Last week was a tough one for AMC fans so this week the PVB rates the farewells... Adam and Palmer's. What did you think, were our grades fair? (Pine Valley Bulletin)
The writing for GH characters when a new (or old) actor takes over the role changes so dramatically that the Serial Drama girls have had fun imagining how the Lucky/Michael scenes would have gone down with Greg Vaughan and Drew Garrett. The fact that this was the highlight of the week on GH says a whole lot, none of it good. (Serial Drama)
I have been shedding a few tears these days upon discovering Tea has just been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and the prognosis is not good. I have fallen in love with this character aptly portrayed by the accomplished Florencia Lozano. (Soap Opera Examiner)

I don't know which GH the "Serial girls" have been watching, but the GH that I've been watching this week, with the exception of yesterday's episode, has been pretty entertaining. There have been certain aspects of it that I have been underwhelmed by, but the writing and 99% of the acting has been spot on. Despite it's flaws, GH is still the best in daytime.
I found Palmer and Adam's farewells to be, for the most part, suitable and touching. Sometimes they did seem a little bit RUSHED, but I expected a lot of heavy-handed, overly dramatic goodbye scenes between Adam and his family, but I am kinda glad that I was wrong. After all, Adam is not a sappy creature, and never has been. Seeing him walk off into the sunset with Brooke was the best that I could ask for. Out of all of his ex-wives, Brooke is the one that I felt was the closest to being his "soulmate" out of all of them, so brava!!! Palmer's memorial was touching. I realize that James Mitchell requested no formal ceremony be held in the wake of his death, so I am glad that they respected his wishes. Palmer Cortlandt, like Adam Chandler, is a man who had no use for sappiness and melodrama, so I found it to be appropriate. I do wonder where Ross and Petey were, though. And I would've loved to see Cliff return (even though his portrayer is on Y&R, I am sure Barbara Bloom would've made an exception, just like they did when Christian LeBlanc and Jeanne Cooper asked to be a part of GL's final week!) Other than that, I loved the memorial for Palmer. And seeing Dixie welcome him into heaven at the end almost made me wanna cry!!
