I like it was done while they are all still together so when they tape the finale soon they will know whether to say "goodbye" or "See you at Prospect Place" to their classmates and crew.

That's our Midday News here in Chicago, I saw Walt looking very handsome as always.

Fingers crossed, especially that's about the time, you reported Jamey about that great package that PP was offering them.

Jacob's going back to B&B, so he's out. Some will move on, but others will stay for the paycheck, how many former GL, ATWT, and Passions actors have you seen in the last couple of years, not many.

We'll see what happens.

Keanna,

Very true, I haven't seen any GL and ATWT alumni on much other than AMC and OLTL so now what; they should take the deals and they will also be free to do other things. I hope they mix some of the newer younger cast with the old vets.

So The Unions are in on this right because PP cant approach actors until Unions are on board right?

Yesterday WW was on ABC Channel 7 Chicago saying they had heard nothing and today he is saying they got a proposal 2 nights ago. That just seems strange to me.

In JY's recent interview (after the AMC cast meet with PP) he said the union rep. asked the cast what they should fight for. I'm surprised the unions & PP could come to aggreement within weeks.

I think they can always approach the actors, but I agree with your sentiment, appleridge. I will be amazed if the unions don't become a major sticking point.

Even January 16th seems too soon for this thing to actually get going. I feel very positive about it, but they still have to sew up contracts and actually nail down a cast before they can start laying out storyboards, write scripts, and begin filming. Can they get all that done in less than five months?

SoapArmageddon- Remember when every so often Susan Lucci would Inuendo that the show was going on? It was way before the announcement that PP took it over. Than there was some speculation as to the language Frons used on the day of cancellation. His words were AMC time on ABC is ending. I would imagine, we know half of what really went on behind closed doors. After all, the Chewable and Revolutionary were in the works for at least a year. Maybe this was also. Who knows, maybe we will never know.

I wonder if the OLTL folks have also received the proposals...

I just read this week's ABC Soaps in Depth noting the Fall Previews and it hit me when AMC's was just a small blurb. I wonder if they (and SOD, SOW) will continue to cover AMC and OLTL, as they do now, when they make the jump online.

I saw him on Windy City Live and he said he did get something from PP but had not had a chance to review it. But he didn't make it sound like it was a contract or such(those would have to be negotiated with agents and such) more like a proposal on what PP intends to do with AMC and the soaps and the talent and that they were looking for input from the actors and writers on some of their proposed plans. Thats what I got out of it and the interview on the local ABC new channel didn't sound different than what he said yesterday. As of yesterday though he had not had a change to review it.

In regards to GL/ATWT actors not being on our screens... there's a number of them that are already online in projects like Venice.
