Crime Fighter: Rebeka Montoya Joins General Hospital

It looks like one of soap’s most incompetent police departments is about to get a little backup. According to Soap Opera Network, General Hospital has cast Rebeka Montoya as Delores Padilla; a recurring character who “will be working heavily with PCPD’s finest in solving the crimes of Port Charles.”
I’m not sure how another body is going to help solve Port Charles’ crime infestation–when Mac (John J. York), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) and countless detectives, officers and DA’s before them have pretty much failed–but it can’t hurt can it?
Reportedly, Montoya's first episode airs September 27.

Honestly don't see how difficult it will be for her to prime "PCPD's finest" as the "finest" combined seem to have the IQ of my dog and the lethargy of my potato couch Uncle...

Why do they need ANOTHER new character? If they want to show more of the police department, most of us would rather see more of Mac, as opposed to this new chick, who is certainly lovely, but seemingly unnecessary. I hope she can at least act.............

No, six months from now she'll be ordering Dante (who I feel would respond well to being subordinated) to get her coffee, take her uniforms to the dry cleaners, spit shine her shoes, keep her desk in order, and get her lunch. He'll be only too happy to cut the crust off her sandwhiches, after she yells at him for gettintg her order mixed up. With a quick glance, I had the thought that she resembles Andrea Bogart, who plays Abby. Gee whiz...first a new Kate(which I'm not thrilled about and very wary of) and even though I knew they had the casting call out for this character, I'm thinking, "Why? With budgets as tight as they are (supposedly), who's leaving that they can afford another new cast member?" I guess it's wait and see...

I would love it if she were an honest cop...MY STARS a woman at that. Please, jesus...JJ didn't get me to come back...thought that he would. They're doing a number on my girl Liz...per the usual. Yeah, Garin's a the helm, but I still find myself watching some scenes online after reading Perkie's recaps...so not how I wanted it to be, but there you have it.
I would love for this chick to come to PC look Sonny in the eye and spit in it. (Does he really need another female to drive crazy?)Drive a dirt bike through both them dimples! (they're a trap...don't look at 'em! don't look at 'em!) And be a cop, if that who her charater is, have her actual BE a cop...maybe the only one besides Mac who isn't bending over for Sonny and Jason. I would love her to show the menz how it's done (wishful thinking I know)....and if she makes Lulu's head pop off her neck...all for it.

hey if she cleans up the lame PCPD send her to Salem to fix that God awful dept. We have the keystone cops Bo and Hope and suddenly stupid big bro Roman (who used to be a very smart clever international spy/agent/bad guy getter/ undercover agent) and the totally useless Abe running the department with mayor de jur ruining whatever progress one of them might make. Not to mention ANYONE can walk into the jail and commit a crime and NOONE ever notices. Oops I made this about Days of our lives lol. But I am sure the same thing applies to the duds at PCPD because they have the mob running around them too.
