It's about time they hired someone. I am a little concerned though because this looks more like a SORAS Ciara. Abigail was always a blonde like her mom. I sure hope she is a good actress but she really is very pretty. I wonder if she will be paired with Chad. I think they should have tried for a blonde especially since Gabi and Kensie both have dark hair too.

This show has a pension for brunnete dark features ingenues. At least it's a flip on the blonde blue eye fake tits norm. She's hot so I hope she can act, but since it's Days she'll be able to do w/o the latter if she doesn't have it initially. 

Abby has been played by brunettes before and they both sucked (Megan Corletto, Jillian Clare). Ashley Benson and the Kettner twins were my favourite Abbys. Not excited for a dark-haired Abby but perhaps she'll dye her hair blonde for the role.

Now just bring JACK back and I'll be happy!!!

Also, I hope they stick to Abby's characterization in the recent "A Secret in Salem" novel. She works as a photojournalist for the Spectator's online division, specializing in celebrity stories.

I read that Lexie and Abe will be getting a little screen time...and not to prop up other characters. Here's hoping......but please don't let it be the merry go round of Lexie having an affair. Abe has never had an affair...how unfair.

I don't have a problem with a brunette either as they have in the past as AllistairCrane pointed out. I think many of the fans associate Matthew Ashford with the role of Jack and since Jack is brown-haired, I think they wanted to have the offspring resemble the father as opposed to the mother. Like when Jillian Claire portrayed Abby, I believe Jenn and Jack were estranged so it gave her an excuse to rebel against Jenn and built momentum towards Jack returning (as seeing Abby reminded me of Matthew Ashford) to get back together with Jenn, be carted off as a happy couple and when ratings decline, bring them back with the SAME reunion story! Why can't couples simply be happy? This recycling of stories makes Jack appear like such a douche and he's changed for the better through the years. Why can't Jack and Jenn investigate stories and get in trouble but still be a happy couple? Why not have them linked to Bo and Hope as they are cops?

Wondering what story they will come up with for Abby. As far as a romantic interest, Chad is the only person I can see her dating. Will is her cousin and no one else on the show is really age appropriate for her.
