Kristoff St. John Staying "Young and Restless"

The Young and the Restless' Kristoff St. John has remarked via Facebook he will remain with the sudser. The actor stated,
To all my peeps out there, this I must share, cuz I know you care; As of right now, today, I am not leaving The Young and The Restless. I love my daytime home and treasure it. I love all you and thank you for your beautiful support.
St. John's declaration comes on the heels of news Fancast's Sara Bibel broke earlier today concerning the actor having landed a role in an upcoming comedy pilot from the Wayans Brothers.

Good!! Neil Winters is staying. Now, give him something to do other than rub Lily's shoulders and call her "sweetheart" 24 times per episode. And bring back my girl, Drucilla!!! Okay, I know the second one isn't gonna happen, but just thought I'd throw that in there. I guess he is smart to keep his day job. Kristoff knows that STEADY jobs are still a rarity in Hollyweird, especially outside of daytime. Daytime, even when the writers SUCK, is still far more secure than many primetime and movie gigs. I am looking forward to seeing him in this new Wayans brothers show, which I hope is successful, since all the GREAT black comedies are essentially gone!!!
Bye, bye "Girlfriends," "Martin," "Living Single," and countless others!!!!! The Wayans Brothers are hilarious.

I'm so glad to hear he'll be staying in GC, and I applaud his loyalty despite less than stellar writing for Neil.
It looks like TIIC gave Neil's s/l's to Tucker. I was so damn proud of him for telling Victor where to go. He seemed to come alive when he was spearheading Chancellor, until the prodigal son jacked him. The character holds an MBA from Stanford, so it makes no sense that he's been career-neutered. To add insult to injury, Tucker got Neil for his woman, too. Is MAB clueless, or is she shooting soaps' biggest population of viewers the finger?

I have to admit, I'm really surprised he's staying, but sometimes I think it's more due to the economy these days. Neil hasn't had an interesting story since he was a drunk sleeping with a drunk. Most of his years were spent kissing Victor Newman's *ss. Gosh, who wouldn't want that job?!

Okay ya all, color me confused. Soaps.com is now reporting as of this morning that Kristoff St. John will take a brief break to work on a project with the Wayans' brothers. Why the switcheroo huh?! I'm getting dizzier each and every day with this silly story.

I would not mind him leaving, as long as he takes, Lily, Malcom, Mac, and Cane along with him and never return. We should all be so lucky. I have watched this sudser for over 27 years and it has never been so poorly done.
