BREAKING NEWS: Regis Philbin to Retire from Daytime!

Daytime just won’t be the same this fall. Oprah will have left for the greener pastures of OWN and today TV icon Regis Philbin announced he will be retiring from Live With Regis and Kelly. The Guinness World Record holder for the most time spent in front of a television, told viewers,
"This will be my last year on this show," and "It's been a long time, it's been 28 years since I've been here. And it was the biggest thrill of my life to come back to New York, where I grew up as a kid watching TV in the early days, you know, never even dreaming that I would one day have the ability, or whatever it takes, to get in front of the camera and talk to it.”
Reportedly, Disney-ABC Television Group plans to find a new co-host for Kelly Ripa. It’s too bad Anderson Cooper is getting his own show..
