Cady McClain to Bring Dixie Back One 'Mo 'Gain on All My Children

Someone work out a sponsorship deal with Mrs. Butterworth's. Soap Opera Digest is reporting Cady McClain will reprise the role of Dixie Cooney Martin once again before the red photo album closes on All My Children for good this September. As much as I keep saying I am over returns from the dead, in this instance, I hope Dixie turns up alive, not to mention blonde.

So happy that Cady will be back, but as you said ALIVE!!!!! At least this is a step in the right direction. Hope we get some other fan favs back too.
But this is the ONE that will make me a viewer again. AMC is back on my Neilsen TiVO!

Apparently this was in the works BEFORE the news of the cancellation, hopefully Cady is the first of many fan fav returns. any word yet on if she's going to be alive or a ghost again!!!

I think the soaps only hope is that the advertisers save them. You have to hit them hurts the pocketbook, that is all the networks care about. She was great on ATWT. We begged the advertisers to boycott CBS. Here is an old article on how advertisers prefer soaps.

I want Dixie to stay dead, but if Cara is going to do nothing but bat her googly eyes in Jake's direction for the next two months, she can leave and Tad can get back together with Dixie. Cara's useless brother Griffin could have left yesterday all I care.
Despite my misgivings, if Dix is alive, I'll be happy for the Tad/Dixie fans. Never liked Dixie, but T&D do deserve a happy ending.

Should Cady come back, and I really hope that she will for the end with LB and the helm(I'll put AMC back on my DVR as well just for her),and they keep her dead, I think that Loraine could do a good job telling that story of Tad maybe going in his sleep and Jamie and JR standing up to raise their sister.
If they bring her back and she is indeed alive, I hope that they can devise a plausable reason for her staying away from Tad and her kids....again.

Well, Killer Kreizman killed off Alan Spaulding (who was a legacy character just as Tad is!) the last week of GL, so if he were going to be writing the final months of the show, I might be worried. But Lorraine Broderick, hopefully, has more sense than that. I am sure she won't be killing off any core characters in the final months.

AMC should have made this move long ago. To kill off Dixie - especially the way they did it - turned me off to this show. If she comes back - alive, must be alive - I'm an AMC watcher again!
