I used to enjoy Guza's writing up until last year.........Lately, he's been writing 90% garbage. Maybe now this show will become more balanced in terms of its writing and start focusing on the characters who are TRULY interesting.

WHAT???????? I don't know what to think about this......

The phrase "Be careful what you wish for" comes to mind...

Congratulations to Gavin Wolf (except the scab thing), the actors, and the viewers if we get a balanced show that is multi-generational, diverse, and all the good stuff.

As I recall scab or no...the show was going in the right direction and at least watchable during the writer's strike. Maybe if Guza hadn't gotten his panties in a wad and systematically destroyed all of the decent ground the scabs had taken on behalf of the fans he wouldn't be losing his job today.

We can only pray that Mr. Wolf has repented from his evil ways ...in the meantime, if it improves the show...BRING IT.

HALLELUJAH!!!!!!! I was convinced Guza would be the last HW for the show. I think the show's been completely unwatchable for months now. I used to watch Alexis scenes and Scrubs clips online. I don't even do that anymore. There's nothing for Alexis to do and the Lisa story's lasted at least 6 months too long.

Praise da Lawd maybe I can start watching again as a loyal viewer Guza reign of terror is finally over...For me he started ruining GH big time in 1996 that's when I could visibly see it on the screen

Anything is better than Guza as far as I'm concerned his stale ass storytelling has played out. Good Riddance! I for one liked the scabs they immediately broke Jason from sitting on Carly's lap it was refreshing.

I just hope that Garin hasn't been brought back to write GH's obituary in the same way that Lorraine Broderick has been brought back to write AMCs.............

If daytime has taught me anything it's never be happy about any news until you see the results. I'm not a Guza fan but any change that happens now in daytime rarely results in any good. This could unofficially be the countdown to the end of GH.

Guza came onto the job with Pratt to replace McTavish in 2002. It was time for him to go. Port Charles is a sad place without heart or soul. On any given day you tune in you can expect to see someone having a gun on someone else. That isn't love in the afternoon.

I liked the scabs writing because Jason was blowing off Sonny/Carly to hang out with Liz in their "safe house". We saw Jason hurt both of his hands and it looked like we were going to see the hit man learn to deal with not being able to shoot a gun, and then Guza tinkled all over the s/l and the last three years have been the same old BS. Sigh.

Well, Guza is finally gone it's too bad that it's three years too late.

Frons' contract is suppose to be up this month.

And yes peeps this to me also implies the Lorraine AMC move.
I think GH is on its way out too next year.

And with this news, we can kiss all the ABC soaps goodbye. Garin is being brought on to usher the show off into the sunset.

Actually Guza has been a part of the GH writing staff on and off since 1983.......

IA the similarity is eerie... I think GH was cancelled its rumors the announcement will be made around June; for September 2012;

I think they may just have longer...Sweeney cancelled "all three soaps according to rumors" Frons said flat out GH is safe "for now." I'm just surprised they didn't allow Guza to sink with it so it may have came from above Frons' head

Insiders were saying last year that Guza was in trouble no one believed it...with his consultling producer status I'm wondering if he's out of that as well or just as HW. As for Garin I liked the scabs fresher rendition of GH women were involved in story differently in a way that Guza did not I read he likes women. Perchance the show won't be so male-centric. I'm ready for a fresh approach Guza is not a storyteller he's a stunt writer that should have only been allowed to scribe once or twice a year tops.

Guza is trending world wide on twitter lol I think it speaks volumes when people celebrate your firing, I hope this this writer is here to revamp gh and make it better not to write it to its end. I want to be optimistic and hope that GH doesn't get cancelled anytime soon

Nothing could be worse than Guza. That said, and GH hitting rock bottom, there is nowhere to go but UP!!
Maybe we can get some good writing out of the show?? Or would Frons still have the final say so??
