Great stuff! Julie Curruthers must be lookin pretty bad in the eyes of PP. That show is off the air and is in such a mess. You'd think they would deal with them first. Glad they know to secure OLTL first. Jerry VerDorn- another one is ride of die!

Ugh. Either PP needs to hire an acting coach stat or they need to RECAST Jack Manning! I do not think I can take it for much longer. Kid seems nice enough, but nice does not equal "actor".

PLEASE! I love that kid that plays Jack Manning! The actor is just as cute as he can be. He just somehow reminds me of a young, bullying Todd. And sorry, but his acting is no worse than that girl that plays Danielle. God, she is so loud! When she is supposed to be upset or in an argument, I turn down the sound on my TV, just so I won't burst an eardrum. And the only other actress that is that loud, to me, is Allison Sweeney on Days.

Now, get Roger Howarth to sign on, and OLTL will really be set.

All I can say is yeah , just get that kid who plays Jack an acting coach, please.

I hate to tell you all, but Andrew Trischitta is here to stay. He has a huge tweeny fanbase, apparently. Have you seen the demos? OLTL is over twice as watched as the next soap in Girls 12-17, and I think AT is part of the reason. Since those girls are web-savvy and probably already watch stuff on the web, PP was bound to sign him. Now sign Princess David Vickers to a contract, PP!

I hope they can Andrew Trischitta acting coach with The Two months they have off I wonder if they will recast Jessica or will Willamson sign on to continue I am Ron is staying with out Fronzie bugging may be the guy can write a good story I hope they can get Tea and RH to continue as well.

I'm giving a big hurray for Ron C. & all the OLTL actors who have signed up so far--Hurray!

Andrew Trischitta is a VERY attractive young man, but he is one of those people who are better off SEEN and not HEARD. Give him a modeling contract, but he seriously needs to be shown the door. And the fact that he has a huge tween/teenage following should not be enough to justify keeping him on the show. At the end of the day, you've either GOT the goods to cut it as an actor or you don't......and he doesn't. Simple as that.

And Kelley Missal is a GREAT young actress. So what if she yells while delivering her lines? She's got the goods and I think she's got what it takes to be the next Sarah Brown or Heather Tom.

I agree that Kelley Missal is in a totally different category than Trischetta. She's done great with some difficult material, including kissing Old Man Nate.

Well I meant that Jerry has been in the soap game since before half of us were born. He is going to ride out the soap wave for as long as he can. I think it's great. He will always be Ross Marler to me.

YES! News of Andrew T. signing on is fantastic. That guy gets a bad rap. He started off really weak on the show, trying to find his footing and was like a fish out of water.

But since then, especially in the last month, he has done an incredible job of portraying the young teen jerk with a great quality. He actually makes Jack endearing while still being a character who's neck you want to get your hands around. And yes, it doesn't hurt that he is cute in all american way as well.

So glad he is staying!

Yay for JVD! Llanview needs Queen Victoria and Clint (formerly cowboy, but more slick Asa Jr. now). Also, I'm interested in seeing how Ron C./Frank V. function without Frons hovering over them.

When ATWT got canceled--I decided to switch to OLTL and support the last NYC soap. I used to watch OLTL in college (late 70s early 80s) and a little beyond--so I was familiar with a few characters and actors. In addition, I knew some of the actors from GL. Anyway, I was so down after ATWT went off the air--but OLTL really kind of helped me deal with it all. It only took me about a month and I was completely sucked in and loving it!!

So delighted to hear that Ron C is staying. Thrilled about Jerry VerDorn! I love him as Clint! I don't even think of him as Ross so much anymore

IA--the young actor who plays Jack desperately needs acting lessons. He is adorable--but he doesn't cut it yet. But, I can live with it as long as the vets return and some others!

Question--Is Robin S coming back?

Excellent OLTL News!!! So excited about the possibilities (story wise, and more!) for OLTL away from ABC, and with this wonderful team still at the helm. And THRILLED to see actors continuing!!

But, what's with all the negativity I see posted about the Ford characters?!? I've watched a bit of just about every soap on the air, and ALL THREE of those guys are pretty damn good! In addition to being the "eye candy" that they all are (and that is necessary for daytime) they all hold their own very well in scenes with some of the show's most formidable vets,(for example, remember the recent scenes with Nate and Nora, when she discovered he was responsible for Mathhew's injury?...Lenny Platt was quite good!). They are all routinely very engaging, natural and charimatic to watch.. I really do not get what people are so upset about with these three.

Try tuning in to see those poor children on DOOL try to act through an episode (it's PAINFUL to watch), and you will be singing a WAY different tune about the Ford boys. Even take a look at our own show and watch poor Andrew T. in scenes...(though he is getting a little better, and a lot can be blamed on how the character is written to be so annoying).

I'm a long time viewer and a tough critic.. And I sincerely hope to see all three of those young actors make the leap to Prospect Park's OLTL!

I had heard about MA and JVD, glad to see it's been confirmed, I love both!!!! AT... whatcha gonna do, LOL. Very handsome boy, get him in some acting classes, NOW! I like Kelly Missal, but I was just never keen on Dani until recently.

Now, RC... I dont blame him for not going to GH, it's dead in the water, the only thing keeping it afloat now is that the news about it being done haven't hit the airwaves yet, but we know it's only a matter of time. Plus, I pretty much assumed that when DK signed on for GH, that RC was probably sticking with OLTL. Now, if he keeps writing my Blair with the fire in her bones that she's been showing recently, going back to her roots as the badass beeyotch I knew and loved for years, we'll be cool. I have to hope with them wanting KDP, that they have high hopes for Blair, that don't include propping other characters.

You're making a lot of assumptions. Those girls could be more into watching Destiny, Dani, Starr, Nate, and James.

I'm sure that Andrew T. is a nice guy but he's a terrible actor. He's wooden. There are a lot of handsome and good actors out there.

However, when jumping to a new platform, cast stability is crucial. It makes sense for PP to keep as many familiar faces on hand as possible.

It was inevitable for Ron C. to sign with PP. What choice did he really have? Go from head writer making a $1 mil a year to script writer on a show that is on shaky ground? Why? Going to PP gives him a chance to make a name for himself outside daytime. He'll have more freedom in his storytelling since he won't have broadcast censor rules.

That said, I do hope that Jeanne Passante sticks around OLTL. She seems to have been an anchor, keeping the show from some of Ron's worst tendencies--think the horror that was post-purge OLTL.

I know Andrew T. has a lot of detractors, but I think he's improved tremendously since he first started. His scenes this past week, IMO, have been rather good. What I find hard to deal with much of the time is how nasty the character is always written. He has been a complete ***hole since Jack was aged, to the point that he rarely has any redeeming qualities.

I'm thrilled with the news that Ron Carlivati is staying with OLTL. I would love to see Ilene Kristin, Robin Strasser, TSJ, RH, Robert S Woods, Hillary B Smith, Kristen and Eddie Alderson, and Bree Williamson sign on, as well.
