As for Britney, I had read it somewhere and was hopimg it wasn't true. We'll find out the real reason soon enough. It could be for financial reasons for some returning stars or she could be leaving on her own.

I wish all the best in whatever she decides in acting or furthering her education.

i've only been watching OLTL for a bit over two years so this isn't a big loss for me but i certainly sympathise w/brittany's fans. frankly, i can't stand the way langston is being written for reasons already enumerated in this thread. i also have questioned some of BA's acting choices (cat in heat? not sexy at all.) but whatever. i do wish her luck in the future and am now wondering if we're going to see another exodus of folks @ OLTL...

NOOOOO, I can't bare it! Becky now Brittany and Melissa Claire, WTF is going on at ABC? That's three of my fave women gone, I have no reason to continue watching any of these shows. They been washed their hands with Liason now I can't even have Jannie nor Fang, through with ABC soaps.

Color me crazy here, but we have 6 departures right now. Why is it okay for non fans to bash, criticize, analyze and cheer the departures of SOME of these people in what could be considered a thread FOR that persons fans, but not okay to bash, criticize, analyze and cheer any or all of the departures?? Arent all of the departures important to that person's FANS whether that actor (or even exec) has one fan or a million?

Langston was a F.R.E.A.K and I for one am going to miss her. From the moment the character showed up at the Llanview quarry a few years ago with her funky hair color and weird clothing she and Starr clicked as friends. At one point, I just new OLTL was going to pair Lang/Cole during the writers strike. I hated Lang cheating on Markko with skeevy Ford.

Oh well. Good luck Brittany you will be missed.

I was okay with the Langston character up until the point when she started cheating on Markko; prior to that, I thought they were one of the better couples among the younger set in daytime(and Underwood and that underrated gem Jason Tam were great together). Of late, I've found her slightly more tolerable again because I actually think she and David Gregory(another actor who's alot more decent than he's given credit for) have pretty good chemistry together. And Underwood herself is also a far better than average actress. Frankly, if people are gonna start getting cut, at least start with those people who couldn't deliver a line convincingly if there was a gun put to their head cough*Farah Fath*cough.

If I were (still) an ABC viewer, I'd bail now. Seriously. I can't even xplain this.

So come on over to CBS!! Y&R is (not only the #1 rated show) but has all your actors AMC and ABC dumped like garbage (okay, okay, I'm sure a few left on their own) Billy Miller, Eden Reigel, Liz Hendrickson...hell, even Peter Bergman was $hit canned and he's my favorite actor on the show! (and Billy Miller)

I do feel bad for ABC Fans who are losing a lot of great talent (**OLTL is that one show I do sometimes miss; but I cannot, in good faith continue to support a network who's boss doesn't care about 'me'. So I left)

I grew up watching ABC via my mom. Felicia the 'Aztec Princess' dressed as a boy, and meeting Frisco made me a full fledged member of my own accord(1984?). The writing is on the wall. Either these actors are feeling that same disrepect little ol me feels, or they think the writing sucks most of the time...or yes, they just want to branch out. They're dropping like flies. When David Canary left, ya just got that feeling things were circling the drain....

Rumors are all over the place that KA wants to try other things and will be exiting the role of Starr. WIll they age Starr and langston?? WOuld they consider Becky Herbst as an older Langston???

I recall reading how Langston is the NEW Cassie in Dorians orbit--- wonder if Brits exit could lead to a Cassie return.

I would LOVE Cassie to come back-- I would except a recast
