Congratulations are in order for Tatyana Ali. Love That Girl, the four-episode, independent sitcom presentation the woefully-underused The Young and the Restless star appeared in earlier in the year, has received a 26-episode pick up from TV One! Love That Girl revolves around Tyana (Ali) a divorcee who returns home to Los Angeles to start over fresh in her father's (Y&R alum Phil Morris) real estate firm and re-establishes old friendships. The series will return on Jan 10. Ali, alongside comedian Martin Lawrence and R&B singer/producer Raphael Saadiq serve as executive producers. Was Ali even considered to still be employed by Y&R? Hasn't it been almost a year since she was on the show?

Wow, I hadn't watched the clip before I posted...that was the least funny 4 minutes I have ever endured.
And those two gay characters were not just offensive/sterotypical, they showed a serious hostility towards homosexuals on the part of the writers of this show.
A definite "not watch" for me.

She's been on more recently than a year because she was at the kid's baptism party. But apparently her scenes are so memorable,nobody knows that..LOL!

Glad to hear she's moving on I'm a big fan of hers and waited around for Y/R to do something with after the christening crickets
Not much Bryce either they never wrote them another story just propping so I'm watching them other places...Vampire Diaries now this for Tatiyana; I'm not big on sitcoms but I'll check it out

Jamie the answer is hell no! Those two are Big Gay Al and his S and M bf from Southpark. Only more flaming! Paul Lynde and Liberace's love children as dressed by AB Fab's Edina Monsoon.
But seriously I know that the over the top gays took precidence but didn't the obvious unemployed deadbeat black male living off the good will of his hardworking sister bother you too? I mean he wasn't exactly Jimmy Walker but he was just a couple steps from Kid Dynomite. Just give it a couple eps.
Seriously trashy people on tv are great if theres a point ( I never miss an episode of Raising Hope) but this just seems like unwatchable drivel. The whole lot of them should be ashamed.

I was hoping that the creators would go back to the drawing board for this sitcom. I watched the first few episodes that aired earlier, and it was unwatchable. I watched the clip, hoping that it was different. Sadly, it wasn't. The only funny thing in that clip was her brother eating cereal out of a cooking pot. Raphael Saadiq please take your fabulous name off of this.
