sad ... but I'm not really surprised since she pretty much made it known that she wasn't happy with her character under Ron and Frank.

PP did not make her an offer. If Ron and Frank were so micro-managed by Frons, you'd think they would jump at the opportunity to give the actress better material since Frons was blamed for all evil. She did get crappy stories. To me, it seems PP = Disney and Frons is not around to blame anymore. This is a legacy character and iconic soap actress who fans have said they would very much like to see on the show. I know that everyone can't come to PP but Dorian as played by Strasser is a HUGE part of what made the show last for all these years. After fans fought hard to keep the show on the air following cancellation, this is how PP, Frank and Ron thank them! Boo!

THIS!!! This is unacceptable! Unacceptable! No Dorian, no yang to Viki's yin. I am disinterested in OLTL's future. Plain and simple. Dorian's presence, elan, sophistication, and mischievous, never-say-die attitude made this show for me. I have endured Fords, Stacy, Gigi and Rex, Jessica and Natalie, beavers, nuJack, and more just to get breadcrumbs when it came to Dorian's storylines and appearances. How OLTL could let this iconic character go is mind-boggling. I know how much everyone likes this show on this site, but without Dorian, I am done with OLTL.

Actually this is NOT news because she tweeted MONTHS ago that she was leaving OLTL for good because she has a bad back and is having back surgery and NOT coming back.

Rebecca that is old news. She has said that she is open to a return and feeling much better with her health. She wants to go back to work. The FANS want her back but FANS don't count with Prospect Park, apparently. THAT is what I get out of this move from Prospect Park. They want the loyal viewers, just enough to launch their online vision, but they will not give us the show that we want. Clearly.

Are they maybe recasting her with Elaine Princi? Don't get me wrong, I love Robin Strasser x forever as Dorian but was money an issue?

No money was not an issue since they never made her an offer. I was hopeful about this ventue but now I am extremely disappointed and no longer think they have the viewers at heart.

So does that mean PP AMC will also be in NYC???

It was Robin Strasssr that made me, invited me to start watching OLTL. I was in grade school and she was arguing with Herb and he said, "stop treating me like a prostitute" she replied, "stop acting like one." --or something like that. I thought she was fabulous then as now.

Ms Strasser and her charisma, style, and great acting chops enthralled me as a little girl. I watched this show for her. I am very grateful for all the years of great entertainment. I think it is incredibly short-sighted not to have the definitive and best Dorian Lord on OLTL. This is not 1989 nor is a recast necessary when the best is and was available. Robin Strasser is important to fans, to other character's on the show, and to the fabric of Llanview. It is her chemistry with ES that made Viki and Dorian so damn memorable. It is RS and her great rapport with the Cramer women that made that family work.

ANYONE who has truly followed her tweets, interviews, podcasts she has participated in KNOWS how devastated she was by the cancellation, how happy she was that a second life for the show was found--and thus the fans, crew, etc. would still have their Llanview home. While she has battled her back pain and ecoli poisoning, she has made it abundantly clear she wanted to come home to play Dorian. The producer, writer, and Prospect Park rejected her. No one in their right mind is going to sit by the phone waiting for a call that isn't coming.

Sadly, the so-named "dynamic duo" have failed to even invite this woman ---who is very much responsible for the popularity and success of this soap as any of the other performers still with the show and returning soon-- to be a part of the television finale. Tuc Watkins is back taping this week, but no Robin. As a fan I am insulted and realize they are not interested in this viewer coming to their party.

I am guessing Prospect Park never made her an offer. I hate to think this, but maybe ABC-Disney may have some stake in Prospect Park still as a stipulation of the licensing. Really sad that Dorian is gone from Llanview now, and may not return to Llanview when the show picks up online.

Wouldn't it be hot though if she joined All My Children as Vanessa Cortlandt? Who knows, maybe things could change for her and Prospect Park once everything comes together?

I'm hesistant to write this, but no one else has and it's how I feel.

Ms. Strasser has slammed the show repeatedly in the press the last couple of years as well as on her hotline. While I agree that she's really good in the role and would be an asset onscreen to the show, PP may feel that she's not worth the headache. She's always come across to me much like her character - an overentitled diva. Sometimes you have to know when it's best to keep your mouth shut. She never seemed to learn that.

Sorry not sure where your are getting that she's slammed the show repeatedly. She is one of the show's biggest cheerleaders. Her comments are specific to the writing for her character, which has been crappy for years. Asking for better writing is something many a performer have requested without being accused of slamming the show. Fans have asked for no less. No--this amounts to Prospect Park saying FU to the fans who have been clear about who they want to watch on a show fans fought to save.

RS is a diva and she owns that proudly. She was great as Dorian and Im sure down the road a return is possible. RS seems so happy about LA & Does not want a pity party but a pool party she even tweeted that.

I dunno why she wasnt offered a deal. Maybe she was but it wasnt what she wanted. Maybe the offer was informal but not formal.

Back to the Diva stuff it is well known that she still shows out on set. Her & Kim Zimmer raised a stink about the Dorian kidnapping. Look in this day and age if U agree to play a role, U perform it as written, No showing out. This is 2011 not 1983 and Daily Drama has no time for that foolishness

Strasser could go to Days as a recast Angelica Deveraux who was married to Jack's adopted father, Harper. Angelica later had an affair with Justin Kirakis and then gave birth to his son, Alex who Angelica later Kidnapped. She left town in 1991.

Shelley Taylor Morgan briefly took over in 1989 before Judith Chapman became Angelica. Chapman left in 1991.

Excuse me--but I have to respectfully offer my opinion in response Appleridge. So the FANS don't get to see a character they want to watch? Strasser performed those scenes and KZ is still playing Echo--who is most important to the HISTORY of the show of the two performers? The show is going off the air on the network. It is STRASSER who the fans want to see as Dorian. It is awfully petty not to allow fans to see this actress in the role as the show goes to a close. Maybe FV is really CG at ATWT in disguise since Goutman refused to allow MB to return even though it was clearly what the AUDIENCE--remember them--wanted. Thumbs DOWN to Propect Park.

She, Vicki and Bo are the cornerstones of that show...period. OLTL will have a gaping hole in its canvas without her!

I have no idea why RS was not offered a contract at PP, I just hope OLTL does not start hiring folks like the Fudd brothers!

I love Robin and love Dorian and I wish she could return to OLTL someday soon. I agree with Plum that it was not a good idea to trash Ron and Frank's stories. It's just too bad it's like this. Plus if she wanted to move west then it works out for her.

I agree with those who say there will be a gaping hole in the show. I also agree that it's petty and very small minded not to allow this performer on the show when it is something the fans want to see before the show goes off the air on ABC.

What still gives me hope is Robin's personality is stilled used in the show's opening credits and those have been updated...(though so does Langston)...Also...wasn't there sort of a mystery surrounding Dorian when she left town that Irene Manning repeatedly asked for her when she arrested. What was that all about? I thought Victor Lord's murder was going to be investigated again and that Dorian may have had something to do with it.

I don't see the point in bringing Erika Slezak back to OLTL without Robin Strasser. Sorry. I know she's an icon and the face of the show, but REALLY?! Sad. I just lost a lot of faith in OLTL and PP. I hope it succeeds, but not sure if I really care much anymore.

Appleridge - I would hold out for Jane Elliott if I was DAYS. She's good friends with Deidre Hall so that is a major possibility. I assume she'll be written out at GH soon so I want her playing HER role.

I would LOVE Robin Strasser there as someone else though. Really anyone. What an actress!

Robin could play Dr. Christina Karras on ALL MY CHILDREN, a part she did create.

I guess I read this differently. I understood it as she was moving to LA; that OLTL is definitely moving, and so is she. "It's DEF! moving to LA soon. NO "prospect" in NY, so I'm heading West:)" Please clear this up if I'm wrong.

While I LOVE, Robin Strasser as Dorian if it's her choice to not continue with OLTL online, then why not recast. The Viki/Dorian relationship is to valuable to the show. Colleen Zenk would be an ideal recast!

Robin Strasser needs to be a part of the online version of OLTL, PERIOD! They need to make it happen and we as fans neet to write to Frank V and Prospect Park or whoever.

Days should bring on Robin as the matriarch of a crime family that would rival the Dimera's and kiriakis' for a couple of months.

Or have her and Victor have a relationship (not really into Maggie and Victor).

She could kick ass if they wrote to her talent.

Lets remember that a few months ago everyone was lamenting the demise of OLTL. The show has been "saved" and now you want to nail PP to the cross next to Brian Frons. You cant have everything. Ive been viewing OLTL since As The World Turns stopped, I personally found Dorian to be more or less annoying. Maybe we should wait and see what happens and who from teh cast is going to remain. Lets here both sides before we condemn the guys who saved our show!
