Is Ricki Lake Returning to Daytime?
By Luke Kerr on April 20, 2011

It looks like former talk show host Ricki Lake is working on making a daytime comeback. According to USA Today, Lake has landed a development deal with Twentieth Television for a syndicated talk show that would premiere in the fall of 2012.
The program will be based in Los Angeles, and will "present topical conversation reflecting Ricki's own personal journey and recent life experiences, including family, marriage, parenting, divorce, weight loss and overall well-being."

I always liked Ricki Lake, but do we REALLY need another talk show?? Don't think so. I wish her nothing but the best, but I doubt that I'll be watching!!!

Just what we need ! No offense to Rikki Lake, but this is reminiscent of Lucille Ball announcing her return to the sitcom genre with "Life With Lucy". Ms. Lake cannot portray herself as a topical young lady any longer. I wish her well.

If they made it trashy fun like the original series, I'd watch. When I was a kid, I'd love staying home from school sick and watching Days and Ricki in the afternoon!

I would love to see Ricki come back to daytime... IF she would replace Rachel Ray's show. Since Rachel is looking forward to the new shows that are replacing AMC and OLTL, it would be great to send her and that terrible show packing back to the Food Network.

No offense to Rikki, but her personal journey is of no interest to me. I just don't want anymore talk shows...period.
