BREAKING: Julie Marie Berman Wins Outstanding Younger Actress (Updated)

Very well deserved!!! So glad she won.

I was sad about Drew but overall I was pretty happy with the actors/actresses that won.

Congrats to her! In my opinion, she was the only actress in the category that deserved to win it. I did not like her dress though!

I had picked Christel Khalil to win this only because she was dealing with the cancer storyline. But I'm glad that Julie Berman won. None of the other actresses in that category had a snow balls chance in winning this category. I really believe that it was down to Julie and Christel.

Let be honest here, i love Julie but this was probably the easiest emmy win of the history. She was the ONLY real actress in her category.

I thought that Christel Khalil was gonna pull an upset, but Julie pulled it out of the bag at the last minute. Congrats.

She was phenomenal in the break up scene with Johnny (as she was phenomenal last year in the trial scene where she screamed her love for Johnny). Last year and this year were no question for me : she had to win the Emmy both years.

This actress deserves so much better than the crap she is getting right now and the pathetic pimping position she is stucked in. She had so much more material when Lulu was with Johnny or after the breakup !

Lante has been a downer for Julie and her character is trashed evrywhere.
This is a TWO TIME EMMY WINNING ACTRESS, she deserves a storyline alone and I hope the horrible Lante will be over soon so that she can shine again !

I'm very glad for her. She is one of my favorite actresses on the show.

I honestly think Christel should have won hands down.
I don’t particularly think Julie did anything great over the last year but come on honestly what did anyone else that was nominated do other than christel??? I was completely shocked when I saw the chicks from Days nominated…I mean come on your kidding me right. To me Stephanie was always the girl that used to play her and Melanie’s character annoys me sooooooo bad. I just got where I skip through all the teens/young ones..there all skanky to me so I think I would have died if one of them won.
I agree with GossipGirl though Julie's dress was horrible and could use some more fabric at the bottom to me.

Congrats Julie, I thought she was incredible in the Johnny and Lulu break up scenes !
Regarding Christel, I don't know what tape she submitted but it depends a lot on that. Remember that four years ago everybody thought JMB would win for the abortion storyline but she didn't because apparently she made a bad choice in the tape she submitted ... Perhaps it is the case with Christel. JMB knew better and submitted her most powerful episode of the year by far (as if any scene with Dante could bring her a nod as she is only pimping the guy all day long...).

And I loved her dress. Purple is the color of the year for fashion and as a true Crimson girl she remembered that. So much better than her boring white dress of last year !

No matter what Christel submitted, Julie is out of her league acting-wise. She had the most boring cancer ever, she's so freaking bland.

So happy that Julie won and for a JoLu episode (even if I was not a JoLu fan but they were still so much better than this Lante nightmare) instead of for a Lante one (how could she find one interesting enough to submit ?).

I agree with all the comments on the line that she deserved it so much but that she should enjoy it because it is not with what she is given right now in terms of acting material that she can hope another Emmy soon.

This girl is so good, break up Dante and Lulu and give Julie a real storyline where she can shine as usual !

And I loved her dress also. So modern, so not boring compared with most of the dresses of the women that night. Also loved SJB's dress.
