Hunky New Doc Heads to General Hospital!

A sexy Australian is heading to Port Charles, and I'm not talking about Ingo Rademacher or Nathan Parsons. General Hospital has signed Nathin Butler, in the role of therapist Dr. Ewan Keenan. Butler made the announcement last week via Twitter stating:

I was welcomed into the family of GH today. 1st day on set felt like 1st day of high school. Feel so blessed. Getting into tip-top shape for shirtless beach scene this week. Look out! ;).

No word on when the actor makes his debut on the sudser. However, Butler did let a follower know what viewers can expect when his first episode airs:

Started last week. Felt pretty special! Moonlit beach scenes this week. Dreamy character intro.

He does look yummy. And I do miss the days of GH when every other character seemed to have a sexy accent. That being said, GH currently has many actors who are attractive and talented. Unfortunately, they are given crap to act.

Here's hoping this new actor and the rest of the cast get something to work with.

Please, please, please let him NOT be involved with the mob.

I read he is going to be Lulu's therapist and angst for Lante.I also read that he is going to know about Steve's secret past and is interested in Liz.

I second mipeony in hoping they keep him out of the mob scene. Enough already. As for my "D&L", if he's involved with them, keep it realistic and interesting, (I know that's a stretch, writers). Angst, when done well, is it's own challenge... Innocent

He's cute, but doesn't GH already have enough handsome, 20-something, dark-haired men??? And if they need a nurse, why not page Bobbie Spencer?

He's very handsome, and I agree keep him out of the mob, please. I've read both that he's going to be Lulu's therapist and will be interested in Liz, we'll see.

Oh yeah he looks good which is nice for GH they need some hot docs eg the adorable Matt Hunter has been around for years

the thing is how (and if) he will get some writing I mean after the initial introduction they usually drop the pen.

Hello, Gorgeous! I may need to start watching General Hospital. And that is the one daytime serial I have been able to resist in my 35 years of watching my daytime stories. Smile

"General Hospital" is sorely lacking in hot men (Jason and his spare tire don't count).

Really? LuLu is going to fall in love with another "love of her life"??? REALLY? This character is a joke if ever there was one.

After the introduction of the new female cop, I don't hold out that they can write any character with an IQ above 70. I long for the multi-layered scenes when Dr. Kevin Collins would be providing his brand of therapy to the citizens of Port Charles. It was over the top soap opera to be sure, but it was wonderfully insightful and incredibly entertaining. A psychological aspect, even dime store pop psychology, would be refreshing. But unfortunately any psychological examination of any of the major players on the canvas leaves the viewer to scratch her/his head in disbelief. Cops don't let mobster's body guards take over crime scenes. Professional business women, one right after the other, don't line up to be impregnated and endangered by serial killers. Doctors don't go over to mobsters for relationship advice. Nurses know what birth control is, some even use it. I'll hold out hope for this character. Clearly the citizens of Port Charles need someone to make them look at their choices (and clearly ABC needs to look at theirs for continuing to dumb down this show).

THats because this show has been dumbed down. You know how boring that psychoanalytical stuff is on a soap none of us are interested in seeing it. ALl you have to do is watch The Chew for 5 minutes and you can see the opinion ABC has of the daytime audience. Of course why bother with any of this when you can shoot, blow something up, or have a bunch of crazy lunatic serial killers running around lose on canvas because thats faster paced and more interesting.

Since most of the characters seem deranged I hope he's a mental health therapist.
Is Carly going to go after him, too?

A lot of Aussie's do not use the accent. There are many in primetime. Seems like many are making lucrative deals here. I personally do not like accents on daytime. Never have.

GH does need a mental specialist. I got a laugh out of those comments. Hey it is true.

The show gets worse every day. Hope the actor can act.

Not sure what Jason you've been watching, but that shirtless scene last weekend put all the naysayers to rest. Steve Burton should have a cover for one of those Muscle & Fitness mags. Frankly, they should toss a coin to see who goes first, Steve Burton or Sean Blakemore.

About LooLoo, I have to agree with you.

Wow, he's so hot!!! As far as the accent goes, I hope he gets to keep it. Accents can be VERY sexy in my book. Tristan Rogers, Ian Buchanan, Finola Hughes, or Murray Bartlett, anyone??

I also hope his character isn't involved in the mob. We don't need anymore of the mob. That's one of the things that's ruined GH.
