Melissa Reeves Back On Days of Our Lives

WOO!They finally got my girl back!!I love my Jennifer more than almost anything on this show.

I hope to God that the next breaking news we hear is that Matthew Ashford is back as Jack. I won't accept a long-term Jennifer return without Jack, and I certainly won't accept another break-up or death!

She is absolutely fantastic. Good job DAYS.

I wonder if they'd have her live at Alice's or if they really are going to retire that set. She is the only one (even more than Hope) who could live there and have it not be inappropriate. Either way, this is great news. I wonder how they'll explain Jack's abscence. (or maybe the won't need to???)

When Scott and Melissa left Los Angeles behind for Nashville years ago, I really thought we'd never see them acting again.

How wonderful he is on GH and she will be back full-time on Days. Seeing her back during the episodes for Alice really made me realize how much Days needs her. Good work kids.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!! I knew once hubby Scott went to GH, she would be back on Days. I agree, the way Hope is acting right she needs her cousin.

This is certainly a positive bit of news for the show, but will she have a storyline or will we just see her as a supporting player once every couple of weeks?

Waiting to hear if Jack is coming with her before I get too excited...

We only had 3 scenes during Jenn's last return, and I was dying each time they looked in each other's eyes. Plus the "do you think I should stay?"---"YES!!!!"

Welcome back Missy! Let's give her a real storyline and not keep her sidelined when she is back. There are plenty of people that DAYS can get rid of to make room for Jenn.
Too many teens. And nothing against Casey, but Stefano needs another kid like John Black needed another back story.
Stephanie can go back home with Kayla. Gabi can leave with Ari (sad to see her go).
Let's home Jennifer (& Jack) don't get sidelined like Adrienne & Justin are now (what a waste of one of the most romantic couples in DAYS history) or Steve & Kayla were.

Ahh that would awesome! At this point I'm happy with Missy coming back. Plus I would be scared for DG facing the wrath of Dena's storytelling abilities.

This is wonderful news! During Jennifer's recent stint on the show I remember thinking how much she was needed in Salem. And how great to have another Horton back? I just hope they write something worthwhile for her, because they have written some serious garbage for Crystal Chapelle. And honestly at the moment, the only storyline that is keeping me interested is that seriously HOT flirtation between Maggie and Victor! It's actually making me feel sorry for Vivian LOL

Other than that? Not much going on that I care about.

Jennifer Horton is the heart and soul of the Hortons without our dear Alice. Missy's performances during her return last month were heartfelt and, as Michael Logan said, "luminous." I cannot wait for the talented Melissa Reeves to return and lift DOOL out of its summer ratings doldrums. (LAST PLACE last week! OUCH!)

I agree, salem1975, Missy Reeves always had a sunny-ness about her that felt very warm and comforting, just like Alice. I'd love to see her come back with Jack and Abby (did they have another child too? I can't even remember). Instead of bringing in all these random teens to try to appeal to the younger audience (like Gabby, Mia - who is thankfully gone, Chad), they should think about bringing a younger generation of Hortons and Bradys to the canvas. Right now we have Will as the only teen with a connection to a beloved family. I don't consider the revelation that Chad is Dimera to really count, the Dimeras aren't a beloved Salem family!

I still think they also need to bring back Bill and Lucas. Bill would be great in a triangle with Kate and Stefano, and I really miss Lucas and his scenes with Sami and Maggie.

I'm SO happy to hear Melissa Reeves is coming back! When I saw her come back for Alice's funeral, it really completed the Days canvas for me. I could do away with Gabi, Chad, Dr. Baker, Nicole, Daniel, Chloe, Melanie really. Melanie isn't as annoying as when she started, but I just don't care about her. It would be wise to shift the focus back to the Hortons. They are THE core family in Salem and seeing how few there were leading up to Alice's funeral made me realize how they need to replenish Salem with Hortons again!

I also think the actor who played Bill did a good job. Would it be so wrong to see a Victor/Maggie/Caroline/Bill quadrangle unfold? I've enjoyed Victor and Caroline together although she's been a bit crazy lately. As for Bill and Maggie, I thought they looked cute together, I could believe that he was honestly concerned about her and her recent Myasthenia Gravis scare (although the hyped up article in TV Guide made it seem like Maggie would struggle but it was more ho-hum than dramatic which is a shame as Suzanne Rogers is a talent, but I digress...).

And Lucas needs to come back. There's still PLENTY of unresolved story between Lucas and Bill and Kate even. And Bill is tied to Jenn and I've seen so little interaction between Jenn and her dad.

And yes, Matthew Ashford MUST return! He's the BEST and ONLY screen partner that Melissa Reeves can have. He does drama and comedy so well, like my Vivian! Just dump the above people and I will be happy to catch Jenn come back to Salem! Woo hoo!

Conquering Blue: You're right; they've been giving Crystal Chappell horrible writing of late. I'm hoping the addition of Melissa Reeves will help improve it. I absolutely loved when Jennifer told Vivian where to go before she left.

I agree, snags, Bill needs to return especially that Bill we had recently. I loved his chemistry with Kate more though.

Oh I read Robin Mattson is coming to Days too! Along with Gabi being recased by Camila Banus (ex-Lola from OLTL).

And you right about Caroline she has been so snappy of late. I'm almost convinced she's having some kind of mental illness.

I will say the writing needs to get better though. Just because they are bringing back all our favorites doesn't mean people will stick around and watch week after week. Story must come first. And the ratings are getting worse and worse at Days.

Too bad Ashley Benson is on that Pretty Little Liars show.

The Lindsey Hartley firing now makes complete sense. They needed the $$$$ to help pay Missy salary.

Is it wrong of me to be against Jack returning? I haven't liked how they have portrayed him the past few times around. I think there is more story line potential if Jennifer returns as a single woman.

Hope they have good story for her unlike the recent return with Carly. Which they have had no idea what to do with her.

This is awesome! I'm a new viewer but I loved her brief return. Can't wait to see her back on a full time basis.

I also hope JAck is back as well. Did they ever address why Jack and the kids didn't show up for the funeral? Last I rememeber Melissa saying they would be there soon and then nothing.

Well they did one thing right by bringing melissa back. they need to bring back all the oldies. They Hire all these People from other soaps that went off the air and fire all the one's that are Great from the show today. I have watched this show since who know how long (every since I can remember w/mom when I was a kid)And I must say the Writers are Getting WORSE AND WORSE. The Ratings are slipping alway and they Aren't doing anything to fix it, Just making it worse. They Fire more People than anyone I have EVER seen. And it sucks.

Leave the Cast Alone and Bring in some Oldies. And start WRITING something worth watching. If it fails it is because of the writers NOT the Actors. There is SO SO much they could do w/the actors they already have. AND QUIT FIRING THE ACTORS. START WRITING INSTEAD...
