Fiona Hutchison Returns to One Life To Live!
One Life to Live is pulling out all the stops before it goes off ABC's airwaves. Fiona Hutchison announced on Facebook last night, that she will reprise her role as vixen Gabrielle Medina. Huchison stated:
Brace yourselves, I have some wonderful news to share with all of you. I am returning to One Life to Live as Gabrielle. I have two shooting dates. Keep in mind, these are not air dates, but shooting dates. The first shoot date is Tuesday, October 25th; the second shoot date is Tuesday November 15th. If you happen to be in New York City {DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OUT AND FLY IN, I'M SERIOUS!} please, by all means, feel free to stop by the ABC Studios and chat. Obviously, for fire safety reasons as well as security reasons, I cannot bring any of you into the studio. But I do take breaks and I will be sure to slip away as much as I can to come out and 'hang' with my 'posse' {Bridget thinks it's hilarious and always dares me to say 'posse'}. I Have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what they have in store for Gabrielle. She is dead but with daytime, who knows? I swear I would tell ALL of you if I knew what was going to happen. I have no script as of yet.

THIS is awesome. No idea what she will be doing, but it will be great to see her. What a powerhouse actress...Is she going to appear to Max or Bo? She's definitely not alive, no reason for that. But I wouldn't mind it if she was.

Gabrielle was fun to watch. It's a testament to Fiona's talent (and good writing) that even when you hated the character's manipulative ways you completely understood her motivations and often ended up sympathizing with her.

Yes!!! Next to Tina, Gabrielle was my favorite. And Max & Gabrielle were my couple. It will be fun to see her on the show even if she's just a ghost. FH still has great hair.

Tina was the character that got me hook onto OLTL but I stayed for Gabrielle (and Megan). I love Gabrielle and hated that she was killed off. Hopefully, Max will make a return as well.

So glad that Fiona and Gabriella are coming back to OLTL!!! It's too bad she'll probably be a spirit again i'm sure. I wish they would find a way to bring her back from the dead, and at least take her to Prospect Park along with Tina, Cord, Dorian, etc.
If AMC can bring characters back from the dead towards the end then why not OLTL? Why not right some wrongs??? And have Victor come back, Todd's mother could have done that to frame him.
And Nelson Branco says a male character is returning to OLTL, sounds like it could be Max. Interesting timing.

Maybe she will be Gabrielle's sister that we didn't know about. I sure love Fiona H. and I miss her on OLTL. I started watching the show back then when Tina, Cord, Gabrielle, and Max were first popular. The soaps don't come up with great characters like this anymore.

It makes me sad that the soaps killed off all these great characters back in the day. I blame some of these past writers for doing that. I don't think it was needed. Just have the characters leave town this way they can always come back if needed. They did the same thing when they killed Megan. They just shouldn't do that to these great characters.

They never should have gotten rid of an enormous talent like Fiona in the first place. I put her in the same caliber as Erika Slezak, Robin Strasser and Hillary B. Smith. She's fabulous and I have loved her since 1993 when I first spotted her on GL. In fact, she was one of the first characters/actors from that show that I fell in love with. They need to rewrite history and bring Gabrielle back from the dead for GOOD.

That's one thing they need to institute with online: fo not kill characters off. They really need to build up what "death" means in soaps again, especially AMC. I don't mind deaths where the body isn't discovered or "deaths" that actually show the character alive (a la Tad). Onscreen deaths (via serial killers or pancakes) that result in miraculous returns later on are a joke. It's a soap cliche that needs to stay dead.

I agree that the ptb need to un-kill Gabrielle. Her axing and Stefan's on GH were the two soap deaths that MOST infuriated me. And the way they ended the run of such a richly-developed dynamo character like Gabrielle was shameful and disrespectful...Wasn't she left strangled in a bathroom stall?? Horrible! Fiona also said in her facebook post for her fans to let Prospect Park know if they want Gabrielle back on screen. I always thought a way they could bring her back is say they had her secretely transfered out of the country to recover from her attack and keep her safe, a la what they did with Flash/Sarah on the show...

Yay! I loved Gabrielle (as well as FH's Jenna on GL). Not only did I hate it when they killed her off, but I especially hated when they had Gabrielle donate an organ to Al, only for him to die. It was so cruel. Al was the most important thing in her life. To make her feel as though she failed to save him was just heartless.

Didnt really like her character much, but she was the best crier on TV I've ever seen. The mascara lines would run all the way down her face onto her neck. Good stuff, lol.
