Bold and Beautiful Nabs Ed Scott!

Seems like The Bold and the Beautiful is gunning for the #1 spot! According to TV Guide's  Michael Logan, former Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless executive producer Ed Scott has been hired on B&B as a producer. B&B ain't playin! They want to actually earn this third emmy next year for best show! lol!

Go Ed Scott one of the best producers out there. Y&R's loss is definitely B&B's gain!

Mama Bell betta' get her house in order before she takes Ellen Wheeler's place as the most-hated heifer behind the scenes in daytime and drags Y&R down a SIMILAR path as that of the beloved GL, may it continue to rest in peace. EVEN IRON BENDS...............................

I hope they can get rid of some of the dribble, get back the spark that B&B once had. The show is just laughable and cartoonish, it's always been, but not has bad has it has been.

Joan76 have you been watching B&B the last two to three months? It's been really good.

Joan76,

Have you been watching the show lately? I think B&B is pretty good right now. It seems to me that when a show has a stretch of being bad, most viewers don't want to give credit to that same show when it has gotten better. It is a shame. But Joan76 has a right to her opinion like everyone else i guess.

Brad wants to go for the trifecta and create new Emmy Dynasty. I wonder if Brad has been talking to Kobe. Crown

I think B&B is actually superior to Y&R when talking about storyline quality. That is a sad day when B&B is better than Y&R. I think B&B has a good team and I think Y&R could take a cue.

Why did Days fire Ed Scott? Didn't that show's ratings plummet under his reign?

B&B has been very good (for B&B) lately. I can't help thinking there's going to be a cast purge soon because the cast is quite large for 30 minute show. Soon, Hope will have 3 suitors: Stepbrother Thomas (eww!!!), Oliver, and Liam.

Josstheguy,

You are right. Three suitors for Hope but none for Steffy. Don't get me wrong I can't stand Steffy but they should spread the romantic wealth a little on this show.

I'm in soap heaven right now! First we hear that Drew Tyler Bell is OUT and now they announce that the talented Mr. Scott is IN. I'm so happy I could kiss Brad Bell's butt. Tongue It feels good to be a B&B fan again.

Ed Scott is one of the few producers still working in daytime that I respect. He's not only a great technical producer, but also has the ability to bring out the best in the actors he works with. Y&R and DAYS haven't been the same since he left.

I hope Mr. Scott can enhance the visual look of B&B. I wish they'd stop shooting at the parking lot and halls of CBS Television City. Those scenes always look so cheap and remind me of GL's badly produced outdoor sequences. I also wish he'd get rid of those corny freeze frames at the end of some shows like he did at DAYS.

I like a bit of camp on my soap, but B&B seriously needs to tone it down. I want more drama instead of bad comedy and cartoonish tomfoolery. Hopefully Ed Scott can bring a fresh new energy to the set and inspire the cast to up their game and bring out the best performances possible.

If Brad Bell keeps this up, I may have to start watching B&B again.
