I'm trying to laugh at the silliness of Phyllis starting such a blog. My memory seems to fail me, but will Phyllis of old have done this, considering she is high up on the list of GC home wreckers? After all, we are supposed to be getting that same Phyllis back.

Victor setting Victoria up to get arrested should come as no surprise, I just wish they'll do something sort of new and interesting with Victor. I suppose this is all to prop Villy up some more as they get through the different obstacles to be together.

I bet if it comes out Chloe knew about Ronan, she'll go further up on Nina's hate list. I don't see why Heather should be bothered by what happens between those two. I'm still trying to get over the ridiculousness that was the recent love scene between herself and Chance :(

Rumour that Skye could be Meggie's daughter.....not even sure if I'm interested in that. I'll jump on the band wagon of fans who continue to wish in vain that TIIC would try to fully utilise the full stable of characters they already have before branching out even more.

Let's hope the rumour that Victor will arrange Victoria's arrest is not true. If it is true then I hope Victor pays dire consequence. Victor has to realize that Billy is now a more mature and responsible adult who does seem to love his daughter. Billy has done no real harm to the Newmans and certainly has done nothing indictable. Victor hates Jack for justifiable reasons but traipses off with Ashley (an Abbot) every single chance he gets. Get over Billy and let Victoria have some happiness. Besides (talking about the kettle) this could backfire on Victor to major effect. This is would be yet another instance of Victor taking action without thinking out the possible chain of events.

On a related issue, I just wish that Victoria and JT would get on with their separate lives and end these little war games. They both have new loves; or do they really just still love each other?

Y&R is just getting worse and worse.

I wonder what the pre-school parents are gonna say when the kiddies come home after school and tell how, "The stoned-faced English lady made us all glue macaroni figures that spelled out - 'Jana Loves Kev!!'... she scares me Mommy!!!"
As for Nikki - what a terrible recovering alcoholic she is, if she can't detect the booze that Meggie's been spiking her drinks with! Doesn't say much for her committment to sobriety. Either that or she secretly wants to fall off the wagon...

First they come up with this crap bit with Jill & Lauren - then before they resolve that, they jump into Nina's long lost son - who just happens to be in town to work with... wait for it... her other son!!

If Victor pulls some jerkwad move like setting Victoria up for a bribery charge then he really is the Devil and should have his scorecard punched... permanently! What a prime candidate for Father of the Century, eh?

All in all, the only saving grace for me right now is watching Sean Young stumble through her scenes like she's been sniffing cleaning solvent by the bushel full. Is it just me or does she continually look like someone just woke her up and said, "Sean, you're in this scene - take your mark!!!"
So enough is enough - and I reinterate my comment from last week, "Aaaaaarrrgggghhhh!!" - again, something that needed to be said...

Normally, I wouldn't comment on Sean Young as it's hard enough to have Sabrina 2.0 and Faux Tyra (Terrible Actresses, storylines, etc.) but I have too. I decided 5-6 years ago, watching her terrible performance in a LIFETIME movie she's not really worth the mention.

Aside from her MOUTH, has anyone checked out Sean Young's EARS?? HOLY GOD. When she's caught screwing Nicki over she doesn't need to worry about someone chasing her ass down. She can just fly away..

But I do find it ironic that her storyline involves someone who can't handle the booze..

Thanks for jogging my memory mll1206. I was sure that I had seen something close to this storyline on Y&R before. I just didn't remember who the participants were. The only difference is that in this one Victor is having his own spawn arrested.

Im curious to see who bought the pregnancy test. I thought it looked like Heathers arm. The arm hair was too dark to be Abbys and Chloes arms look shaved. I guess it could be victoria.

Phyllis has become so obnoxious! Shes on this, Im moving on and doing me act but shes so concerned with what everyone else is doing. The only people that tear other people down are miserable and shes making herself look stupid. Shes always been such a strong mother to Summer and has tried to sheild her from the problems between her and Nick so what the heck is she doing telling her about "daddys new friend"

And why cant they come up with a story line for Nikki that doesnt involve her falling off the wagon or proping up victor or her kids!

Well I'm not an alcoholic but I have had drinks that had alcohol but didn't TASTE like it but still...

It's Victoria who bought the pregnancy test (I've seen the next episode).

I guess I really don't get most of the criticism for the acting on Y&R for the most part. The points are well stated but It think too much angst and effort goes into the criticism (of course the Victor and Nick characters are always exempt from my understanding).
I do think that the scene between Jana and Chloe just before Jana got the final divorce decree from Kevin was one of the best scenes in a long time on the acting front though.

I'd like the writers to explain to me why an alcoholic would have alcohol openly displayed in the living room of their house to serve as a daily temptation? This is as ridiculous as saintly Mac being so sensitive of her grandmother's lifelong alcohol issues that she buys a bar....

^^ Because like many alcoholics, the sight of alcohol isn't enough to tempt Nikki.

I don't know. To me thats like Bobby and Whitney having an Eightball on the kitchen counter, but under glass. I would think that you would want to get rid of it, so as to not have to think about it and be tempted.

I don't understand why we have to put up with Chloe even day. Chloe is not a fashionista, she is not even pretty,she is a drama queen. Fashionista is not a little drama queen with issues. She have no control of her own life. Y and R have always been known for such beautiful people and to have someone called fashionista like Chloe is an insult.There are two major cosmetic companies,where are the models and spokes persons. I am shocked at this display of beauty. I thought it was a joke at first, but to see her on every day means someone have convinced someone that she is, but she would need a lot more grooming for that and her communication skills.

Jazzy ... come on now. Elizabeth Hendrickson is one of the best actresses on Y&R right now and her character is one of the more interesting. You are seeing her in a different light but I like her.

Regarding Nikki and alcohol ... it is kept in our home and I prepare or serve drinks to my partner or guests and it does not bother me at all. Actually its more that if a back slide occurred then that time will all have been lost. So I understand alcohol being around the Newman cabinets but it still does not explain why she can't taste that something is off (vodka really does have smell and taste).

Does anyone here ever get annoyed when a new set pops up and everyone in Genoa City drops in at the same time (the spa)? I know they were doing their version of "The Women" but still. Also it IS true (as many have already pointed out) that Phyllis really is becoming more and more shrill and annoying by the day. Just wait till she finds out about Cricket.

And ... HowardBeale, I know it is always tempting but I really don't think we should let our advance broadcast revelations slip. I could do those but don't because we don't seem to get them in HD here in the Maritimes yet.

tedew: I was thinking the same thing about the spa set. In the 3 years Ive been watching I dont think Ive even heard them mention going to the spa. Now the set is built and they all just so happen to go on the same day! lol I do like the new gloworm set and am glad to see them meeting there instead of the GCAC.

I really like Chole and think that the actress that plays her is a very attractive woman. I also think she is one of the most talented actress' on Y and R. I dont mind seeing her on everyday because Im excited about the Chloe/Ronan pairing.

I dont think that its wrong for there to be alcohol in Victor and Nikki's home. If you expect an alcoholic to never be around alcohol they would never be able to leave their home because its everywhere.

I cant wait for meggie to be gone! I just dont care for that lady. Maybe if they would have cast someone else for the part it wouldnt bother me...Im just not a big fan of sean young. She wasnt that bad when she was at the bar helping Victor, but as someone whos trying to steal Victor from Nikki I just dont think she fits the part.

tedew: Couldn't quite understand your reference to divulging info obtained earlier (from living in Canada)... If you noticed, all I was talking about was info from the current or past spoilers - or my personal take on Sean Young's acting style.
The only mention made about info from an unaired episode came from AlistairCrane (comment #15) in which it was noted that Victoria had bought a pregancy test because he had already seen the episode.
Just wanted to clear that up for you - personally, I don't like to let something out until the episode has aired in the States... never made sense to spoil it for the others!

Well I still don't get the alcohol thing. It's like a diabetic having a Snicker bar vending machine in their bedroom. And the minute Nicki admitted to being tempted, they should have gotten rid of it right away. Then again, no one can accuse Victor of being overly sensitive to anyone's feelings....

RebeccaJ ... I do understand where you are coming from. But if you think about it, Meggie could do the damage still without alcohol being on display and Nikki could just go out and buy her own in secret.

Adam was ill conceived and ill executed. It remains completely bizarre to me that the son of major characters would suddenly come on the scene in such devastating fashion. But I still do feel that he had absolutely no chance with the Newman brats fluttering around. It really all started in the womb when Nikki was so despicable to Hope. Also, Jack needs comeuppance for his role in the Adam spiral and the grief he caused the Newmans in that never ending feud.

I guess he really will turn out to be the only irredeemable main character in Y&R history. But we shall see.

Tedew it is perfectly normal for you to like someone but she is not one of the better actresses on this soap. There are a lot of great bodies and stylish ladies on this show.I don't see anything great about her. Chloes body donot say female at all.Her hair is almost never in tact.Fashionista's are always at the top of thier game.Chloe have a lot of work to do. In every era of Y&R there have been very beautiful women who were, and could have been able to take the roll of spokes person at anytime, but not now there is no one who could be the fresh face of Jabot but lily. There is no spokesperson material in sight.I 'm sorry but I rather DVR my way through this winny girl whose face never move when she talks. Sharon is still the only spokesperson material and she haven't had that job since 2007 when Dru went over the clift.Chloe's body donot look like a females body. Sharon's body, Victoria's body, Heather's body,Abby's body,Phyllis body and lily's body have style and look great, but not hers. I am shocked that she is on everyday. This will be the last soap on CBS. I am surprise that someone would risk CBS programming with someone like this.

Well Jazzy ... you do have your own opinions and and they are certainly valid and appreciated. I just don't understand or agree with your opinion about Chloe's body though.

I am I right to think that the Newman children actually own more stock in Newman Co. than Victor, if so why do they continue to let Victor remain in charge.With victoria being the oldest of the four she actually own as much as Victor alone. I hope she moves on it, depending on how shrude she is as a business woman.She really need to diconnect from her father.Maybe then she can finally have the respect that she deserves as a business woman.Victoria have more experience than most of the people in GC including Nick.This is business; and she will secure a future for her children rather than her father taking her kids through this same old song and dance.
