General Hospital: Perkie's Observations

The best is yet to come with Brenda and everyone who has quickly jumped to say her return is a FAIL need to take a beat and realize that Brenda isn't feeling "alive" with her current life and that explosions are definitely coming up! It hasn't been amazing just yet but it is wonderful to have her back so everyone should please just CHILL.

The Lisa Niles story is the best thing that could've happened to Scrubs. When she was in the house and Patrick came in my jaw dropped and that hasn't happened since Robin got shot at the Metro Court.

Kim was amazing today. It's great that we have had the opportunity to see this character evolve over the years - and with the same actress. Would not have happened if Robin had been SORAS'd. JT was great today as well.
The show could have much more interesting if they had scenes with Robin & Brenda in Africa. Could have been in a hotel so they wouldn't have to have new sets. OR they could have Robin find out about Patrick & Lisa and then contact her BFF Brenda. Then Brenda could come to PC to be with Robin.
All this Italy stuff is just dragggggggggging on.
Notice how Sam was wearing the same boots that VM has been wearing in the GH promos?
Wouldn't someone have called Jason right away once Sonny was arrested?

Robin / KMC was amazing today ! You could feel how stunned she was when she at last learned the truth. I loved when she threw the wedding picture on the floor.
Now I just hope that she won't forgive Patrick soon because "I am sorry" and "I love you" is far from enough as much as I like Scrubs. I hope Robin will hook up with Steve to give Patrick a little taste of his own medecine and Steve deserves better than Olivia.

Second kudos of the day : my girl Claire is back ! Love that she didn't hesitate to use her recordings ! yes Sonny you cannot manipulate all the women of the world ! And love her dress too. Very classy.

Still bored crazy about the Brenda scenes. They better step up soon because I agree that so far this has been a huge disappointment ...

At last loved Sonny whining about the fact he is "framed" !!! Remember what you just did to Johnny, Sonny, by killing one of the Lopez brothers ? That's called "being framed" too .. so priceless to hear him complain about it and scream that he is "innocent".
Too bad that Sonny can never pay the price because Sonny falling down AT LAST for something he didn't do (even if last time I checked, if he didn't want Johnny to die and wanted to convince the cops it was self defense, shouldn't he have called the cops and 911 while waiting next to Johnny ? He left Johnny to bleed to death ... That is of course the definition of "innocence" would have been the perfect "payback".
"Poor Sonny" ? Sorry but for me Sonny being framed is pure delight for all the crimes he has committed and never paid for.

But of course Dante will save the day. Because his Daddy could be in trouble and Dante always steps up to prevent Daddy to go to jail ...

And once again kudos for the Scrubs scenes. But I am mad that the promo of the week was not Scrubs and the confession scenes instead of Jasam / tacky Lante (and one more sex scene ... please SPARE US and cut this one also ?) / Brenda-Sonny.
Scrubs is one of the best couples of the show and they haven't been the focus of a weekly promo for months. I really think they would have deserved this one.

But I always forget that it is the Sonny and Dante show ... so why give screentime to Scrubs, a couple that most viewers like and WANT to see ?

While I will be happy to see Sonny get what he deserves, I do wish Claire and the disgusting Domestico cop were not shown as so cocky and arrogant. It is hard to be on their side when the cop is guilty of obstruction of justice by tampering with evidence, and the federal prosecutor taped private conversations as a means of entrapment and is gloating over it. How can you admire characters like that?

Kimberly McCullough is the best and today showed why. She took Robin from shock to heartbroken and everything in between. I cried and wanted to hug Robin.
I loved the SHUT UP and couldn't believe how I cried for her all during the episode. This is what soaps are made of. GH should show her performance to other actresses. We need more airtime and story and Robin and Patrick need to be front and center on GH.
I disagree with a comment that this Lisa Niles story. This is a Robin and Patrick FA story where Lisa is a part of it. I'm already over the FA part and just focused on what is going to happen to Robin and Patrick. I even forgot that Lisa was on today LOL. I still want Robin with Patrick but Patrick has to beg and grovel to get Robin. Don't want Robin with another man but I would like to see Jealous Patrick when a good looking young hot guy looks at Robin.

I sometimes never know how much of a fan I am of a character until they have their heartbroken and I cry right along with her. Roin broke my heart. Her eyes. This Lisa Niles storyline is the best thing to happen to Scrubs. Bring on Stephen Webber, please. I want to see Robin in a great triangle. Stephen/Robin/Patrick.

Please hurry and get Brenda out of this crap. I can't wait to see her comfort Robin.

well this is really more of a comment on Tuesday's episode:

but I can't possibly like this woman who is trying to destroy my Robin. I love Liz, Brenda, and Bobbie but I haven't watched them from the time they were 7 years old. And I swear KMc could play a teenager today esp. with this newly grown out hair. My point, and I do have one, I love Robin and so I accepted Patrick, it helps that KMc and JT have such natural chemistry, but I knew he would hurt my girl, I did not know how or when but I knew he would.

I truly wish Guza had taken a different route with these two.

My only other comment concerns Lucky who said to the unarmed man Sonny shot in the chest in his living room that he didn't think Sonny would take such a stupid risk in shooting Johnny in the street? Really Lucky, Really?

Finally, a payoff for sticking with Robin even through "Emma-Tree-Gate" months ago! Thanks so much to KMc and JT for reminding us why Scrubs should be a front burner couple. (Of course, we all know that "contract" does not equal "front burner," at least not with respect to screen time. )

Engradypind...WORD. I hate that the only times we get to see Sonny held accountable for his actions is when he's being dragged through the criminal justice system for the 1 or 2 crimes he *didn't* commit. I don't care so much about the recording; IMO, a career criminal assumes the risk that someone will try to cozy up next to him as part of a grand scheme to put him away for good.

As for Ronnie's actions...that just takes the fun out of seeing Sonny behind bars - at least for the 2 seconds he'll be there. I would've been happier if Ronnie had left the gun there and Johnny took it upon himself to lie and say that he was acting in self-defense. It's not like the only way Johnny's story would be plausible is if he was unarmed. I'm sure that city employee(?) who was working (at night?) on the street and saw what happened will eventually come forward and be the person to exonerate Sonny.

Sigh...I just want the criminals to act like criminals and law enforcement to start remembering where to draw the line.

Finally Patrick fesses up - I enjoyed seeing him choke the words out. The only bad thing is that he will be moping around and begging in the days ahead. Not a Robin fan at all but her reaction was good until Patrick left - her just sitting down sniffling didn't do it for me. Her anger should have still been there so that left me wanting a bit more. Loved Lisa's smirk after talking to Steve - too creepy. Loved Jason and Sam. Ethan charging around automatically pronouncing Sonny guilty left me cold - apparently he has a short memory regarding his own situation not long ago. Maya and Brenda are rapidly getting on my fast forward mode. Completely and totally boring. Uh Jax, how long are you going to sit on that bar stool acting like the town gossip? Kind of odd.

Just word to this. This is what is wrong with GH right now.

The Robin/Patrick scenes were soo good. Kim Mc. rocked the house with those scenes. I felt so bad for Robin and I'm really glad that she pointed out that Patrick covered for Lisa even when he knew she was getting dangerous. Cheating is one thing, but knowingly putting your family in danger like that is just a whole other level of irresponsible. Patrick should have come clean when he suspected Lisa of stealing Robin's meds.

Ethan and Johnny are my new fave BFFs. I think they have more chem together than Ethan/Maya.

Brenda needs to get back to PC asap. I don't care about the people in Europe. I want to see her with Robin, Sonny, Jax and the Qs (if they ever even bother to show the Qs again), people that I actually know and care about.

I wish Lucky had more to do. I don't understand why they're wasting JJ like this.

I agree with you truthtakestime... the Brenda return is going to play out slowly folks need to realize she is back for a year or more not 4 weeks so the story must build slowly and she is suppose to be feeling dead and VM-G is acting the part. I have no doubt that the story will pick up, I mean honestly people when has VM ever disappointed so slow your role people. VM is a fantastic actress and she will show and prove. Now, as for Robin's discovery of Patrick's infidelity it was acted beautifully by Kim. I must say between, Jonathan Jackson, Maurice Benard, Vanessa Marcil-G, Kimberly Mcclough etc....... GH has the most talented cast in daytime hands down!!! I suppose that's why its the only soap I watch now.

I loved everything Scrubs, today. Kimberly was fantastic.

Sonny scenes and Brenda were just boring to me.. but I loved her talking about Jason...

Loved the Scrubs scenes - Kim and the highly underrated but always excellent Jason T. were heart wrenchingly good. These are the scenes that make a crappy year worthwhile. Love Johnny and Ethan. Maya still isn't doing it for me - she is totally expressionless and blank, which is quite the opposite of Ethan, who continues to endear himself. I guess 5 inch heeled boots aren't the smart shoes to wear when you are going undercover and might need to run. Sam should have been wearing tennis shoes even though they don't look too cool.

Loved KM today. I definitely feel more attached to her than any other character because I watched her grow up since she was 7. She is an amazing actress and I love the character she plays just as much. I didn't even realize that I was crying while watching her scenes until my son came in the room and asked me what was wrong. He reminded me gently that these are not real people and now thinks I'm nuts!

Jasam was ridiculous. It was interesting to see that Guza thinks that all police officers, and not just those in PC, are total morons. It's really insulting and degrading the way he protrays the people who put their lives on the line to protect us every day. I totally did not get Jason thanking Sam - WTF? She is the reason they were in the mess in the first place. Good thing she wore those hooker boots on her super secret spy mission.

Kimberly was excellent, but let's not forget Jason Thompson! Someone please give him an Emmy already. He is consistently poignant in his scenes. He was amazing during Robin's postpartum depression, he was amazing dealing with the Sonny trial and Robin's loyalty to him, he was amazing in the scenes leading up to sleeping with Lisa (his struggle, his desire, his competitive nature and ego) and surely he was amazing yesterday. Jason Thompson is so subtle and real in his performance and completely underrated and apparently under the radar.

Kimberly was fantastic and being a Robin fan since she first started on the show....I enjoyed her scenes, though I always enjoy her scenes!! Haven't felt this passoniate about a story line on GH in a long time. And even though I am really upset at Patrick...Jason's scenes were very well done too.

I am not a big Robin fan and I only really like scrubs because they are usually non-Sonny related, but their scenes were AMAZING! Those scenes were pure soapy goodness, and they BOTH had me feeling for them. Kimberly was pitch perfect, and Jason could give some people cough *Tyler C.* a lesson on how to let the wronged party rant and rave, while still conveying the proper amount of energy to show that you are alive.

While Claire's character assassination may be on hold for now, I still do not understand what all that baby crap with Sonny was about. If I can get a satisfactory explanation about that and she is serious about still trying to take down Sonny, then I guess I can forgive her for the past 2 months of utter foolishness.

Dante and Lucky both had me screaming at the tv Monday. Why would they "want" to give Sonny the benefit of a doubt? Tuesday was not as bad, but as maxsmom wrote about Lucky not thinking Sonny would shoot an unarmed man "really Lucky, really"? I will keep saying it until it stops pissing me off, but I resent Lucky all of a sudden being a super cop who is buddy buddy with Jason and Sonny JUST because JJ is back. If they wanted him to be that way, then why did they write GV and even JY the way they did for the past 10 years? I am not so upset that they replaced GV with the original, because even though it didn't happen they were just trying for ratings, but pretending like the last decade never happened bothers me.

I still think this Rome stuff is crap, but I sort of like the Murphy character. I doubt there is any room on the canvas for him much longer after Brenda returns to PC, because he is pretty much Jax without the baggage, but Brad Rowe has in my opinion done really well in that Rome stuff, even though its pretty terrible and I don't give two shoots about it.

Spooks - Hang in there. JJ has a big storyline coming up soon.

Perkie Robin wasn't 7 when she first came to Port Chuck. She was 6. She was such a great actress even at 6 yrs old!

Jason and Sam have the stupidest storys. I don't think the writers even think this crap through.

Robin has always been, is, and always will be one of my faves. I wish they would give her more to do.

Lucky should not be looking for ways to clear Sonny.

Karma is a b*tch ! So happy that Sonny, after having almost killed his own daughter and having killed another man to frame Johnny, is now the one framed ! This is priceless and I would almost cheer up for Ronnie for trapping Sonny if he was not so rotten.

And let's face it it is not as if Sonny is "innocent". As many have already said it on this board and others, if he just shot Johnny in self defense to protect himself, why didn't he stay with Johnny and called the cops and/or 911 to get Johnny some help instead of running away leaving Johnny alone to bleed to death. He had apparently the time to call Diane coming back to his place but certainly didn't call for some help for Johnny. So the song "If I wanted Johnny dead, I would have shot him again" doesn't work with me too.

Diane is always trying her best for Sonny and that's the way he talks to her ? Sonny has really become a total jerk and personnally I am not interested to see Brenda wasted on this guy.
This is not the same Sonny we used to love 10 years ago and I couldn't care less what will happen to Sonny and I hope Brenda will make him suffer as he has made suffer all the women who have ever loved him.

Poor sexy Johnny. I agree that Johnny and Ethan are so great together. Fun and sexy ... Give me more.

Jasam. I don't like them as I don't like Liaison. The last pairing of Jason I ever liked was Jason and Robin ... and Robin is now free from Patrick the Cheater so I would love to hope for a lot of Jason/Robin scenes and that their lovestory could be revisited.
Robin has so much more class than Sam who is always dressed like a hooker (poor KeMo, it is not her fault because she is pretty but when will they give her at last a decent wardrobe as they did with Lulu 2 years ago ? You can run everywhere, be an "action woman" and be dressed with class like Anna Devane for example !) and is so much better than Liz who is always whining (even if RH is gorgious).
I know I am going to be crucified by both the Liaison/Jasam fans who will, thanks to me, at last agree on something Jason ... but I maintain that I am still dreaming of Robin and Jason ...

Speaking of Scrubs, they were AMAZING yesterday. Not a fan of the Patrick character (even if JT was good) and I hope that Robin will not forgive him but their scenes were really good.

JJ's one of the best actors on the show and they're barely using him anymore than they did GV.

I hope that once it will be known that Sonny tried to kill Johnny with a bomb, then framed him for the Lopez brother that SONNY KILLED, Johnny will be exonarated because he threatened Sonny but didn't shoot when Sonny shot him after already trying to get rid of him twice ...
My guess is that Sonny would spend much more time in jail than Johnny for his actions of the past 2 months and Kristina would never talk to him again.

But this is GH so of course Johnny will have to pay and Sonny will be this pure innocent mobster and the hero of the show and after you will wonder why the ratings are in the closets ...

Well I waited a longgggg time for this one to play out and I wasn't disappointed (like when Carly didn't get her chance to go at the Claudia B-day party reveal re: her doing in shooting carrot top)...I was skeptical to get on the band wagon for another long wait with no payoff but I got one this time...

Kim was magnificent and said all the right stuff...I especially liked she threw the picture that he just had repaired LoL....he deserved it not so much for banging Lisa that I can handle...hey its a soap ... but all he did prior to that..

Patrick was inappropriate with Lisa and her with him all along... I still have problems with Patrick waiting until she hijacked the "Muffin" before saying anything errrr he should have stepped up (as Robin said) when she took her life line medication...and Patrick "probably" knew that Lisa took them and kept insinuating that them missing was because of Robin...for that alone he should have been kicked out...

And I'm glad she did great performances by Jason and Kim the best of the episode.

As for Sonny its always the same with the mobturds I knew that something would be compromised because he can't go to jail he's the lead of the show...SaSon will never go to jail in GuZavision; I was shocked they had the Borg in and out all year...although mainly for the Michael storyline.

I guess I'm supposed to feel sorry for the fact he got framed by a dirty cop. Well cops do this all the time with mobsters from the mob town I live in...its not uncommon for them to be set up to be arrested or killed...evidence planted, unplanted...they are criminals afterall...

I like the Brenda storyline and the international angle I like knowing her life before they just plop her in Port Charles...I don't have a problem with it she only arrived on the canvas the eleventh. I've waited seven years a few more weeks won't matter. Its a lot of ragging on Brenda why I don't get...they called it a failure before it even aired running around the internet bashing her sounds like an agenda to me..

...eventhough this is GuZaVision I am still hopeful for her storyline after all allowances must be made...
