GH almost always wins best show....deservedly. this year should have been no different, given some of the best acting and storylines ever. with GH getting so few nods/wins and AMC and OLTL getting nearly ignored, it makes me wonder if GH is going to be the next on the chopping block.
If CBS was smart, they'd pick up all 3 of these awesome shows and watch how many devoted ABC viewers flock to CBS! (although I guess CBS did make their own share of bad choices recently soap-wise *sigh*)

What a joke. Best drama series should be about which soap operas had the best overall year. B&B isn't even deserving of a nomination if you look at the full body of work for 2010. They wouldn't stand a chance if the emmy system wasn't so flawed in which a bad show is rewarded for one good reel. Not deserving in the least of top show honors. B&B should've just gotten a special episode award for the homeless scenes. Nothing more and Nothing less to be honest. They have zero business winning best drama series for two episodes on skid row. All those homeless scenes was emmy baiting at it's absolute worst. B&B is the worst soap on the air and also the most boring. Most recycled stories. Most repetitive dialouge. They to the exact same tired stale crap over and over year round. Worst acting ensemble. There is only like five people on the cast who are strong consisent performers. OLTL, GH, and Y&R are far and away better soap operas on every level year round. Biggest farce ever to end maybe the last emmy telecast.

I realize this site is primarily a GH and OLTL fan site but in what world did a show deserve to win(GH) that didn't even warrant a writing nomination.
B&B is using GH's model - smart Bradley Bell. Produce a couple of emmy worthy episodes and it doesn't matter what happens the rest of the year. Thats how GH was won in the past.
And Brad Bell at least always sounds excited and grateful unlike that arrogant hag Jill Phelps.
I am glad to see B&B beat GH at their own game.

Sorry, but B&B DESERVED this award. Brad Bell is one of the better writers in soaps. The only other show I would give it to is OLTL.

You complain like a loser, you sound like a 4 year old who wanted GH to win since that is the show show on the air next to AMC......AMC IS THE WORST SHOW ON THE AIR NEXT TO GH AND GET OVER IT!...THEIR RATINGS SUCKS. DOOL has better ratings than AMC most of the year....
B&B/Y&R have great storylines and some bad storylines like other shows....
SUSAN FLANNERY been ROBBED! Laura Wright is miscasted and shouldnt even win a nomination....! the bad actress from AMC was worst.....Jonathan Jackson was good in the past, he returned with less fanfare.
GH is a joke...most of the storyline is about the Mob, where are the Quartermaine family? B&B focus on the Forresters for 25 years and they DESRVED to win BEST SHOW! about the Homeless and do have one of the best Actors/actresses on the show...NO ONE does it better than SUSAN FLANNERY!
she is the Queen of DAYTIME (4 times Emmy winner!), Heather Tom (4 times Emmy Winner!) Katherine Kelly Lang, Don Diamont, Hunter Tylo, Jack wagner, Lesley ann Down, Ally Mills, Rick Hearst, John McCook and many to names...

B&B viewer I'm not but occasionally BUT Brad Bell can write good soap at times when Brad has a driving story that I want to watch is good soap TV. Last year was "Stephanie's cancer w\homeless interweaves with the story was HIGH QUALITY of what soaps do best. I feel for Brad the most highlighted award of the night is cut off immediately, shameful.
I'm so HAPPY Y&R didn't win, because Y&R wasn't good soap last year and PLEASE HOW DID Y&R WIN BEST WRITING? Did any of these people of the academy watch the BS the fans had watch and to go through last was painful.
The Daytime Emmys is predictable and nothing more then a info commercial for product. It's a joke and now soaps which drove the Emmys the last 35 Years now the last couple of years built around "Talk" and Informative" equals boring.
Why did they not do a tribute this year for ATWT? They had talked about it, was "supposing" a tribute for AMC & OLTL next year which totally sucks!
The shift came in a big way this year, soaps was second class at the broadcast.

I thought last year B&B had a fairly good year. During the beginning of the year was the Bill/Katie taking over Forrester Creations which was some good performance on top of the Stephanie cancer storyline was good minus the Skid row stuff. I think finally B&B had a year where they actually deserved it.
