WONDERFUL news. I don't comment often but I had to for this. Here's hoping for some BALANCE, various points of view, history, and refreshed outlooks on GH. Using Leslie on GH is a good start. Let's keep this going!!

Finally, writers with some sense of history! This is great news and I will be so glad to see Monica back on the canvas. The character has been gone too long. How about a relationship for Monica? The Quartermaines should be front and center instead of the mob. Now that Monica will be coming back, are Bobbie, Felicia and Lucy Coe far behind? One can only hope.

Finally, some reason for hope for my favorite show! I knew there was a reason I will start watching again the week of July 25.

Not a huge Monica fan but this is good to see. I hope she slams Jason and Liz up and down and in and out. And no forgiving Jason this time. It was bad enough when she went back to licking his *ss after him getting her daughter murdered.

After it was announced Guza was out and Garin Wolf in and Wolf did his interview and was talking about how this summer would be "Sometimes They Come Back" Stuart Damon (Alan) did tweet "Somtimes They Come Back" so I think he is coming back. Also BW as AJ sure has been talking in the mags alot about GH so I wouldn't be surprised if he came back.

Monica could have put Alan in a hospital somewhere and not wanting people to get their hopes up about if he would live or not. In an article I read about Monica coming back it was mentioned that it would be explained where she has been. I think that is how it was phrased. I will try to find it again.

AJ: Now when AJ died we as the older posters (not age wise old but posters that have been together for a long time) were all on another board and we said how Alan could have gotten AJ away. Alan was the only one that went in to the autopsy and took care of AJ. He is a doctor and he could have given something to AJ to make it look like he was dead. and no damn PILLOW On the Floor" killed him. Wish we had some of those posts saved they were beautiful in our hate of Guza and his writing. I didn't even like BW as AJ or cared that much for Monica as she messed with my Leslie and Rick. But that was some crappy crap about AJ.

And I don't want scarey looking Bobbie back.

If they bring AJ back id like Sean Kanan personally nothing aganist BW.

What about Ric Lansing to come back? Him and Sonny had some dynamite scenes together. Ric is an excellent actor. As well as he would shake the town up again and at the same time see his daughter.

I would prefer Billy Warlock as AJ, Sean is good looking but Billy is a much better actor than he is. Plus I like the Deacon character Sean is playing on y&r. But I'm spool overjoyed that LC is coming back, I really want Alan back too but not as a ghost who shows up when his family is in trouble like John on y&r, I want him alive, and I wish Emily were alive too.

And, after she is done slamming Jason and Elizabeth up and down and in and out, Monica should be slamming Sam for every misdeed she did to her grandson, Jake, that helped lead Elizabeth to be fearful of the danger.

And, then she should pull a Gibbs and smack Jason on the back of the head for leaving Elizabeth and his son and taking Sam back.

What's good for one is good for the other. Elizabeth was publically trashed by Lucky and now its time for Sam to get what's coming to her. She's not an innocent angel in all of this.

I really don't think Monica is going to say much about it to Jason or Liz. I think she is going to be upset that she wasn't told but I think we are going to be disappointed. Jason will say why he agreed to it and Liz will explain why she didnt' want her to know but it will be dropped then. IMO.

What Monica should be the most upset about is that they told Laura and Luke and would not tell her.

I bet a pretty coin that she will "help" Jason get over his loss and move on. I, for one, am not hanging on hope that he or Liz gets a righteous smack down. Just don't see it happening I hope I am wrong but dont' think so.

As far as Sam hell yeah I want this all addressed because IMO Monica will kind of understand, Not neccessarily agree to it or not saying some thing to Sam but she may understand in a small way why Sam did what she did or why she was in the state she was in.

Monica might understand her actions a little better as she wasn't the best step mama to little Jason when Alan brought his "little bastrd" into HER home. these are Monicas words not mine. so hold off on the bashing for calling SaintJason a bastard LOL.

Yes she learned to love Jason as her own, in fact in my eyes, more so then her own son. But at first Monica was not a nice step mama and did not welcome Jason with open arms.

These are a lot of returns you folks are wanting. Where is the money for that coming from? So happy to have Monica back but I cannot see where they would be able to bring back all of the Qs

I was wondering this too. Does AMC and OLTL's money go to Prospect/ABC so would they have more money as they are not paying any of the actors, directors, writers and behind the scenes peoplefrom those two shows anymore?

or was the budget/money just not allocated to ABC after a certain date. I know our comapny where I work go by fiasco year which is not neccessarily the end of the year (Dec 31) I don't understand all of the "money aspects" of a company business

Marezi - I don't think ABC will be taking the money from AMC and OLTL and gifting it to GH. They have their new crappy talk shows to support and someone has to pay for Katie Courics next manicure. GH has a budget. They can get some cash from VM's contract and Guza probably cost more than the new writers. But, I don't believe cast returns will be anything more than short runs so basically smoke and mirrors.

If we get cast retruns for short runs I think I will be happy with that as it is a change from the same-o, same-o people we see every single day. maybe bring them in when the story dictates it for how ever long GH will be on. I know we can't go back to the golden years of Soaps but it sounds like the new direction is to at least make us viewers want to watch to see if someone might pop in and suprise us.

If I was the writers I would try to keep all the spoilers to miniums. As I think then people will turn in because they don't know what is going to happen as we did back in the 80's 90's and compared to todays internet and every one knowing ahead of time what might be on and then saying "naw, I won't watch that.

All we need is our vets back on recurring. We, the fans understand that money is tight. Plus, I'm pretty sure that they're saving a pretty penny since axing Guza. Plus, with Phelps being swapped for Valentini soon, that's even more money to get our faves back. I'll take Lucy, Kevin, Monica, Bobbie, Alan, & Felicia back on recurring, as long as we see them about once or twice a week. A lil can go a long way...

Hopefully this is the first of many Quartermaine returns. It's good to know that GH now has a headwriter who knows what the fans want, likes the Quartermaines, and has respect for the veterans.

With Jax leaving, why can't he leave his share of Crimson to Lucy Coe? Kevin Collins could turn out to be Sam's father (Alexis could've thought she slept with his twin, Ryan Chamberlain). Alan returning as either Tracy's conscious or comatose because of Edward faking his death would be good. Carly needs Bobbie as her positive female sounding board, and Luke needs a swift kick in the ass. Felicia needs to return to cause angst for Alexis & Mac, plus she & Maxie need to mend fences...
