First Look: Nicholas Robuck as James Ford on OLTL

Here's a peek at James Ford (Nicholas Robuck), the newest hottie to hit Llanview. Apparently it's all in the jeans genes as both Ford men are positively yummy to look at. Will James be as big of a jerk as his older brother Robert Ford (David Gregory)?

James comes to town as his brother is clinging to life in the ICU, but with a story of his own and it's not one of hearts and flowers. Like I said, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. James isn't in town for long before he needs to get away from a mystery man passing his picture around the hospital and besides his brother, one of his first encounters is with Starr (Kristen Alderson). Look for James to be a thorn in Cole Thornhart's (Brandon Buddy) side and for him to live up to the Ford Family image as James pulls Starr into his sticky situation.

Yeah, I would've preferred they just kill Ford off and devote the air time to someone we already care about i.e. the dearly departed Kyle and Fish. They really ruined the Ford character; when he was working for David he seemed like a decent guy who happened to be hot but when they brought him onboard full time he became utterly one-note and totally unlikable. And this show has enough unlikable in that smug ass Todd Manning to last a lifetime.

I just hope that he has more to offer than a toned upper body (covered with enough body makeup to choke a horse!!!!!) and that pretty face. OLTL doesn't need more eye candy, they need good characters and good actors.

See Luke, Langston became unbearable cause Markko was nothing but kind to her and she cheated on him. With Starr, Cole has been an ass to her. I think Starr needs someone new. Something more exciting. Just cause Ford is a dick doesnt mean James will be.

Why does OLTL continue to build families around the most inconsequential, tertiary characters when the characters and families we've grown to know and love continue to be dismantled and humiliated with out-of-character motivations, embarrassing nonsensical storylines and unresolved story threads? They need to stop adding new characters until the show gets back on track.

Carol2 I didn't notice his resemblence to AMC's Marissa (Brittany Allen), I'm assuming that's the Olive O. you're reffering to lol but now i totally see the the similarity. He also kinda looks like a cross between Mathew (Eddie Alderson) and the girl that plays Dani Rayburn

First off, I think its kinda weird that he looks like he could be related to the Alderson's. Secondly Ford doesn't need a family. Now I love David Gregory, he is gorgeous and so sweet, but Ford is just a jackass of a character, he does not need a family. They should be bringing back Buchanan's (ie: Kevin and Joey) and C.J. Roberts and Cassie and River, they should not be adding family members for a character that most don't care if he lives or dies. Especially if these are the last "days" of the soap. And Luke I agree, they better not make Starr unlikeable like they did to Langston.
Now I will preface this by saying I am a HUGE Starr and Cole fan, have been since the beginning of their relationship. They are the best young couple on soaps these days. I can't stand how they are ruining Cole's character and having him be just as stupid as Markko was. But even if this James guy comes between them or whatever I have no doubt in my mind that down the line Starr and Cole will be back together. There has been too much time and effort and history put into this couple to just have them fall by the wayside, and I'm not just saying that b/c I am a fan of the couple but because its what I truly believe as an avid soap fan.
Like every one else has said, I just hope that this Nic guy is a good actor, I don't just want eye candy, I want someone who can bring something to the show and I truly hope he does.

James is not going to split Starr and Cole I can tell you that. Starr and Cole have been through too much to let either this guy of Hannah come in between them. they be in a real rough patch right now, but the only thing I can see good about this is these two back together, with their love for each other even stronger.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing this guy. I'm not a big fan of Fird and I know thjere are othere charactes whose famlies need fleshing out more but I'm hoping this guy could be a *real* bad guy, not just a sleeze like Ford. Not only that, but he might actually give Starr and Cole a real storyline, yay!
Plus, he's not to shabby to look at. ^_~
