Oprah and Rosie Share O Magazine Cover

Rosie O’Donnell’s returns to TV on October 10, when her new talk show The Rosie Show kicks off and hopefully helps boost OWN’s less than impressive ratings.  In an interview with O Magazine, O’Donnell talks about her divorce, her time on The View and her very public feud with Donald Trump, Zap2it reports.

Will you be watching The Rosie Show? Check out clip from Rosie's first day on the job after the jump!

Seems to me like Oprah should have invested in the soaps or should at least be the network in contention for re-airing, maybe during pre-primitme hours. I have heard no buzz for the OWN channel at all this summer. It is so under the radar.

I'm on the fence with Rosie. I generally like her, but I listened to her Sirius show and she can get grating in large doses.

No. She was too treacly on her first show and too abrasive on The View.

I like Rosie and always have.. She should have stayed on "The View" instead of that pathetic Elizabeth Hasslebitch. Elizabeth needs to retire from the show and go back to doing what she does best---popping out babies. But I haven't seen ANYTHING from Oprah's new network, and I don't feel any strong inclination to start watching now. I am simply waiting for mainstream society to wake up and realize that Oprah Winfey ain't God. She didn't create the sun, moon, stars or anything else..........

Until she starts paying MY bills, I won't be kissing her ass.

OWN is getting desperate to give Rosie her own show (again). Rosie is a has-been, does anyone even care about her anymore? She's a crude, class-less, foul-mouthed woman who is a blithering idiot! She bought "her children", pure-and-simple. She a gun-control fanatic, yet she thinks it is okay for HER bodyguards to carry guns in order to protect HER children, yet NO ONE ELSE has the right to own a gun in order to protect THEIR families. That is a typical extreme-liberal attitude, of course - sheer hypocrisy. My dislike for Rosie has NOTHING to do with her being a lesbian, the fact that I'm a gay male myself should be a reasonably good indication that I am not homophobic!

As far as Rosie should have remained on The View instead of Elisabeth Hasselbeck, I can agree with that only because Rosie would fit in better than Elisabeth does - Elisabeth is too good to be associated with that bunch of shrill women.

Alstonboy,

It's so refreshing to see someone else be so frank about "Saint Oprah". I join you in eagerly awaiting that day of awakening. Smile

You know Oprah used to be cool and then she just got too opinionated on EVERYTHING and EVERYONE, except celebrities in the favorable light whom she adores. She's not as objective as she used to be when it comes to the common person...she's too superior. She has done a lot of "good things" in the public eye but she's no less shrewd than any other journalist/personality in a competative field. I don't wish her immediate success on OWN, I hope the experience humbles her so we aren't stuck with the total egOist she is today...I will never forget her display the time she told Viola Davis on her playing the role of Mrs. Miller in the movie DOUBT, a role Oprah lobbied for, "'Really, the person who deserved it most got this role.’" Really you think? Considering Ms. Davis is a trained stage actress and had to probably audition with several other actresses vs. you expecting to walk in using the prestige of your name with a few acting credits behind it as well as several other "connections"? Anybody know if she tried to get in on The Help? Or was that too much of an independent film for her?

I too am not a fan of Oprah and I am glad to see others share that opinion. I really don't think she is that great an interviewer. I don't come away from a celeb interview thinking, wow she got something out of them that no one else has. It's just very generic.

LMAO.. So true. Yes, Oprah needs to be 'humbled'. She's too full of herself at the moment. She needs to get real and stop kissing Hollywood butt. Yes Oprah, there is an America outside of Tinseltown.
