RUMOR REPORT: Are Bree Williamson and Alicia Minshew Exiting OLTL and AMC Before They Move to The Web?

One Life to Live could soon be minus a Jess, Bess and a Tess. Now wouldn't that just be a mess? The new issue of Soap Opera Weekly has an item marked "RUMORVILLE" that states there's buzz Bree Willliamson could be leaving the role of Jessica Buchanan once OLTL ends its television run this January.
Meanwhile, my sources are telling me All My Children star Alicia Minshew (Kendall) is likely to exit the popular role of Kendall Hart Slater prior to AMC making the jump online.
"Lish is leaving," says the setsider. "She's only staying until the end of the TV broadcast."
Word is Minshew is antsy to get back to the East Coast full time. The beauty's husband, restauranteur Richie Herschenfeld, is based in New York and Minshew has reportedly grown weary of commuting.
"The hard fact is, the versions of All My Children and One Life to Live we will see online could look very different," says one veteran daytime executive.
Here's hoping Prospect Park steps up their game to get at least some familiar faces to stick it out with these beloved serials!
Editor's Note: SoapZone actually first reported that Bree Williamson was leaving OLTL early, prior to the rumor appearing in SOW.

The people on AMC and OLTL have a LOT of thinking to do.
I've always wondered: what do out-of-work soap actors do to pay the bills? Some never appear on TV again so...how can they afford their mortgage, groceries, etc?

A-Crane,
Most actors probably invest at least 20 percent of their salaries in stocks and other annuities, and many probably invest in real estate and other business ventures, to ensure that they can pay their bills when they suffer job losses.

Ahh, investments! Never thought of that. I had this horrible image of Emily Harper flipping burgers because she can't get an acting gig. Thanks Alstonboy!

1) They're on 5 days a week and therefore highly addictive
2) They tell stories other tv shows and movies won't
3) They've been on for years and that kind of continuity is highly appealing to me

I am sure this is one of a trillion rumors we will hear from now until when PP announces the cast rosters for the soaps. Every actor needs to do what is best for them. However, if primetime actors are doing daytime these days, and feature film actors are doing primetime, I hope the daytime actors think about this move carefully.
I do not expect to see all my favorites from AMC and OLTL making the move to the web. I do hope, however, to see a mixture of some long running characters and some of the newer ones.
I hope AMC continues with Bianca and we all know Viki has plenty of children and hopefully one of them will go the web with OLTL. If Alicia and Bree do choose not to go to the web, I wish them well and hope their future is bright.

As mush as I love Lish & Bree, Kendall & Jessica are core characters. They can and will be recast. It really amazes me how negative some of you guys are about this Prospect Park deal. Would it had been better if they were just canceled? I bet if this does work, all you naysayers will be singing PP's praises within the next 6 months...

Some people criticize the amount of money paid to people like actors and sports figures, but their careers are much shorter than an average persons, so they have to amass as much money as they can while they can. The sad thing is that many of these people think the money is going to come in forever and they completely mismanage it. You would think Charlie Sheen has a bottomless pit of money, but he's had to sell his mansion and he still needs a job. Lindsay Lohan should easily be a millionaire, but this week, she's claiming she doesn't have enough money to pay for her court-ordered counselling. Hopefully, soap stars are a bit more pragmatic with the money they've earned.

The people on AMC and OLTL have a LOT of thinking to do.
Exactly!
I have often had the same thought. From ATWT, Roger Howarth, Terri Conn-Peck, Austin Peck, & Maura West all got other jobs. Michael Park is on Broadway.
Those are the ones I am aware of.
Too few acting jobs for too many actors these days. All of the reality crap doesn't help.
It's sad to me.

I just read on SOD that Alisha made a statement saying that she has not been approached by anyone about her status and, therefore, has never told anyone that she was leaving. Also, she never said she was tired of the comute because she lives in L.A. now and dosent comute. See how shit gets started.

I've heard the rumours about Bree being replace by Erin and *if* Alicia leaves I can't blame her, shw's a mother now and probably wants to be there for her daughter. I'd hate to see eithier actress go, but if Am and OLTL gets a good casting diractor they could make these changes work. I think Tamara Braun could make a great Kendall.

Michael E. Knight won't continue on AMC? He's been my favorite on the show for years. I think he and all the others who think there's a brighter road after AMC and OLTL, need to re-think. Times are tough and finding work might not be that easy! I say be grateful for the work, if given the opportunity to stay with the rescued soaps. I still don't believe in having to pay to watch my beloved shows because I already pay plenty for cable. I'm hoping I don't have to pay because I am on a tight budget!
