General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

Jason continues to wonder why Dante wants to help Sonny, and Dante insists he’s trying to find the truth. When Dante leaves, Jason asks Spinelli to look up all the information on Brenda. Spinelli goes on and on about Brenda’s beauty and wonders about her, but Jason tells him that Sam is better than Brenda in every way, and Sam overhears.

Brenda pulls away from the kiss and tells Sonny that she’s engaged. Sonny tells her that he jumped bail and why and goes on about the horrible person he’s been, only to have Brenda whitewash everything he says.

Patrick insists that Lisa is not a threat to Emma, but Robin is determined to move out. Robin heads over to Mac’s house and the two have a heart to heart about Emma’s safety. Robin is most upset that she defended Patrick all the while he had cheated on her. Mac is sweetly supportive and I love me some Mac Scorpio.

Nikolas is not happy to hear that Steven suspended Robin, but Lisa plays the victim and insists that Robin is acting crazy and that her PPD might be back. Once she’s gone, Nik tells Steven that he believes Robin.

Lulu is preparing a romantic evening, only to have Michael walk in on her half naked. Lulu apologizes, dresses and heads over to Nikolas'. Dante comes home to an uncomfortable Michael, who insists he’ll go to his mother’s for the night to give Lante some privacy.

Lulu is annoyed to find Brook at Nikolas’ and even more upset to learn that Nikolas is supporting her. She has some choice words of caution for Nik and then she storms out. Lulu goes home to a randy Dante, but isn’t interested because she’s ticked at Nik and Brook. Dante eventually wears her down and the two make out.

Jax comes home to find Carly and Jocelyn waiting for him. After an evening with their daughter, Carly and Jax get their groove going. But when it’s over, Jax questions why.

Jason tells Sam that he’s working with Dante and is upset that Sonny seems to be taking risks by going to Rome to see Brenda.

Patrick stops by Mac’s house and is determined to work with Robin to help protect Emma. They cook up a plan to pretend to break up, to lull Lisa into a false sense of security so that Patrick can entrap her.

Patrick confronts Lisa at the hospital, in front of Steven, declaring that he and Robin are through. Lisa figures it’s for the best.

Brenda convinces Sonny to go back to his children and deal with the consequences of his actions. Sonny leaves as it begins to rain.

Lois and Ned have a lot to answer for. Brooklynne is a self-centered twit. Because she is staying at Windemere Nicholas and Lulu will be estranged. I think Brooklynne bought her moral compass at the same place Carly did.

I didn't expect anything less from Guza.

Sonny:" I was stupid.."

Brenda: " You have a temper, but you're not stupid."

Facepalm was all I could do during this scene.

ALSO. Since when the HELL did they decide Johnny is 30. I thought he was 25.

How long until Brooklyn and Nik do the nasty?! What's the age difference between those two anyway? What is with throwing Dante in with Jason and Spinelli to solve everything, doesn't the PCPD have Dante and Lucky and Mac and other capable members of the force to work with. Dante is all I want to uncover the truth, follow the law blah blah, but he goes to well known criminals to help him and complains about their methods of attaining information. Now we're gonna have to deal with Dante questioning every keybang..err keystroke Spinelli makes. Carly needs to get Michael in some counselling instead of seeking revenge.

Brenda telling Sonny that it was not his fault he shot his son, that he was forced to set a car bomb that nearly killed his daughter, that it was okay that he shot Johnny and left him for dead, and generally absolved him of all his wrongdoings made me physically ill! Along with Guza and Jill Farren Phelps, whoever wrote today's show should be fired just for that! If Guza and co. want to understand why Brenda's return has actually lost viewers, then they need look no further than the S&B scenes today. I didn't see S&B 1.0, I HATE Sonny more than I should considering he is a fictional character, and I still resent Brenda for what her character (and mere presence) has done to my Skye; but even I am insulted at the character assassination they engaged in today. Wasn't the main reason they never worked because she didn't like his criminal world? And that was back in the old days when he just "landed shipments" and was battling "real" bad guys, even before he was hanging people on meat hooks and stealing their parental rights. So aside from being disgusted, I have a hard time seeing her being so okay with and making excuses for the monster that he has become. Guza and co. have yet again outdone themselves in sinking to new depths of hackery and show destruction. The one character who could/should call Sonny on his crap has just joined the legions of Sonny apologist. I can't see how fans of her or this couple can be okay with her just condoning his crap.

Scrubs and Lisa stuff is still the best thing going on in soaps right now. Funny that a good soapy triangle with no guns or explosions, just character driven story and we even get a vet like Mac some good airtime. I liked that Nikolas had Lisa's number even if Tyler Christopher was still using his sigh acting more than I would like.

As much as Dante working with Jason and Spinelli bothers me, and I just don't understand why they can't go to Lulu's apartment to sleep together, I still enjoy Lante when they are together. When it is just the two of them, I can still see why I originally liked the Dante character. It was always about the light and romantic moments with Lulu and his interaction with Morgan than it was his being out to get Sonny, because that was always a futile task. Its when they are apart that things go awry because he becomes all about Sonny and she becomes all about Dante.

I am continually confused by Carly. She cancels dinner with Michael to go seduce Jax? But it doesn't really seem like she wants him back, she just wants him when she wants him. I guess it is typical Carly, but I think Jax can do better.

Re Nik: one minute I am cheering him for not just knowing Robin is telling the truth but realizing Lisa is a would be Helena, the next I want to slap him for giving up his sister, whose life he once saved, for Brooklyn who he barely knows, I can only hope this puts the kibosh on any thought of a Liz/Nik romance.

Brenda has been back for less than a month and I haven't wanted to judge this sl but today was painful, did she really say that it must have hurt to shoot Dante, damn right it hurt...Dante.

My mom took me to see the Godfather Part II when I was six, she said I wanted to see it. I read the novel when I was 10. I made my living from my love of crime novels. I have no problem with the mob, I have a problem with Guza's writing. If Frons wants great crime writing he should call former OLTL head writer and author Michael Malone.

oh right that comment about Johnny and Kristina vs Sonny and Brenda makes no sense since Sonny would have been in his early 30s when he met the 18 year old Brenda and while Brenda thinks that she was more mature than Kristina, most women overestimate our maturity for a variety of reasons btwn the ages of 16-25 and most of us are proven wrong. I think I had actual smoke coming out of my ears during today's episode.

Still loving Scrubs/Lisa best! Robin is standing her ground and I like that. BTW, Mac needs some lovin! That man is still TOO FINE to be THAT SINGLE for THIS LONG! It's just wrong on so very many levels! Wink

Sonny and Brenda kissed? Wow, between her glossing over what he's done over the last few years--weeks, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds--and calling him a good man... I mean, we have heard this song over and over again from so many different women with so many different hair colors, styles, and heights, that I know all the words to it backwards and forwards. No, sorry, Sonny is NOT a good man and I'm speaking as a girl who loved her some Sonny back in the day.

At one time he had a conscience. Did he? I think. It's been so long now, I don't even remember anymore. But now? No. The man shot his son point blank in the chest, shot Johnny on the street--don't care if Johnny had a gun, don't care! And I hate Ronnie too--almost blew up his own daughter to make a point, his son was shot in the head and sent to prison for murder, his right hand man is boinking his former baby mama... No. I'm just over Sonny and the whole 'I'm a good man, but' crap. And if Brenda keeps defending him and crying when she should be kicking his ass out the door, I'll be over her too. It's sad that as a long time fan of this couple, they are just not doing it for me anymore. Guess I'll just have to stick to the Youtube vids, but even those become tainted for me when I watch this shizz.

I want to thank ABC Daytime for giving me nekkid Dante and whipped cream... NOT! Ugh, ugh, ugh, GAG to the extreme! I swear, if it weren't for the required bedrest, I would have skipped the hell out of the room while vomiting during that scene. If I have to see one of them near naked and blurred again this week, my screen just might have to go black for a few days, as I'll be in mourning.

Nikolas and Brook Lynn... No, just, no. I have no other words for them other than that.

Carly and Jax. Am I supposed to care that two grown folks with kids can't figure out how the hell to be two grown folks with kids? Sorry. I'm. So. Over. It.

@ watchingallday--You pretty much voiced everything else that I couldn't put into words myself! Smile

Luza is gonna keep Loozin him some more fans if the writing keeps going down, down, down even more than it already is. It's a sad, sad day in SoapVille USA when I start rolling my eyes and feeling nausea and dread when I look up and realize it's 2:00. I feel obligated to watch some days--when I know it's a Scrubs/Lisa day, which is no obligation at all, really, just pure pleasure--and others, I just pretend it's Saturday and I go on about my business. Keep it up, Luza. Just keep it up...

I just dont know what to say anymore about Guza's constant need to make everyone become stupid when it comes to Sonny. I cannot take it anymore. Seriously... Sonny is not a monster Brenda... seriously. Ok, maybe he is not a monster; while he is no Hannibal Lector, he is still the man who drugged a seventeen year old girl and turned her into a stripper, then is partly responsible for his first wife and now second child's death, then shot his own wife while she was giving birth to his son and last but not least shot an unarmed man in the chest and almost blew up his daughter. Brenda is an idiot and I can no longer wait until she is caught up in another one of his wars to realize that he is exactly as he describes himself, times two. The events that I described are not accidents or just happened by chance and neither are they the best laid plans thought up by a an evil maniacal sociopath. The latter events are half-baked, reckless, thoughtless plans created by an aging power hungry tool who can never truly admit that he is no longer the young child hiding in a closet. He is now and forever Deke(?),the monster who terrorized his family, but instead of him just destroying two lives he is destroying everyone's lives in Port Charles- including his own. Please understand that I am not commenting on MB's age but Sonny the character.

I am completely admitting that I am a hyprocrite but I loved the JaSam scenes today, such as they were. I dont know why I am not as vociferous in spewing my venom towards Jason as I am Sonny. To me deep, deep down he is still Lila's grandson and a Quartermaine; I just have to keep hope alive that he will one day wake up Jason Q again but not being the elitest ass that he was or the droid like being he is today, but somewhere in between. He was my first tv crush.I fell in lust with him when he was with Keesha and fell head over heels in love with him when he was with Robin. I could barely sleep the weekend that Robin told AJ that Micheal was his son instead of Jason's. They do not make cliffhanger Fridays like they use to:( I completely ignored him when he was with Courtney and then feel back in love with him when he was first paired with Sam. I cannot quit the borg. lol

While I still feel that the couple are walking on eggshells around each other and find that Sam's passiveness in admitting that she still feels 50th best in his life disgusting, I like that he is being more affectionate towards her.

Patrick is a douche bag... that is all.

I dont know if this is a good thing or a bad thing but I am physically getting sick everytime I see Dante and Lulu in the same scenes together. they are irritating on their on but together I always want to puke in my throat a lot. The one time that I have enjoyed a Dante scene recently was when Carly came barreling in on Dante and Jason on Tuesday and the door almost slammed into his face. I laughed way too hard from that scene. I think it may be a good thing that I am getting sick because I fully believe that the writers are trying to make this couple as disgusting as possible... and if so, they are doing a hell of a job.

I for some reason am still enjoying the Scrubs sl. Mac was all types of sexy for no apparent reason to me today. Smile

Can someone explain to me why BL is staying with Nick? They had a stupid plan to bring her on and are currently writing a stupid and cliched plan to make her earn her paycheck but I still just don't get it. Nick is a prince he could probably buy as many whores as he wants with his pocket change, why would he need Brooklyn? Could it be to stick it to his shrew of a half-sister,maybe, but I highly doubt that because that would be kind of interesting and we all know that Nick cannot be interesting.

Carly and Jax's scenes would have been cute if this was a year ago but two much water has passed under the bridge for this former Carly and CarJax fan. I just do not care about her or them anymore. But the baby did look cute today and so did Josslyn.Smile

HA, LOL Sassy! Why not have a good laugh at a show that we don’t get paid to criticize everyday? (If we did--cause you KNOW some folks on here write better than Guza, typos and all!--I’d quit my day job to throw stuff at the screen!) We may not all agree with each other when it comes to the content of the show--good, bad, hot, not--but at least we can get in a few sh*ts and giggles along the way! It keeps me from punching out my T.V. or letting my head hit the desk in shame. Wink

Ugh, what is pissing me off is that Brenda's return isn't about Brenda at all. It's all about Sonny and propping him. They are trying to ruin one of my all-time favorite characters for a character I'm not sure is as popular as she is.

I'm sick of Michael walking in on people having sex. If Michael was raped, then I want the truth to come out already and for him and his family to deal with the aftermath.

The Mac/Robin scenes were really sweet. Mac's a good daddy. I'm getting annoyed with Patrick, he's acting as if Robin should just be over him cheating already.

Right now the Robin/Patrick/Lisa story is one of the few half-decent stories on the show, but I think GH is missing a ton of opportunities to bring more people. Like Lucky should keep on investigating this case with Mac. Robin and Patrick could hire Sam and Spinelli to follow Lisa and investigate her which would give Sam and Spinelli something non-mob to do. Nik could get involved because he's Robin's friend and on the board of the hospital which would probably be a better story for him than this stupid story with Brook Lynn. Robin and Patrick could hire Diane and Alexis to work on getting a restraining order against Lisa. Make it a bigger umbrella story and integrate more of the cast.

Since when do Lulu and Nik have a relationship anyway?

I don't understand why they are saying Michael's discomfort on seeing Lante means he has mental problems. Dr. Ruth would be disturbed by them.

Today was mostly Brenda telling Sonny that he's misunderstood and unfairly hard on on himself, with the bonus of Jason, in perhaps the longest set of sentences he's ever strung together since his coma, rhapsodizing about how awesome Sam is. *sigh* This Brenda/Sonny reunion is falling flat for me in so many ways. As for the rest--poor Michael--even if it hadn't been for prison, Lulu's his cousin & he doesn't need to see THAT. Mac, however, was an enjoyable surprise and a bright light in a dim episode.

First, I have to say I agree with all the previous comments criticizing the dialogue between Sonny and Brenda. The old Brenda would have called him on his actions. She would not have been his cheerleader, or tried to white wash away his sins. She knew what he was.... She knew what he was capable of...she accepted it. She didn't make him out to be something he wasn't or excused his actions.... but she also didn't tell him it was ok either.

Ok with that said....If you can get past their actual dialogue....the chemistry these two characters have, is off the charts. They still have that magic or spark that could ignite this couple into some great stories. I even think MB's acting improves when he shares scenes with VMG.

The Scrubs story line is the best thing happening on daytime tv at this time. I am loving it, and I think all the actors are doing a great job with it...especially KMc and BB. I can hardly wait for this story line to escalate to the point of Stone's return at the end of the month. I have a friend that even took those days off from work, so that she could watch it in real time, and not on the dvr. LOL...she is so excited to see Stone again.

Since the writers decided that Kristina and Johnny were wrong and 17 and 25 isn't as icky as 17 and 30.

I am still shellshocked at what I witnessed and heard yesterday. This has to improve quickly because if the show was 1 minute longer Brenda would have been dead to me.

Can anyone explain to me why Jason had to wax on about how much better Sam was than Brenda. I mean they have never been a couple, so no reason for Sam to even be remotely jealous. But got to love plot points on this show.

Once again, I found myself neither shaken nor stirred by the Brenda/Sonny scenes. I know these two have chemistry, but it appears that the fire has been severely extinguished over the years---or maybe I'm just missing something??? Maurice and Vanessa seem like they are TRYING to make it work this go round, but as I said in an earlier post, maybe lightning just doesn't strike in the same place three times in a row!! Either way, Brenda's return is going on MY list as the most disappointing return of 2010!!!! Even though watching GH is free for me, since I watch it on YouTube, I still want a refund!! LOL!!!! Crown Crown If this crapola were being shown in a movie theater, I would've gotten up and walked out during the first twenty minutes.

Now, on to Loo Loo.......Lulu walks into her apartment and is greeted by her SUPER HOT boyfriend, who is naked and ready for some 'welcome home nookie,' and all she could muster up to say was "What are you doing??" Honey, if you have to ask, he must not be doing much of ANYTHING!!!!!

Oh, and since when is anyone "too mad" to have sex with someone who looks like Dante?? Isn't sex supposed to CURE you of stress and negativity??? But then again, I must have missed the memo about passing up an offer for sex just to mope about some chick who is living with your half brother, the same half brother who you basically DISOWNED when you found out that he'd had an affair with Elizabeth???

P.S-- As a gay man, I wanted to jump through the TV and tell Dante...."If she won't give you any, I will!" Big smile Big smile

Alston, personnally I don't find Dante sexy at all (he is really not my type, too short and I hate the tatoos and haircut) so I kind of understood Lulu yesterday Wink ...
So if you want him, I won't compete and you can have him all (but I'll keep Johnny ... THAT's my type of guy, tall and dark, great hair LOL).

And, for us women, even if we have the hottest guy available, sex is NOT the systematic answer for everything LOL If our head is somewhere else ... it is really somewhere else Smile

But once again Dante just proved what a douche he is, having fun when Michael was telling him about Lulu even though it was obvious Michael was not feeling good about it.
And then how quick Dante was to throw Michael outwhen the kid said that he would leave. Did he ONCE propose for him and Lulu to go to Lulu's place ? Nooo
Did he ONCE think about checking where Michael was going to spend the night and if Carly was back at her place (as she cancelled the diner Michael was supposed to have with her ...) Noooo !
Yes, Michael really seems to be a top priority for Dante ... After having sex with Lulu for the gazillionth time.

I agree with AiobhanBelen24 and GHfan-4now (hilarious posts Ghfan !). Lante makes me want to vomit too. And I am so fed up with their tacky love scenes. CarJax didn't have sex for quite some time but their sex scene was very hot and tender and you didn't need to blur LW's boobs or see IR naked ...
When will TPTB take a clue that a lot of us don't want to see stupid Lante love scenes anymore ?
Give their airtime to the Quartermaines instead !!!

The Scrubs/Lisa storyline is still the bright star of the show. And not related to the mob ! So it is possible to please the viewers WITHOUT Sonny or Dante involved in the storyline. Beer
That must be a huge shocker for Frons and Guza Smile

At last Brends ... OMG ... Tell me I didn't hear her telling Sonny that he was right to put a bomb under Johnny's car because Sonny wanted to "protect his little girl" ??? And Sonny conveniently forgot to tell Brenda that K was already mad at him much before the Johnny thing and that she lied about who abused her because she was scared of Daddy ... Such a great father ... but you are right Brenda, he can kill people if it is out of "love of his kids".

Then Brenda saying that Johnny and K were "disgusting" ??? Are you kidding me ? At least nothing happened between Johnny and Kristina when Sonny and Brenda were 30-18 when something happened between them. Wasn't that MORE disgusting in this case Brenda ? Hypocrite much lady ?

This is not Brenda. This is a stupid clone who has been brainwashed as so many women about how amaaaaaazing Sonny Corinthos is.
What Guza did yesterday with the character of Brenda is backfiring big time as people are furious that Brenda condoned everything Sonny did when the real Brenda wouldn't have done/said that.
And Sonny forgot to say that he murdered/executed another man to frame Johnny. Because of course that doesn't count I guess. After all Tomas Lopez, like Karpov, are not his kids so who cares if Sonny kills them ?

If it is what Sonny/Brenda 2.0 (3.0 ?) are gonna be, I am already done and more than pissed off ...

I was never a huge Brenda fan I always found her a little annoying and diva-ish but the whole conversation between her and Sonny was well BORING.

Brenda: Oh Sonny I know you and you would of never shot your son had you known. Oh Sonny I know you and you would of never had put a bomb to kill the guy who faked going out with your 17 year old daughter - unless you had a good reason. Sonny you are so smart. Pick me Sonny pick me! ops added something there.

SO let me guess she will come back take over Crimson, or something big and the men of PC will drool over her because she is so beautiful and gee there is no way anyone that beautiful could be so bad. And no I am not hating on some Brenda but it is par for the course. Jax, Jason, Sonny and now it appears Spinelli will fawn over Brenda BombShell Barrett. I wouldn't be surprised if Michael falls into that category but I have a feeling Brenda is not Michael's type.

I have to say loved the JaSam sceens it was good to see Jason do what a BF should do for his lady and say the things a bf says about his lady. JaSam 2.o would be so much better if they had more sceens like those of yesterday I love adventure but soft sweet sceens are just as amazing.

I agree with mr.sam mccall1, Adventure is nice but If I had to choose, I would take 1 sweet scene(like the one in yesterday's episode) over 5 action scenes (like the stupid cabin story last week). Kemo is so freaking adorable in their cutesy scenes, it's hard for me not to fall in love with her character.

As for Sonny and Brenda, all the endless promo, and this is what they came up with for their first scene.I didn't think it was possible for me to care less about this couple, but alas, it is!! I don't hate Brenda (just don't care about her character), but her laugh gets on my last nerves. Sonny needs to shut the hell up for one second and stop playing victim and she needs to stop shoving her head so far up his ass...ugh

Robin and Patrick: Not a diehard scrubs fan, but I'm loving them. I prefer pissed off Robin than the nice Robin I'm used to.

Jax and Carly sex scenes were very well done. Lante, take notes!!

Speaking of Lante, they still annoy me, end of story.
