I'm still in tears over this. MCE and JY chemistry is so amazing and their storyline was the ONLY interesting thing about this soap. AMC is a hotmess now with her gone. I'm no longer watching. i can't deal with Jr being stuck in Carey hell with this nu Marissa chick.

March 21st will be a sad sad day but at least her last airdate isn't during feb sweeps because seeing as things are currently playing out, that wouldn't bode well for Annie or Jannie. Speaking of, Killer Kreizman sure are intent on ruining them.
AMC wrote the perfect dysfunctional passionate love story and with the change of a pen, AMC is now ruining Annie, JR in particular and the pairing.

I hate the way they have been writing her exit storyline. Their writing Jr as if he wants Borissa back. Who in their right mind would want Borissa over hot Annie! Sure Annie's crazy but who cares ?

I know. I hate the direction they have taken the character and the couple. It is lousy writing and really makes no sense. I will no longer be watching AMC after March 31st as well. It just still saddens me that Melissa is leaving the show. Why, Oh why can't you just stay for us fans at least for another year. There is not much chemistry like JR/Annie anywhere on TV except for Jason/Sam, and of course Chuck and Blair.

When actors or actresses want to leave to do other things, there is nothing a show can do. It is what it is.

I am so sorry that Melissa Claire Egan(Annie) is leaving AMC! Annie has always been my favorite actress on the show,and it will not be the same without her! I hope she stays in touch with her fans and let us know where her journey takes her. What ever show is lucky enough to get her i will most definately watch.

Well a show can at least respect the storyline they've been building for 10 months instead of changing it up on a dime.
They still could've done crazy Annie but they are ruining JR and Jannie. The whole Marissa stuff is just pointless and it's not like people are gonna root for Jarissa after Annie leaves so they could've just spared us all the BS and ended it in a respectful manner.

Sorry to see her go, even more sorry to know that lazy hacks David Kreizman and Donna Swajeski (who should be writing Children's programming or Teen Nick) will fall back on the unimaginative "Crazy Annie" plotline to usher this great character off the canvas. Lucy Merriam (Ex-Emma)could probably have come up with better ways to write Annie out.

But enough of me hatin'. Best wishes Melissa Claire Egan! You have made AMC watchable even under Pratt! That is something!

To be perfectly honest, the way things are going with her exit(& the fact she's leaving ) & how the rest of the show is atm, I really can't say I'll be sticking around with Pine Valley a whole lot longer. Before when things were bad I always had "saving grace"(character or SL) that kept me around, but I can't say I really do atm. MCE is by far the best thing going on AMC(and this is coming from a big Greenlee/RB fan, it already disgusts me how awful DK is writing Greenlee...he has NO clue how to writer her). It's such a cop out how Annie is going out. Yes, MCE is frickin' brilliant at Crazy Annie, but she's just as brilliant as healthy, but devious & sexy Annie & she's taken the character through so much growth. It's a slap in the face to the fans imo to have her revert on a dime like this.
Not to mention what it's done to JR as well. After how he pursued with such obvious genuine feelings for her & then have him do this sudden about-face, it's another slap in the face. I don't care about the koolaid DK's passing around, JR loves Annie & vice versa. For me this pairing has been the first time I've cared about JR since Alexa Havins left. Shame on tptb! It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the way things are going, that it played a part in MCE's decision to leave. Good luck to MCE though . She's terrific!

awwe! i still cant believe that shes leaving! MCE was great as annie and ill miss her. her and JR had alot of chemistry, but if she wants 2 leave its her decision but i have 2 say i wont be watching AMC anymore... its a lost cause

Agreed. March 21st is gonna be a SAD DAY for Annie and Jannie FanSs. Im kind of happy it isnt in February Sweeps because ithought they were gonna give us CRAZY KILLER ANNIE. Hopefully not. JANNIE FAN FOREVER!!!

LMFAO are we watching the same television shows? I'll give Jasam their cute moments, but they can't and never have for one day gotten on Chuck and Blair's level, NEVER... now Jannie on the other hand are the Chair of daytime, they just exude sexy. Love Jannie or hate them, MCE and JY create magic on a daily basis even when given crap to work with.

JaSamforever you may not be watching the same shows as got2luv, but I sure am. I love Jannie, but my heart will forever be JaSam (unless michael easton shows up and then....that would be a tough one LOL).

Honestly, I think her contract negotiations were kept under wraps. She stated it had been a great 4.5 years. Obviously, She extended her contract to think about the idea of leaving. Her character has slowly been being written into a corner and being taken back into Crazy Annie. I dont think Melissa wanted to be apart of that AGAIN.

Im happy she got out however Im distgusted they are using her sacrifically just to promote Marissa's character..Glad Melissa got out when she did because Melissa is a star...

I'm still really sad, but at leas she'll be on the show for a little while longer. It'd be great if the show could lure her back in some way but I don't think that'll happen unless Brian Frons gets fired.

just want to say this; all that"Jerica" ranting is - boring. Erica's way too interesting to stay with one man; as for chemistry between her and caleb - any good eye can feel it. As for caleb being "haughty, mad, unfriendly" - HELLO. That's the character he was HIRED to play; if they all acted the same it would be...well somebody just doesn't seem to get that. You see, we can SEE him change...he's been out of society for decades. The show is supposed to mimic real life...that's about how a man like Caleb would act when he came back into it. Get it yet?
